Alba watched as everyone started to whisper and look over at them, probably to see if anything more was going to happen. Feeling echo start to shake from the attention had her worried. They had to go soon, especially if they want to find cloud. She seemed like the type to be hard to find.

Alba watched the older students start to make their way to them when she heard Kora say the funniest thing.Alba was laughing so hard she didnt feel the hand pulling her away from everyone. She assumed they were going to the garden.

Listening to kora explain her powers again and what they did to her at he old school made her mad. Who would do that to someone? Maybe that was why her mom was afraid of Alba going anywhere until now. As they reached the garden all alba could thing was how lucky she found friends on the first day, her first friends ever (her mom and cats didnt count).

Trent got a laugh out of Kora’s response to the approaching students. It was good that she was able to ease up the tenseness around them from what just happened. Trent followed the three girls, listening to Kora’s story as they approached the garden. As they slowed, Trent started to answer Kora’s question.

I was curious I guess. I saw her getting food and everyone was staring at her. So I walked up and introduced myself. She said hi and walked off like she didn’t want to be bothered. The next time I saw her, she just knocked that bully from before flat on the floor for spilling her lunch. She looked furious.” Trent paused, looking around the garden as they arrived. He was surprised at all of the different types of plants around, some he knew and some he hadn’t seen before. He remembered what they talked about in his class and continued.

I saw her later on in my Herbalism class. She snuck in through the back. I tried talking to her again and she opened up a little. That’s when we headed to the café, where you three were.” Trent was still walking around the garden, taking in all of the scenery. He was completely enamored by all of the flora surrounding him.

Echo felt a bit sad listening to Kora’s story. She couldn’t imagine having to go through all of that. Echo was fortunate that her life was pretty normal until a couple of years ago when her powers kicked in. She thought about how she would be able to get to know Kora and Alba more and it eased her mind a little.

Echo finally calmed down once they reached the garden. She gave Alba an apologetic bow, sorry that she grabbed her when she was shaking. She blushed a little, still getting used to interacting with people. She looked around, realizing that Cloud wasn’t there. She didn’t know where else Cloud would be, starting to worry a little. She gave a light tug on Alba's arm, and shrugged when Alba looked her way, indicating she didn't know where Cloud could be and she wasn't sure where else she would be.

cloud came into the garden looking dizzy. She saw the three girls first and started to come toward them. Her face was a bit ashen in color.
"You again" she teased softly
She faked a good smile until she saw Trent. He had blood on his shirt. Cloud looked angry as she approached him.
"There's blood" she said concerned "Did I hurt you?"
Now that she was closer she noticed the small bit on Alba as well. She backed away from them.
"what did I do?"
Cloud did not know what had happened at the cafe. She knew she had been at the cafe with Trent but that was all.

Kora was surprised by Trent's story as much as the scene outside the café, wondering more about Cloud's personality and history here, wondering if she really was stable or not. As the group wondered around the garden, Cloud arrived. Her words were gentle and concerned but Kora was still some what hesitant of her now, she needed answers.

"Trent was the only one inside before you left." Kora stated. "But I scared away the guy you were fighting with."

"I'm fine. We're all alright. The blood was from the other guy's hand." Trent said, giving a soft smile to Cloud. His attention was fully shifted to her when she arrived. He wanted to make sure she was alright.

"We just came to make sure you weren't hurt. Are you?" He looked at Cloud, she didn't seem to have any injuries on her. A little blood on her wing but he assumed it was from the guy form earlier."They showed me where you stayed. It's a really nice place." Trent continued, referencing the flowers.

"The other guy?" Cloud sounded confused and tried to remember.
She remembered the pain in her wing. You could almost see the wheels turning a bit in her brain.

"He pulled my wing. bad idea"

Cloud plucked a feather and then tossed it into the ground. It stuck into the dirt like a blade. She picked it up from the ground and then dropped it just above Trents hand. It floated around like a normal feather and landed softly.

"Defense" she admitted "Not always controlled."

She looked at the four of them and then around at her garden.
"You came to see if I was okay?" she asked puzzled "I am okay"
She shifted a bit awkwardly. No one usually concerned themselves with how she was feeling after she'd hurt someone.

"Want to see more of the garden?" she asked since Trent seemed to be enjoying himself "There is water too. A big pond"

"I'm pretty sure if I'm around, he wont bother you." Kora chuckled. As Cloud plucked a feather out and demonstrated it's ability her mouth formed an "O". "Well yea, isn't that normal to check on someone after a fight?" Kora asked innocently. "Is the pond deep enough to swim in?!" Kora asked as her eyes widened with excitement.

Trent nodded when Cloud asked of he wanted to see more of the garden. He smiled, happy that she was alright. He was a little surprised at her wing’s defense, everything making more sense as to how the bully’s hand got sliced open. He listened to Kora and laughed a little, realizing Cloud wasn’t used to this much attention. “Let’s go check it out. I’d like to see it.” He said, referring to Kora’s question about the pond.

"I hope what you say is true. I'd hate for him to choose you as a target too. Not normal for me. None of this is" she shrugged it off

Cloud turned to lead the way to the pond. They went down a winding path that was beautifully lined with flowers of all colors. There were flowers that were grouped together almost in a ball and surrounded by the dark green leaves of a bush. They walked passed roses of every color. They even passed beneath a few archways that were covered with vines that flowered white. Even more spectacular were some of the different types of trees. There was one that was thin as a stick and had bright red leaves.

When they reached the pond it was a bright blue and you could just barely see the other side.
"I cant swim so you'll have to find out how deep" she said

"I made him think he saw the devil so he thinks I'm a demon." Kiva giggled. "At least you can't be accused of being a witch!" She laughed harder before running and jumping into the pond, her back pack, shirt and shoes fell behind her. It was quite shallow where they all stood but was a good depth, maybe six feet, in the center. "Anyone else wanna cool off?"

Trent walked with everyone along the path, following Cloud to the pond. Trent lagged behind, constantly stopping to gaze at the different flora lining the path. Flowers of all types, the vast majority he had never seen before covering a myriad of colors, welcomed everyone towards what was more of a good-sized lake than a pond. The water changed warm colors, reflecting the yellows and oranges of the setting sun. Trent was amazed that such a place was tucked away on the campus. Staring at the setting sun brought Trent back to reality after a few moments. He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. It was getting late, almost time for the combat class to start. He looked over at Cloud. “I’ve gotta get going. I have class. I’m glad you’re alright, and I promise to come visit. We’ll have to talk more about class.” He said with a smile, looking back at the water. He gave a slight nod to everyone and walked off, occasionally stopping to look at the flowers again.

Echo sat at the edge of the lake, kicking her feet in the water. She couldn’t swim very well and was a little afraid of getting completely wet. She watched as Kora swam and looked over at Cloud and Alba nearby. Cloud seemed like she was going to be alright, sensing that she was enjoying their company. Sitting here and relaxing was very calming for Echo, she could tell that this was a place she could feel at peace. She planned on coming often to see Cloud, hoping that Alba and Kora would join.

Trent arrived at class as the sun finished setting. They met inside a gym, the inside about the size of a basketball court. The floor was covered with exercise mats, the kind people used for yoga. It was a small class of about 12 people. Jade was already there amongst the students towards the middle of the room. She sighed, giving Trent a light punch on the arm.

Thought you wouldn’t show.” She smiled. Her eyes were glowing a deep yellow, the stick of a sucker hanging out of her mouth. They were more like an addiction to her than a treat. Trent often forgot what her normal eye color was.

I figured you’d hunt me down if I didn’t. Your eyes, haven’t seen that color before. Lemon?” Trent replied, still looking around the gym. All of the equipment had been moved off to the side, making for a decent sparing area.

Yeah. Thought it was going to be butterscotch.” Jade said, turning her attention to the teacher. Class was starting. A tall woman suddenly stood in the middle of the students. She didn’t look much older than the rest of the class, Trent guess max 30 years old. Her hair was a fiery red, tied back in a long ponytail.

Good evening. You all can call me Shelly. I will be heading this combat class. Tonight’s session will be short, more of a demonstration. The objective of this course is to hone your hand to hand skills. No powers will be used.” There was an audible groan from a couple of the students. Jade’s gaze had not moved from the teacher.

This isn’t a class about grades. This is purely an elective class. More will come. Some of you will leave. I just want to make my objective clear before any of you get your hopes up on this being some sort of comic book hero in training class. That isn’t what I’m here for.” A few more mumbles were heard around the small group. “That being said, thank you for meeting tonight. Next meet will be in two days. Be prepared to fight on that day.” Shelly ended the class and walked off. The students talked among themselves for a moment before all leaving.

That was kind of lame. Really wanted to fight tonight.” Jade replied, disappointed. She shrugged and walked out the door with Trent.

There’s always next class. At least it gives everyone time to prepare. Maybe more people will show up.” Trent said, relieved he didn’t have to fight. More relieved that it was completely optional. He thought about opting out and not showing up anymore. Jade shot him a glare as if she were reading his mind. Her gaze sent a chill down Trent’s spine.

You have blood on you. What happened?” She asked bluntly.

Not mine. Long story.

Was it Cloud?” Another blunt question.

Just an accident that happened. I was too close to someone.

You should stay away from her. People seem to get hurt when she’s around.

I’ll be fine. Trust me.” Trent replied as if he were being scolded by a parent.

Jade gave another glare, then turning her attention forward as they walked. They talked about their classes before finally reaching their dorms, saying goodnight and heading their separate ways for the night.

Alba watched everyone around the pond, smiling fondly at them. She marveled at her day she had, She was so excited to tell her mom. She made friends! Her om would be so happy. Looking at the setting sun she wondered if she should go home. Her mom must be worried. Alba Pulled out her phone and sent a text to her mom if she can stay out with her friends. Getting a confirmation she put her phone away and walked over to Echo. Sitting down next to the girl she got comfy doing her best not to touch the water. She hated deep areas of water.
"So, what a day huh?" She said absentmindedly, knowing she wouldnt get a vocal response but watching Echo to see if she agreed.

Kora dried off and headed over to where Echo and Alba sat. She spotted Cloud standing around awkwardly. "I wonder if she lives here." She whispered to the others - which reminded her: "Do you guys know if anyone needs a roommate in the dorms?" Her face turned bright red as she remembered she had no place to go.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 23, 2018 3:58 pm

Echo nodded at Alba's comment and smiled, removing herself from near the water and closer to Alba. She looked off at the sun setting in the distance. It was almost completely gone, peaking over the lake and reflecting warm colors off of the water. She looked over at Alba and saw Kora drying off and approaching. Echo looked over at Cloud after hearing Kora's question and nodded in agreement. It seemed that Cloud was always here, like it was her home. She opened her mouth, but quickly closed it again. She sometimes forgot that she couldn't talk Alba and Kora like she wanted. She couldn't talk to anyone anymore.

Echo looked down at the ground when she heard Kora's other question about a roommate. She looked up at Kora and saw her face was red. She tugged on Kora's sleeve and pointed at herself. Echo still didn't have a roommate. She was smiling at the thought of her moving in, hoping that Kora would accept being her roommate and Alba could come visit often.

Cloud watched Kora swim while standing with only her feet in the water. Echo and Alba were nearby on the shore too. She was quiet but enjoyed having them near. As the sun began to set she turned to her guests.
"So shall I guide you back out?" she asked
Without waiting for an answer she started heading back to the entrance. Clouds eyes were just a bit brighter as they walked together.
"See you again maybe" Cloud said as they reached the entrance
