NOW! WHILE THEY WERE DISTRACTED BY......THEIR WRONGS!
She would quickly do the worm and wiggle away, stealthily even though she had no stats for it. It was met with a couple of thumps, wrangling, and sliding. Somehow she had done it.
It was too strong, the stench of debauchery gone afoul as the males appeared to fight for no godly reason while the pinkette and the baltic young woman were too busy lessin'. A heavy thump of a coffin unbeknownst to her had almost given away her position when she almost hit her head over the vent.
But she had managed to pull the latch with her teeth ordained by the church and scurried on away. She knew she was not yet strong enough to take on the hive of sinners but the location was all she needed to know!
To then come back once preparations were complete! [exits]
[ Barbos tilts his hat as Henry expertly dodges his air slash. Making mockery of his simple efforts. He has an almost worried smile on his face, as he whistles. “Aw man. I was hoping that one would hit.” he teases playfully as the man comes flying at him from the air. The tension is rising, as Tana remains underground. As the coffin riding opponent flies closer, Barbos tilts back his hat. “Still…” he says, turning his body to the side and lifting his sword straight into the air. “Do you mind quitting this early? It’ll get dangerous soon.” he says, almost ominously. With one powerful swipe, his swings his arm down, sending a vertical blade at the man, right towards the center of the coffin, hoping to split it in two. “Two Becomes One!” he shouts immediately following his slash. Hearing the words, A greenish miasma seeps from his body like an aura, while his eyes go serpentine. Then from the ground on either side of the coffin, as if trying to intercept him, two large king cobra burst from the ground, mouths agape. Their aim, the man on the coffin.
「 Gemini Coil 」!
The two roar in unison. One of Barbos’ most basic skills. He’d need to test how Henry can get out of sticky situations--or if something like this would even be considered sticky for him at all! ]

Nothing emboldened the spirit more than the potential of death wafting through the air! Henry would make his hastened decent at the suit only to find he was prepared for him! A vertical slash was incoming and he had no way of evading it! There was no time!
The young necromantic would flip the coffin to where the face of it would take the brunt of this mighty slash. Suit was a lot stronger than his appearence and demeanor would let on! The thick door took severe damage from the blade but it was still able to do its job as a door...just with a large gash in the middle. The force of such a powerful swing would push him back into the clutches of two large serpents that would engulf his form. ”Slithery serpents from the great beyond!” He would make a muffled exclamation out from inside the snakes. The great serpents bodies squeezed tightly, pushing Henry with great force against his coffin. The already damaged door would begin to crack.
”And it was mahogany too...” A black vapor would begin to seep from the young man’s form and envelop any space he and the coffin were not taking up inside the serpents grasp. The snakes would feel a squirming, stinging, burning sensation! Henry liked to describe it like flaming maggots gnawing at your flesh! ”[Breath of Death!] Shinenenenene~” If the snakes did not release him soon, they would be enveloped and eventually be able to stand face to face with Lord Death himself! What a marvelous experience that would be!!
[ Madness! Did he have a death wish?! Barbos’ eyes widen in surprise as Tana swallows the man in the midst of his antics. A bead of sweat crawls down his face as he holds up a hand a bit worriedly. “Ah… That, might be bad. I figured he’d have a way to avoid it. Oh dear.” he chimes, preparing to swing his arm to the side and call off Tana before she truly does swallow the man. If he gets too low, she’d digest him without fail. Yet, a sharp sensation crawls up his spine as he “feels” the pain surging up Tana’s serpentine body. The goddess coughs the man up, dropping him grossly before her body.
She coughs and grasps at her throat followed by her return back to Barbos’ side. She coils around the man firmly for a second until a sigh of relief escapes her mouth. Barbos merely watches silently, knowing she heals faster the closer to him she is. “Was it that bad?” He asks, staring Henry down. His partner releases the bind on her master and chooses to float by him instead. “Yes. I can’t tell what his power is, but even for something immortal like me… I felt like I’d die if I endured it for too long.” Barbos exhales in concern as he glares forth. The atmosphere had gotten heavy now. He underestimated Henry after all. It would seem that he too wields an otherworldly power. Something that simply should not be in the hands of man. And he in particular… It would seem he has quite a troublesome gift. “Then, we go at a range.” the man says firmly. “The usual?” Tana asks, glancing over to her master. To which he replies with a nod. In a dash, the two separate, dashing around towards Henry from two different sides. “Two becomes one!” they should together. And with a wave of their arms, as if aiming towards one another, giant skeletal snakes shoot towards Henry in a spiral from his left and right.
[ Strengh: 015 || Prowess: 050 || Defense: 000 || Speed: 050 || Stamina: 011 || Vitality: 000 ] [ HP: 260 || Stamina: 304 || Spirit: 000 || Race: Human || Perk: Energetic || Traits: Devil Fruit // Assassin // Life Return || TSP (Total Stat Points): 126 || Devil Fruit: Decay Decay | Gensui Gensui no Mi ]
Henry must have been an acquired taste because Tana would spit him up almost as quickly as she consumed him! He bathed daily and his clothes were clean. Must have been the coffin. Not many things can eat wood. The young man would smile a deathly grin. ”Lord Death has blessed me with his touch. With his most generous gift, I can free people from this mortal plane to be by his side. Shinenenenene~” His words spoken in between their pauses.
A strong tug on the rope would bring the damaged coffin up and onto Henry’s back. He could see that the duo was more cautious about fighting him now that he had revealed his ability. His body would drip with serpent saliva though it looked to be that Henry did not mind at all. His disposition was still as cheeky as ever! With a smile, he would watch as the two would dash off to either side of him. ”Hm. They seem to play well together! Shinenene!”
With no lag between the two, they would simultaneously send forth skeletal serpents at young Henry! They would twist about, spiraling towards their inevitable collision. The death advocate would have to think fast. From the crack on the door of his coffin, a black fog would seep out and quickly envelop his form. The snakes would collide with this fog and be turned to dust before reaching his body. Henry’s power was death but when really broken down it was actually entropy. He was able to bring all things that came into contact with him or his obsidian mist to its conclusion...
The fog would begin to expand, forming a large orb and blanketing the ground around said orb. Out of the orb came decrepit fingers. Skeletal structures! They looked to be the remains of fallen people. They would drag, limp, and crawl their way out of the mist! They themselves looked to be made from it but a little more condensed than the gas itself! As they would slowly exit out the sphere of death and rise from the mist covered ground, they would stand their for what seemed like an eternity but was really barely a second.
As if time has halted, deep within the dreaded sphere of gaseous decay, Henry sat alone. He sat center stage in a veil of entropy alone, where no other man could stand. Where no one would be able to help him or guide him. To save him...and he stood there...with a smile. : )
[“Open The Crypt!!]
The manifestations of the decaying gas would rush forward at full speed along with the destructive mist! It rushed towards all sides seeking to fill the entire arena though it would stop at its walls, not seeking to climb over and spill into the stands. The creatures, however, would charge straight for Barbos and Tana, their forms consisting and surrounding by this deathly haze!! A single touch or wrong move could mean their end and even if the summoned horrors weren’t able to get them, the floor was now quickly being covered in the stuff! Things were looking grim for our young suit and his strange assistant!
”Shinenenene! Shinenene! Shineeeenenenenene!!” Henry would laugh from within the dreaded smog. Though in all his laughter he would not notice the single tear that escape his eye. He would not notice the expressions of his family that flashed in his mind of how they were torn asunder by the same ability he now clung to to survive. He would not notice his mind subconsciously molding their forms from the fumes around him. Hugging him with them. Trying to ease his troubled psyche. He would not notice.
[ This, was trouble. Barbos comes to a sliding halt as Henry’s powers consume and dismantle the very makeup of his serpents. He had figured ‘this power must bring the living closer to death’, since it could even affect Tana. But no. Watching his attack crumble away, his usual relaxed smile fades. “Ah… We might be in trouble here. Tana.” he says, calling for the serpent god to return. She plunges into the ground and makes way over to him, popping up behind as Henry’s skill forms some ominous looking orb. Weary of this ghastly looking structure, he leaps back a few times, leaving his wrist resting over the hilt of his katana. All he can think about, all that Tana can feel from her instincts… “This is bad.” And right then the mist expands along the ground, threatening to consume him and everything else on the arena’s floors.
His eyes go serious as Barbos changes into an iiado stance. The horrible manifestations of the coffin-bearers machinations charge forth, giving the visage of a horrible scene. Of the likes no man should see. Where the dead return, prepared to take from the living what they once had. Life. Barbos’ body tenses further as he gathers the strength and focus he needs. Tana’s eyes progressively grow red as her flesh is shrouded in black. “Yuyuko, shields.” he’d command. And right before the mist, only inches away, can touch his shoes. Hie swings, creating a terrible vacuum of winds from the strike. A large twister that, with any luck, would suck most of the chaos into a singular point. Now. “Three becomes one.” Barbos would hold up a hand, and clench it tight as several black boned serpents would shoot up like chains from the ground, hoping to limit the man inside’s movements. Confine him. Keep him still.
「 Chains of Promathea! 」
Because this is starting to get a tad bit dangerous. His twister, if persisting, would funnel between the two of them with savage winds. “Will that do? ...Though, I never expected I’d have to go this far to begin with.” he says in a chuckle, a bit disappointed his hand was forced. ]

Bronze skinned fingers wrapped tightly around a knife as she remained in the large building they had previously had a meeting in, everyone had separated, but she had been approached by some of the islanders who were looking almost terrified of the woman. Golden eyes narrowed in on them as they acted like shy children, "Speak or move." her response was swift as she would glare at them all. The men grimaced, "W-well you killed a bear right? Did...did you?" they questioned staring up at her, "Aye, it roasting. I bring it." she'd state shoving past all of them, "Stay here, I'll be back soon." she muttered. Stomping past them as she would replace the knife in it's sheath and head out. Long legs ate the distance back to her camp where the meat had browned nicely, a smirk played on her lips as she would grab brown sugar and start to sprinkle it generously over the roasting bear meat. Some of the smaller pieces were done so she'd easily cut them in half and pick them up to lay on the cutting board, the smell of roasted meat and the scent of thyme and rosemary clung to the pieces masking the scent of the game they represented. Cutting a small chunk she'd pop it in her mouth and taste it, she'd grimace as she figured this was still pretty bland, she'd chop it into smaller chunks and grab some brown sugar and roll the chunks in it before skewering them with some pork belly wrapped around it and some slices of potatoes. She'd start to roast them over the fire and smell the sweetness roll off the skewers and the smell of roasting bacon and seasoned potatoes. She'd take a few hours to wrap up the extra meat from the bear and pack it away into an insulated metal box as well as putting the skewers into bamboo wraps and threw them into her back pack. She'd bring the bag over her shoulder and pick up the metal chest before making her journey back up to HQ and meeting the chefs from before. The men looked concerned and attempted to rush up to help her but she'd growl at them, "Kitchen." she'd grunt as she would tote the metal chest to the kitchen area.
Slamming the chest down on the floor she'd open it and the smell of roasted bear scented the air, she put a bag down on the counter and unslung her backpack, she'd open one of the ovens and glance in before she'd sniff and set it on broil. A pan was handed to her and she'd place the skewers she made on the pan before starting to raid the kitchen while all the chefs sort of cowered around her, soon enough a variety of sauces were before her and she was pouring two or three over the skewers, "Uh...what?" one of the chefs braved her and indicated the sauces she was throwing on, "Soy Sauce, worstchire and seasame oil." she'd state before grasping a jar from the pack she brought and sprinkling the white powder over the skewers, "White Pepper." she'd respond happily as she would then stick the skewers into the oven. The smell that wafted from the oven became prominenet, "Bring me the meat." she'd order and the men were quick to follow. She was quick to start cutting the meat up and let it air as she would pull out a jar from her bag and started to pour a golden liquid over the meat. It took a few jars but soon the meat was saturated in the honey, "Honey." she'd indicate as she would move to the stove and take one of the many pots that were there and pour some more honey into it and then pour a yellow jar in, "Spicy mustard with pine cone sap." she'd state and began to heat it on low and stir for awhile. When the smell of something caramalizing started to begin she'd add brown sugar and butter and soon the caramel smell would overpower the earlier smell that had been there, "Stick the extra into a big pot." she'd state as the men were basically twidlling their thumbs. It took ten minutes but soon the extra was all piled into a tall pot and she'd pour the large amount of sauce over it, a smile curled on her lips as she would move to grab a jar with lots of something crushed sat in a jar. She'd dump it in and look to the men, "Roasted chest nuts." she'd state and stir. Scents mingled together and the entire kitchen started to smell wonderful, "Let simmer for three hours then add water and veggies. I suggest tomato, carrot, onion and celery. Possibly some lentils if you want a more sweet flavor." she'd state taking the skewers out and then packing them away again. She'd move as she'd lift up a large jar and shake it, the substance inside turned yellow as she would look to the men, "Barbos." she'd state. One of the men was quick to point her to the arena.
The quick journey down had been fairly annoying as she carried the large pan of skewers with her, she wasn't sure who was there, but she'd easily step in to the area to witness a fight occuring, she'd look confused as she would stare at the audience and then at the rest, "Strange people." she murmured as she would move to the edge of the arena and place down the skewers, the smell wafted up as she uncovered the skewers and then opened the jar she had. Yum sauce was placed into the pan and only the tips of the skewers were covered with the sweet sauce, she'd take one and roll it in the spread out sauce and then started to eat, the burst of flavor in her mouth was amazing as she'd munch on the food she brought while watching the ongoing fight.

The veil of death was being consumed by the strong winds! The creatures would try to push forward but would be unable to over power the large twister. Henry’s gaze would snap to Barbos’ locale, eyes of crimson would instill the fear of death into all that bore witness to his form. The shadow creatures that hung from his form made for a horrific sight. Their forms rotted and decayed...it was the stuff of nightmares!
”Shinenene...” Before the young acolyte could respond, snake like chains would wrap themselves around his form. An attempt to chain death... The mist, though contained in this finite twister, was beginning to seep back out onto the field. The cyclone was slowing and Henry was still creating more of the smog though there was now an opening in his dome of gaseous doom.
The creatures that loomed over his form would begin to caress the chains, slowly rotting them away. Soon he would be free! Free to unleash an attack that could possibly kill everyone in the room! ”Soon...soon you shall all become more!” Was there nothing that could be done? How does one go about stopping death?
[ Madness! No other words could describe this chaos. This man, Henry, is dangerous. Dare to say as much--if not more, than even Hunter and Anastasia. And that’s saying a lot. In the end, his attempts at subduing the mad coffin-equipped psycho would only be just that. An attempt. And one that would quickly start to fail. His twister, slowing as the strange mist tears at its very being. Needless to say the binding serpents slowly crumble away. But that’s just fine. With a sigh, Barbos glances up from beneath the rim of his hat with slit serpentine eyes as his forms loosens up. “Tanaaa… No more messing around.” he says in a way completely unfitting of how he’s been until now. Like he’s a whole different person, cruelling giving a soldier orders to kill.
To his words, the ground would begin to rumble and a large serpent-esque beast fires from the ground covered in all black scales, fashioned with tendril like hair, six bloodshot glowing red eyes, and a mouth large enough to swallow several elephants at once. The massive body would attempt to slam into the man covered by his undead entourage, and crash him the wall opposite of Barbos. In the frenzied excitement, should the man get pinned, the monster’s maw would open wide, hoping to swallow Henry whole. Only due to the fragrance of a more appealing smell does it stop, change back into its smaller humanoid form, and fly over to Bella who had come in with delish meat. “Lala, meat.” she begs, holding an index finger against her bottom lip as she stares greedily at the beautifully cooked food. A state where even Barbos’ commands can’t reach her. ]

The chains would turn to ash as they would come into contact with Henry’s skin. This was only natural! Death had chosen him to be his disciple! There was no way a few petty chains and a mild breeze were going to stop him from doing what he was meant to do. Though he would have very little time to retaliate as the body of a large snake would collide with him with great force. The young man’s body would be sent barreling to a wall, effectively pressed between it and the buso covered body.
Normally he would have still been able to fight even after such a mighty blow but the back of his head had hit the wall causing him to lose consciousness. In his mind flashed images of his family. Time they spent together, laughed together, and helped one another. These happy memories would turn sour as a dark mist would envelop his family and he would get further and further away from them no matter how hard he ran! Henry would yell, ”Henry! Mom! Dad!” His hand reaching for them but they’re forms would only decay as they got further away. Though even through this their smiles persisted. The words, ”We love you.” Would echo in the voice of his mother.
As their image would fade, the smog would form a large skull and would laugh maniacally as it would chase Henry down and inevitably swallow him. He would awake from his nightmare in a sweat! The room he was in was empty. Looking to his right, he would see that his coffin was now fixed and cleaned. His clothes sat beside them. Someone had treated his wounds and cleaned his gear! How nice of them! Henry’s expression was very solemn, the dream he had still lingered and for a moment he was a little more like himself...that is until a nurse would walk in.
”Oh! I didn’t know you’d be awake so soon!”Henry would simply smile at her as she moved about. She would walk over and place a small medallion on top of his clean clothes. Her fear was apparent which only made Genry smile even more brightly at her which only fueled her rational fear. ”I...Lord Barbos told me to...give you that. E-excuse me!”There was a chance to make a new friend but given the circumstances he decided against blessing people with death.
He would stand, clean himself up, and get dressed before heading straight up to where Barbos’ office is located. He didn’t know where it was at first but it was rather easy to get information from people because of how intimidating Henry was. Apparently word got around of his ability and people did not want to upset him! Lucky them! Henry never got upset! He was always as happy as can be! : )
He would make it to the top floor, which was completely dedicated to being an office and living space for Barbos. It was a lavishly decorated floor with several doors leading to bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, etc. It was a house on top of a tall building! Henry wanted a sky high house. The attendant would guide hims straight down the hall to where the office was and there he would ait patiently in wait for his new boss. He’s touching everything in the office...
Bella would munch on the meat as she would continue to watch the battle only stopping when suddenly Tana was before her, looking needy. The amazon stared for a long moment before she'd slowly hold out another stick to the girl as if she was afraid her hand would be bitten off. Once it was taken she'd leave the remaining food and head out. It was clear that no one here had much need for her so she'd go about her normal business.
Taking a sip of her tea, Yuyuko had to wave a hand in front of her as Ana may have taken her jab at the president a tad too seriously. "Oh no he is very capable indeed I was just poking fun is all...Though he is still quite dense sometimes." She said, looking over to the arena as the fight had already gotten started while Ana kept flirting with her. "Well you are welcome to try and change my mind but I don't promise you anything~" She replied to the invite, winking as she observed the battle. This Henry fellow had quite an unusual power and it made her think of something opposite her old ability. Something that decayed instead of healed on contact. Still, she would simply sit back, drinking tea besides Ana as the back and forth continued before hearing a rather silly suggestion from her fellow spectator. "Oh no that might make Barbos get jealous~" She teased her reply, almost half considering allowing it just for that very purpose before mentally dismissing such a silly idea. Perhaps she'd joke to Barbos about it later to tease him.
"Oh I've been quite well honestly dear. Recently helped a small island recover from some pillaging and destruction, so more or less my usual work." She said, maintaining her cheerful disposition as the two men duked it out before them. She would smile, watching the fight calmly as she seemed to have faith in the president. In fact, when he called out for shields, she didn't even more, but Ana would notice the entire outer wall and the area of the stands they were inside of had suddenly transformed into dense string. The walls then extended upwards, preventing Barbos' attacks from causing any damage to anything beyond the interior of the arena as her defensive structures were incredibly durable. It wasn't until an earth shaking impact was made that she lowered the barrier down, knowing just what that had been as she finished her tea.
"Wasn't that a bit rough for a newbie Barbos~?" She would ask him softly, hopping down into the arena to go and inspect the man's head and general injuries before she created a duplicate of herself to pick him up. She'd make sure to have the string clone carry him back to the infirmary as he didn't seem to have any truly serious injuries but some basic treatment and rest would be helpful. "So while I go and put him down for a bit of a nap, was there anything else you had planned for the day?" She would ask curiously while her string puppet went off without her. She knew the area like the back of her hand and coupled with some Kenbunshoku, she could control and direct it anywhere on the island with ease, even out of sight.
A town! There had been some doubt in her mind that the island was inhabited by anything other than strange animals. Surprisingly a flat area in the center of the mountain range would house the kingdom that was described in the invitation. There had to be some path, natural or man-made, that would allow them to move through said mountains otherwise leaving and entering the kingdom would be a giant pain. But what a view it was. The cold breeze brushing her hair as Yuuma glided down the mountain.
In the outskirts of town a family had returned home after a feast had been hosted by kingdom's owner, Barbos. To there surprise a corpse would be waiting at their doorsteps, blood splattered all over their house, guts and shattered bone appearing outside the body. Wife screaming, children crying, and the father freaked out when the mush started to move and reform itself.
What a mighty fall that was. Yuuma would have loved to lay there a while longer but the cries of the family ruined any relaxation that could be had. Standing back up her body would rapidly repair itself, along with her clothes, before strolling towards the center of the kingdom. Biting her nails in anticipation; Barbos must be a passionate man seeing how well off the townsfolk were. Arriving at the main building, assuming it was the headquarters, she entered only to be met with swords drawn by a couple of guards. The family she had scarred had sent a distressed message towards the guards about her and saw her as a hostile. When all she had done was jump off a mountain and landed at the family's porch.
[ As it turns out, Tana’s haki coated super mode was able to do the trick. Possibly a bit too much, since Barbos didn’t intend to send Henry flying into the wall. Tana was busy stuffing her face with Bella, but the woman leaves before he was given the chance to ask for some of the skewers himself. A shame. Enough so that he visibly shows the disappointment on his face as he watches the lovely skinned woman step off. Though, that’s expected of her, since she’s probably busy. With a sigh, he watches as Henry is taken away to the infirmary, giving him an empty gaze with a hand supporting his hat. “We’ll be...needing to keep special eyes on that one. Better for him to be on our side than otherwise.” he remarks, as Tana hovers behind him, eyes slit and looming towards the unconscious man. Though normally aloof and childish, even she sees the merit in not underestimating the ‘Death-Man’.
Regardless, his serious undertone would fade when Yuyuko approaches him, questioning his levels of violence against his new employee. After a chuckle the man removes his jacket with the help of Tana. Beneath are detective suspenders, fashioned with a holster and a serpent themed pistol. Tana takes hold of the jacket and drapes it over herself, crossing her arms to try and replicate her master. Tough face and all. With one hand on his hip, and the other rubbing the back of his head, Barbos exhales. “Well, it’s not like I was given much choice. That guy was super scary you know. Look at what he did to the arena.” he points out, focusing on all of the degredated landscape and structures they’ll have to get replaced. Barbos feels a heavy darkness hang over him as he realizes Kanna will certainly destroy him for this budgetary issue. He’d start walking, most likely with Yuyuko and Ana by his side, as he explains his plans for the remainder of the day.
With the meeting being over, Henry having been dealt with, and the rounds made to the various villages around the island, there really isn’t much left to do. “I was thinking that maybe I could personally see to issuing missions out in a little bit here. I’d like to give everyone something unique to do above the general rift raft. Afterwards, I’d like to head out for a bit myself.” He says, looking out the window towards the sky. He smiles, thinking how it’s such a lovely day, and for the most part, things have gone rather well. It’s only when the group gets back to the main floor do things start to look strange. “Hm? Now what do we have here?” he questions, pocketing his hands. The President is carried over towards a group of guards aiming their weapons towards a strange man...no, woman? His head tilt’s not properly able to distinguish due to the excessive covering of the individual’s face.
“Lord President, be careful! This strange person has been causing trouble with their presence, and they might be dangerous!” one of the guard captain’s pleads.
Barbos merely nods to the woman, accepting her words, and returns his gaze to the new person present. His right hand slips out of his pocket and lifts up straight. A greeting to the foreign presence, to break the ice for one. “Well now, let’s all calm down for just a second. Hello, you must be one of the potential recruits given an invitation by our scouts!” he starts, only stopping as Tana interjects, holding up a clipboard she quite literally just pillaged from Kanna’s grasp. “Bobo! This person is in the picture, but she’s right here too! Amazing!” she explains, genuinely perplexed at how the recruit could possibly be in two places at once. After carefully taking the file from his serpentine companion, and ignoring her being scolded by the Head Secretary, he looks over the information provided and smiles warmly.
“Ah! So, would you happen to be Lady Yuuma by chance?!” he questions, excited now. She’s one of the potential top recruits spoken of the most by the scouts. He never expected any of them to actually show up though. Today really is turning out to be quite the day! Let’s just hope this one isn’t as death hungry as Henry. One of those is quite enough! ]

After Tana had eaten Bella would leave, not wanting to be around any of the others who she honestly had little to no interest in. Probably slackers anyways. The amazon moved with ease back towards the kitchen level the skewers devoured and she herself wanting to check on the progress of the bear stew she had informed them to prepare earlier. The blissful smell of the meat stewing with lintels, carrots, celery and an array of spices she'd look amused as she entered the kitchen to see the men all clamoring here and there. Gold eyes shifted about as she would become more curious as to what they were doing now, "What are you doing?" she questioned hotly as the men scrambled away from a cutting board with extra meat there, "We- we uh...were wondering..." one got shoved forward and was talking to her, she leaned down to match his height better, "Wonder what?" she persisted her eyebrows furrowing in the lack of stones on all the men here. They'd indicate a deep dish pan that was heating over the stove, she'd glance into it and see oil heated there, she'd snicker, "Aye, you want fry." she'd nod before she would start to gather ingredients. Onion, garlic, ginger, eggs, potato starch were all grouped together next to the bear meat, she took a large knife and within moments peeled, diced and minced together the ginger, onion and garlic and rubbed it along the slab of extra bear meat the men had yet to cut, she'd place it in a sealed container and off to the side while she left the potato starch and eggs off to the side. From there she'd dig through her bag and pull out two red spices, a brown spice and a black spice as well as some dried cayenne chili peppers and as an after thought salt, and oregano.
She'd dig through their stores and soon come out holding some dried purple almost black berries that were hiding in a box, "Uh those are...?" a man questioned, "Juniper." she responded before she'd seek out a mortar and a pestle, when she couldn't find their's, which apparently they didn't have she'd drag out her own from her backpack and grind all the ingredients together inside the small bowl, this process took a little longer than preferred, but it couldn't be helped considering her mortar wasn't large enough to make enough of the spice. When the spice was done she would open up the container and rub it into the meat, but only half of the spice and leave the other half off to the side. She sighed as she would snap her fingers a few times, "Ladle some stew, just the broth out. Not a whole lot." she'd state before going back into their storage and pulling out some wheat flour and milk, she'd then throw the milk and ladled broth into a sauce pan and began to add the other half of the spice into the sauce that was starting to permeate the kitchen with it's spicy scent. When she felt it was finely mixed she'd let it simmer on low and cover it before walking over to her abandoned eggs and potato starch, she'd quickly crack and mix the eggs into a fine batter and then open the container with the meat and began to make thick slices from the last of it. With quick precision she would rub the meat with potato starch and then dip it into the egg mix and then batter it a second time before placing it into the hot oil, this process was quick as she double battered the slices of bear meat, when all of it was in the oil pot she would put an oil catcher over the top and take the top off her simmering sauce. Wheat flour was slowly whisked in and soon the sauce would become a thick golden color mixed with the oregano leaves that were still prevalent in the sauce, "Drain plates." she'd mutter as one of the chef's rushed off and brought back a plate with towels on it. She'd pull the oil catcher off and used tongs with the precision of one catching goldfish with a rice paper dipper and placed them all on the plate immaculately. She'd turn the oil off and then take a small sample dish and ladle some sauce into it before giving it a quick taste, spice burned her mouth along with the gentle sweetness of the juniper berry, she'd add a tablespoon of honey into the sauce as it cooled and then ladled some out to each of the chefs who would all have a small fixing of the bear meat.
While they tasted the dish she went on to check out the bear stew and saw that it would be done in a few hours, "Food all cooked. Clean up now." she stated clapping her hands and expecting to find the men already finished with their meals. Instead she turned to see them almost crying as they munched on the food, "Sissy boys. Move a**." she snapped. The men snapped to attention and stopped eating to follow her orders, she would sigh and shake her head, "I should write recipe's down, maybe they stop being surprised all the time." she muttered as she would step out, "I go out, be off island for little. Improve skills before I get back, or I break hands." she threatened giving them all a cold glare as she would step out of the kitchen and head for the lobby and most likely the docks right after. She had no idea where she was going, but this place was crowded, she hated crowded places and honestly hated people in general. Bella enjoyed feeding people, but that didn't mean she liked their company anymore than a badger did. People drove her nuts, all the time with their stupidity, no one ever bothered to listen to the wisdom of others, too stuck in themselves to ever remain even mildly open minded.
