Character Name: Leon NohrenbergTeam: BLUE - ELIMINATED Prompt #: 6C POINT TALLY: 39 - 3 = 36 They'd made it to the base. The people who had split up before were gathering together, and it was time for the final showdown. Leon was ready, so ready, and dang if he wasn't going to keep his focus till the very end. Everything was going so great! The spears were flying, everyone was in perfect sync! And then... and then... It was a great tragedy. Leon was so close, he almost crossed the threshold, but apparently he had missed one of the turrets, because one shot him from behind and did just enough damage to eliminate him. He wondered if the "WHAT?!" could have been heard throughout the convention center. He was absolutely fuming. "What, what, what what..." All he could do was stare at the screen in shock and horror. He would probably be grieving over this loss for a while. As he exited the station, his "whyyyyyyyyy" seemed to trail after him. So tragic... [WC: 157]

Character Name: Chase Black Team: Spectator
Chase let Suri prattle on without much commentary. He knew how she felt and why she felt so, but hearing it out loud only reaffirmed such things for him. "Everything we do has to be linked with something 'mundane'," he countered, tone flat but not quite condescending. "A side-effect of matters that appear so publicly."
After the debacle with the festival, which had technically been before his time with the company in any iteration, they had to be more careful, more strategic in how they did things. Scrutiny was something that he was familiar with and thought himself decently equipped to handle.
"Good luck," he offered, a smirk gracing his lips when he watched Suri stalk off to play the game she didn't want to but would because it had become and expectation.amitotic be free and game little bird

"Yay"
Kaileen was so happy that she was able to attack and got some of the enemies. She wanted to try again. Hopefully she could impress all her teammates. She though her spear toward another enemy and managed to hit a tower right behind them. The tower fell apart. But part was that she got hit by the debris of the tower.

Character Name: Sophia Thomas Team: Red Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: ------
Video games were about the furthest thing from Sophie's hobby list. They sat along right up there with things like talking to people and extreme sports.
Computer related things were fine, really, but when it came to playing games on the systems the most she'd ever done were the little programs they used to have in elementary school - the ones that helped you with your vocabulary or colors. The occasional game of Oregon Trail or Solitaire had amused her but this?
This was way out of her league.
And yet, here she was, staring at a screen after being shoved in line to play this strange, unfamiliar game alongside all these strange, unfamiliar people.
Biting her bottom lip, she glanced through the options of characters. Opting for the one with the bow (that seemed the safest bet, staying back and away from everyone else), she clicked on the mouse to choose Velites and enter the game.

It looked, from what she could tell, that she'd been assigned the "red" team.
Sophie didn't have any earthly idea what that meant, nor the scrambled up letters of "GL" and various other nonsensical word arrangements on the screen in front of her. Others were in her group, most with either sillier or cooler names than her handle (SThomas, upon reflection, did not seem like a very in character name to assign her ranger) but she tried not to dwell on her error as she set off for the path she was pretty sure the others directed her towards.
Little tiny NPC characters trailed behind her and it was a small comfort during this very, very confusing time for Sophie.

Sophie had no idea what she was doing.
Smashing the buttons, she quickly figured out what the "shooting" button was and hit it without hesitation. Over and over again, her poor little ranger kept shooting at anything and everything that fell into his path and before she knew it, her teammates were typing in more strange letters at her and seeming very excited.
Then again, they could have been yelling profanities at her and she wouldn't have known any differently.
Her ranger and little minions somehow managed to take down a tower - wow. Had she really done that???

She shot and she shot and she shot and she shot. Her finger was growing tired, almost aching at how hard she was smashing against it to ensure all of her arrows were flying out.
How in the world could people play like this on a regular basis???
It didn't take long for the enemies to find her and her little minions. In no time at all, the small group was overwhelmed and the blue team came crashing down on the poor red team's head. Despite her best button smashing, Sophie's character soon perished alongside his minions and the letters on the screen kept getting more erratic and seemingly angry up until the computer screen itself went dark.
Embarrassed at clearly messing up horribly, Sophie's hands quickly started wringing together nervously as she quietly made her way away from the table and towards the exit - the poor girl refusing to make eye contact with anyone else in the process, lest she find any of her angry teammates on the way out.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: n/a Hell yes! Raina had won some tickets to this convention, and one of the first things she was thrilled to discover was the fact that this convention had a new game to test out. A new game, exclusive to the convention, exclusive to a convention that was new and local to Destiny City, and a convention that she had even managed to win tickets to. Raina was thrilled. She felt all exclusive and stuff getting to try this game out. Admittedly, MOBAs weren't really her thing. Her main thing was racing games, so many racing games. MOBAs were a completely different field from her normal thing. In fact, she was fairly sure that the closest she ever got to a MOBA was probably a platformer. Were those even related? Raina scrunched her nose. Not really. Whatever. She plopped herself into the chair and threw the headphones over her ears, leaning in towards the computer. She popped in the codename 'Raibeam,' because of course she did, before looking over the three characters she could choose from. Defense? Boring. Murmillo was passed right over. Velites? Meh.Rudiarius was where it was at! Raina picked him and got ready to go.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 2 POINT TALLY: 3 Alright, now what? What exactly did one do in a MOBA, exactly? Just fight other people, right? That was what the point was? Or was it that she fought like waves of enemies? Was this more League or-- Oh. Raina nodded when she was given directions and sent Rudiarius down the center path, seeing the enemies that started throwing themselves in her direction. Quickly, she used the controls that she had seen posted up to direct her minions in the direction of the enemies, hoping that maybe she would come out ahead. Perhaps because she was not as used to MOBAs as she was to other game types, Raina's minions took a bit of a beating, but overall, she came out ahead. Better than she thought she would do, at least. Raina wiggled in her seat, positioned herself confidently, and continued onwards.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 3 POINT TALLY: 3 + 5 = 8 So it seemed this game was pretty focused on points, so Raina was fairly sure she needed more of them. She could just continue to proceed to the next major point in the game, but she could also grind for points by looking around for more enemies. So Raina did just that. She wasn't going to let herself lose that easily. The best players of these MOBA things probably did a lot of grinding. It was pretty key in a lot of RPG games, and she didn't necessarily see why it would be different in this situation-- As she dug around, she eventually came upon a gold mine, spotting a tower in the distance. With her handy sword, Raina sent Rudiarius and his minions into the fray, screeching (perhaps annoyingly) in her mic in unison with the successful swings Rudiarius made. Her strategizing was on point considering she barely knew what she was doing in MOBAs. Perhaps general game skill translated into other games. She cackled as she conquered the tower without much effort, and carried on in her fight.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 4 POINT TALLY: 8 Feeling fairly confident in herself at this point, Raina, also known as Raibeam, wearing the guise of Rudiarius, headed into the next part of the game, ready to take on whatever came up to her. Was that a new enemy on the horizon? It looked like a powerful one. They had a lot of minions of their own... No problem! She could take them on. With a confident, "Charge!" Raina set some commands for her minions to carry out as she sent them at the enemy minions. This was considerably less strategic, as while she eliminated the enemy's minions, she watched in horror as all of her minions started falling down at her feet. s**t-- Raina quickly turned to retreat, but at no prevail. The enemy struck into her back, and her Rudiarius fell to the ground. Was there anything that could be done? Quickly, she dug into her inventory.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 4 (EXTRA) POINT TALLY: 8 + 2 = 10 She had to have something useful in all the stupid items she had managed to pick up from all the downed enemies. The gold was worthless right now, it wasn't like she was anywhere near a shop she could actually use it at, and considering she was bleeding out, it wasn't like putting on any extra gear would have done any good-- Ah, an HP Potion! Perfect! Raina smashed the button required to use it, and her health jumped back up by half. It gave her the opening to swing around a slay the enemy! While she had no more minions left for now, she had managed to win this round, and with some level of renewed confidence, she moved on in the game.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 5 POINT TALLY: 10 + 1 = 11 If Raina was hoping that she could just get to the final part of the game at this point, she was sorely disappointed to find that she was simply surrounded by towers that she had to deal with. More towers. The first tower she had found had been easier than pie, and Raina figured that these two would be harder, but hopefully not too hard. Rudiarius had been a strong and useful fighter for her, and even at half-health, she was confident he would continue to be. These towers were considerably harder than the first one she faced, and it took a lot more out of Rudiarius to take them down in consequence. Having only recovered so much of her force was likely not helping her overly much, but she managed to make it out with half of her force in tact. That wasn't her concern, though, considering after she had taken so much damage, she had decided to, strategically, use her minions to absorb damage. Rudiarius made it through with relatively little extra damage, and she even had a few minions to take with her to the final round. She cracked her knuckles. She could do this.

Character Name: Raina ArayaTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 5 POINT TALLY: 11 + -5 = 6 Or not. Raina, aka Raibeam, aka Rudiarius, was alarmed to find that while she had made it this far, none of her allies did. Oh. She was easily overwhelmed, her minions taken out in seconds before she was wiped out in a couple blows. Her character fell, and she was left with the red 'GAME OVER' signal flashing over her screen. With a groan, she ripped off her headphones, before ... gently setting them next to her computer. Didn't want to cause any trouble, after all... She had made it so close to winning, too. How annoying.

Character Name: Queenie Powers Team: Red Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: {ineligible}
Queenie had watched her superior officer find her way to the gaming section and had followed along at a distance, as she hadn't been technically invited to participate. Ms. Ellis and the handsome man with black and pink hair were talking, Mr. Black obviously cajoling the stern faced Suri into playing the new game they had out for testing.
Queenie herself wasn't much for gaming. She enjoyed the occasional Candy Crush on her phone and had dabbled with a couple arcade games in her youth but computer-based games were... odd, at best.
Still, she wasn't about to let Ashley show up and best her at something like this and if she succeeded in her attempt, maybe even Ms. Ellis would take pride in knowing her protege was even more talented than she realized.
Sitting down at one of the keyboards, she wrinkled her nose as she gingerly picked up the mouse. There was no telling how many other people had picked it up before her, so she used the excess fabric of her skirt to quickly wipe away what germs from the surface that she could manage.
Oh, what she wouldn't give for a little hand sanitizer right then and there!
The screen looked confusing and strange, prompting her to pick a character. She went for the most handsome looking character (of course), settling on Murmillo as she entered the game.
