“I wasn’t naming names,” Rhiyn teased. But she seemed to know anyway. Would a dragon fill up his heart or would his heart suddenly have more room? “A second mind?” He echoed. He couldn’t imagine it. He looked up again.
“Is that one your favorite?” He pointed.

Rhiyn smiled at her. He supposed she had known, he'd never felt that way about anyone else. "I hope I don't argue with my dragon," he said. "We haven't argued yet, either. Maybe I've become soft."
He couldn't help the smirk that crossed his features at that.
"I think I know which star you're talking about now," he said.

"Don't be too sure, it is bond to happen at some point. Monath and I had our share since she impressed to me. However, I know that she will always be there for me, since usually we agree. And you aren't getting soft, sometimes you just learn how to manage things. Oh, do you now?"she asked the last part about if he knew what her favorite star was.

Not soft, just learning? He supposed she was right. Children argued more than adults maybe, but he’d certainly seen his fair share of adults acting like children.
“Yeah,” he said, and looked up. “It’s definitely that one,” he said, pointing. It seemed to be the brightest star in the sky. It had to be!

Demanthra saw which star he pointed out, a smile coming to her lips.
"It is definitely a bright one, but that is still not my favorite. You have to keep looking, dear. I might suggest trying to look a little closer,"she suggested.

Closer to home? Rhiyn thought for a moment. Oh! She meant like he had teased her. Was it possible she meant him? “Me?” He guessed. He kissed Dea’s cheek and smiled. “Sneaky. You’re better at keeping secrets than I am.”

“I’ve never thought of myself as ‘shining’,” Rhiyn said, offering her a smile. It had taken him a long time to figure out what she’d meant! “But they are beautiful, aren’t they?” He was looking up again. “Will our whole lives be like this?” He asked. “Finding beauty together?”

Rhiyn smiled in understanding. It was like how he could see how she shined so brightly. He looked to her. “They don’t hold a glow to you,” he said. It was cheesy, but he meant it. If it had been socially acceptable to stare at his girlfriend, he would have. She was beautiful.
“Weathering whatever storm comes our way.” He nodded.

What did it mean? Rhiyn looked at her blankly. “Uh... that we’ll weather things together?” He offered. “I don’t know. What’s it mean?” He wasn’t a mind reader. He didn’t know what she wanted him to think. They were together and it would be a happy time.

"Well, it means that we will also be dealing with things when Monath rises again,"she spoke, reaching for his hand. It had been quite a day when Monath had finally done so for the first time. It wasn't that long ago, but it definitely had been something.
