Beatrice Kellye in the Foyer Her arm was quick to squeeze the goth girl's back, dark eyes scouring their surroundings for any more especially spooky things to point out. Marnzipan had already stared at the ancient looking chandelier (wonder if it had ever fallen on anyone?) but the decoration was hardly spooky by any means.
Why, there wasn't even a spiderweb in sight!!!
"You think this place is really haunted, Mar?"
Voice still at a whisper, the "witch" drew close to her companion, wishing she'd been successful in convincing the older girl to add a Ouija board to her purse. Granted, she'd have to have brought a fairly large sized purse to fit the board on but it wasn't like Marnie didn't probably have something that size in her expansive wardrobe.
Hmph.
"I wonder how we'll be able to tell. You think something's gonna come out at us? Maybe a possession??"

blythe clemmons - foyer
Tragic. Her lips quirked ever so slightly upward.
"I suppose sleeping at a supposedly haunted house has its charms," Blythe said. One could have imagined the pause before her last word, it was so brief. "At this time of the year, at least. There is clearly enough to see, either way. I noticed those paintings you have--"
Her eyes caught movement at the staircase, and she found herself staring at a pair of familiar idiots near the cordoned off area. A spike of loathing went through her, and she smothered the impulse to go get a drink.
"I am so sorry. Please excuse me for a moment, Ms. Rose." Offering an apologetic smile, Blythe moved to intercept Dmitri and Penrose and fix what they were messing with.
"What are you two doing here?" Her smile remained polite, but her silver eyes flashed as she made to grab their arms rather aggressive friend. "Are you blind?"

Amigar Perry - In the dining room
Amigar was super exited to have heard about this event. Now she really didn't know where she heard about the event, but she remembered seeing a flyer in her box at the bakery. Somehow it just so happened to fall on the one night her parents would be in town and be giving her a break from running the family shop. So she figured she might as well give it a shot, after all she loved Halloween and she didn't have any other plans so why not. Next thing she knew here she was. Her outfit was a little different probably then some. Since she showed up in her Umbreon outfit. She was a humanoid pokemon and she was loving it. She hoped people would recognize her, but she also was looking forward to seeing other peoples costumes as well. As she entered the house she noticed a beautiful dining room and headed in. She touched the edge of the dining room table. It looked beautiful and made of a super strong material. She wondered if she could get something like this in her home or cafe. She was already loving this place and she just got here. OCC: Hope I did this right but she is open for interactions. =]

Fiona Watson in the Dining Room
It was easy to take the lead when she had someone so accommodating with her as her boyfriend was. Of course, over the years, Fiona had learned that there would always be circumstances where people would turn to her and expect her to lead than letting her stand back and help someone else into the roll.
Most of the time, like now, she didn't mind, but sometimes it made her weary. Yet, those were thoughts for different things and different affairs, right now, she was focused on her evening out with her man and making sure her new friend was feeling included and comfortable.
"I love your costume," she replied, with utter sincerity. It seemed flattering on Jack's frame and it was always fun to see what outfits people picked and what that might mean for them.
"Have you been here long?"

Kavinsky in the Dining Room
Kavinsky was barely paying attention to his daughter because his finger came back with a sliver when he mistakenly ran his hand along the underside of the table. "s**t," he cursed, bringing said finger up to examine if he could see the splinter.
His nose wrinkled, teeth gritting together before he was moving away from the counter, leaving his knights behind as he looked around for anything, preferably something with better lighting away from the food before he was trying to peel it out with his blunt nails.
If he failed to find that he moved over to the man handing out wine. "Where's the bathroom?" he asked with a grunt, determined to take care of the annoying stick in his finger sooner rather than later.ghouliboo he's too distracted by splinters sad

Marnie Rogers in the Foyer
There was an audible sigh that escaped the teenager when she realized that the chandelier was ordinary. Lame and definitely not spooky enough.
Ugh.
"I dunno, probably," she replied with a shrug before jerking her thumb over her shoulder in gesture towards Krystal and Ebony, making it clear that she was talking about them. "I mean look at those crones, they reek spooky."
Marnie wasn't very quiet even as she shuffled around the foyer, until she came to the foot of the stairs, where the area was roped off. She turned to her companion, eyebrows raised. "Wonder what they're keeping from us, like why is this roped off. ~Spooky~," she cooed in a sing song voice before she was trying to peer at some of the portraits.

Adaline Prescott in the Dining Room
"I just got here," Adaline rambled, one hand wrapped around the strap of her bag. "It's, like, super exciting to see you here. I didn't know that you got out to these kinds of things. Did you like, get a special invitation or did you see some ad or whatever that made you curious?" Question after question spilled from her lips in almost rapid fire succession. She didn't even seem to breathe and yet, she was still capable of talking.
"Never heard of you," Adaline shot back, her smile still wide enough. "are you like, an assistant of his?" The question was asked in a cheery tone, with Adaline blissfully unaware of the irritation that made up one Queenie Powers.
"Oh, is your outfit something that you made or from your family's fashion line? It looks, really, really good."

Desdemona Anania - Entertainment RoomShe did love a party - and it had been a little too long since she’d taken the time to enjoy one. Granted, she really couldn’t remember ever having gone with a date in tow. A long time ago, she’d met someone at a party like this and they’d had an amazing night before it all went to hell. But that was a lifetime ago, and she had no recollection of the romance or horror that had befallen her that night. It was Natalie’s memory, not hers - and parties had never been anything but kind to Desdemona. The silver of her dress complimented her hair nicely, didn’t it? Although the risky slit up the side of it was her favorite little detail. Meanwhile her mask, perched neatly atop of her much like Otto’s, was an equally dinky little mockery of a white tiger’s face. “I wouldn’t know, “ she remarked lightly with a smile and a small laugh to match. “At least I have an excuse.” She did enjoy these little gestures of affection - she did love feeling worshipped, let’s be honest. Although eventually she might have to warn him against so much of it when they were powered. (It was hard though. Nissonite -was- something to look at, after all.) “A drink sounds nice, “ she purred out, quirking a brow at him as she slid a hand slowly along the length of his arm from shoulder to elbow, fingers cupping there. “I would love to dance somewhere. - or play pool, maybe - come to think of it, I have no idea how to play - “ she mused, tilting her head thoughtfully with a slight furrowing of her brow.

Imara White is in the Dining RoomImara looked as if she was about to say something when Mathias finished his statement and she nearly dropped the glass she was holding. "You did ....what?" The words were low, calm, and clearly filled with a confused rage. The tickets had been a 'gift' but now things weren't making any sense. "Why on earth would you..." Looking around, Imara made sure no one else was listening before whispering "Break your uncle's jaw?" -- Nicholas Fox is in the FoyerOh he had seen the jump and even behind his glasses, Nick had to smile. She always acted the little rose bud but now that he had seen her literally kick someone's a**, the act didn't go as far. "Mercy, I really do wish you would stop trying to be so..." his eyes glanced up at the paintings before he had to step back, realizing just how creepy they were. "Is that thing watching us?" He questioned, scanning the others on the wall before deciding that it was a good enough reason, even with the growing crowd, to change rooms. A red hint crossed his face though as he turned to head into what he guessed was the Entertainment room. "Thanks. My aunt picked it out. Said it was from some Italian designer she met over seas."

Omorose Khan in the Entertainment Room
Omorose was dressed as fitting as Penelope found the small girl to be. Ever since her corruption, Omo had followed her generals orders as much as she could. And her general spoiled her by shopping and helping her adjust to the new civilian life. Clothes she didn't apperciate anymore, in the closet of what was her former life were tossed for more appealing attire.
Even now, the small black dress was not of her choosing but she liked it. It was alluring and pretty and accessories were borrowed from Pen as a way to blend with whatever community dinner or party this was. Her chaperone? Partner? was another of Stellarite's recruits and one that Omorose was brand spanking new too.
Her arm was looped comfortably through Izzy's as if they were a couple, though it was more of an anchor so that Omorose didn't get lost.
"What was the point of this party again?" She looked around, then over towards her partner tonight, "Were we scouting out people to steal energy from?" The last part was more hushed.

Nadia Vetrov - Entertainment Room
Nadia loved her boys and when there was an invitation to a house to a party, you best believe she was dragging the two most handsome beautiful amazing dates with her. On one arm was her brother from another star, the south to her north, the Australias to her Borealis, Auguste. They were in fact opposites in looks only with his bright white hair and blue eyes, where hers was dark hair and more lazy expression.
On the other arm was the love of her life, reunited after tribulation and long distance and time, and the only man she had chosen to devote her life to. Past and present. They were all dressed to the T, because she liked to dress up and because she liked parties.
"I'm so excited." She squeezed both of their arms closer to hers as they entered the manor, assumedly into a entertainment room of sort. "I wonder if there will be dancing." Her eyes twinkled as she looked between the two men, "We could have a tango of a threesome way."

Otto Moor - Entertainment roomOne hand holding her's the other at the small of her back, Otto gave her a roguish grin as she followed the line of his arm up to his elbow, settling into his arms. "if you want to dance, we'll dance." Unlike some, he didn't have shame enough to be self conscious over his own dancing, which in turn made him pretty decent at it. But Des was no stranger to that. Thumb running along the line of her spine through the lovely silver dress, Otto rolled his eyes up from his pretty date and out into the room. Still no bar that he could see, but there did seem to be a pool table. "Or I could teach you how to shoot pool." It was low, half purred as he took a step back, swaying to the music drifting out from the speakers and drawing her along with him. Focus returning to her, he grinned again. "What do you think, beautiful?" Izume Sato-Himura - Entertainment roomIzume was having a hard time deciding if being at the party was going to be rare opportunity or a personal disaster. Her lips pressed in a thin line, she kept her arm linked with the girl beside her while violet eyes flicked around the room. "I don't think so?" Honestly, she wasn't entirely sure. Her general had told her to attend, and she'd not questioned the woman's orders thus far. This was, however, the first time she was being sent out without Lovi there to anchor her. It left her feeling a little cut adrift, even with Omorose's company. She seemed nice enough, from what very little she'd heard and experienced so far, but the truth of the matter remained that Izzy just didn't know her yet. Like her pretty companion, Izzy was dressed nicely. Little black dress that showed off what little curves she actually had. Ballerina flats, borrowed jewelry, and long hair pilled up in a simple bun; she didn't exactly feel like herself, but she hadn't decided yet if that was a bad thing. "I think maybe we're just here to enjoy the party." But it was hesitant, almost a question. Shoulders rolling up in a small shrug as she looked back at Omorose.

Auguste Atwell - Entertainment Room
It felt like a very long time since Auguste had been out in public.
A part of him still felt disinclined to be around people; but Lorne and Nadia were not just people, they were his family, his solid rocks in a world that - for the last year - had not felt entirely right to him in the same way that his body and his mind sometimes did not feel entirely right to him.
It was hard to remember the box he was meant to fit in sometimes.
Curling his fingers around Pasha's leash, Auguste absently tugged on a part of her vest that had ridden up, smoothing it out so that the bold white letters that proclaimed SERVICE ANIMAL - PLEASE DO NOT PET stood out cleaning against the bright red of the fabric.
"A tango?" he repeated, and glanced over at Nadia, lips curling in a faint smile.
"It's been a while since we've danced together, hasn't it?"

Omorose Khan in the Entertainment Room
Unlike Izzy, Omorose wasn't the greatest at reading moods but she could tell the girl felt awkward and well, they were just two awkward ducks in a giant room full of people, were they not?
"Listen. Stella....er...Penelope would always say to hold our head high right?" Omorose's chin lifted and she put on her best facade of confidence. "If we're here to have fun, let's have some!" She pulled out the recent addition of a cellphone to her purse and aimed it up. "First, we take a picture of ourselves, because we're cute as...cute as ********. Then we can ask the man in a suit if we can have alcohol." She smiled, "You ever had the bubbly stuff??"Beejoux she's a ball of something

Mathias White is in the Dining Room"Delilah," Mathias said quietly. "He caught me at the last investment meeting I had with Dad - he... said it was a shame that she'd go and do something foolish and not at least leave us some clue what had happened - makes probate messy, apparently. Only that's me being polite and that's NOT what he said, I'm not going to repeat what he said because just thinking about it already makes me want to do it again." The knuckles on his free hand were white - he was doing his best to not break the stemware in his hand, so he forced himself to calm down. "Aunt hooked us up with the party as an apology." He gave his wife a small weak shoulder shrug. "I mean I won't lie - I'd do it again." --- Mercy Haynes is moving from the Foyer to the Entertainment RoomTugging on Nick's arm lightly, Mercy made her way toward the sound of music and laughter as she hung on his arm like a proper lady. She smiled up at him, tilting her head a little. "Well, it looks good!" She wasn't going to ask him what she was supposed to stop being - because if he expected her to act anything other than a lady while at this party and in his presence - he had another thing coming. She was not going to go all Xena: Warrior Princess unless there was an emergency. "I don't know if they're watching us, but they are really, really creepy." She murmured Looking back the way they'd come at the portraits "I really wish I could remember where I'd seen that guy before..." --- Charles Nakahara is in the Entertainment Room"Not long," Charles said softly, his eyes drifting toward the table that hid the cut edge of the rug. "And, I would have come and picked you up, but my car is in the shop - I had to take a cab." Not an Uber, not a Lyft, a cab. They needed money too - and he'd rather ride with someone licensed and registered than risk a stranger. Charles escorted Sita toward the table, before crouching down to try and get a better look at the cut part of the rug."Here, play lookout for me while I take a look," He said up to his date as he moved.
