Day # 64 Theme: Monochrome Red, Phoenix, Posting for the Flame God   Hi, um, hey there, checkeredbow here. Kinda a strange post I'm making right now. I mean, normally, I'm posting for myself, you know? I think about what I want to "say," type it up, maybe stylize it with some BCC, then hit the preview button to make sure everything looks nice (or, because the preview doesn't really represent reality, just squished together), then hit submit. Well, this time it's a little different.
How so?
There's a flaming ball of fire sitting on my shoulder and whispering into my ear. A nice bird calling itself the Flame God wants to speak to you all, but doesn't have an account and don't want to bother making one because its lazy it's a waste to make a new account just for one post!
Anyways, enough of my rambling! Without further ado... The Flame God!
"Hey there, just your friendly Flame God dropping by for a visit. How are you all doing today? I hope you've all been getting a good night's sleep and staying warm. I've noticed that its been dreadfully cold outside recently. It's bad enough that I have a hard time maintaining shape," the Fire God's flames wavers slightly, like a chill ran down its spine.
Wait, what about California?
"What about it?" the fire flares up slightly so I shrink away from it, "I'm talking kiddo, just one post. Don't interrupt."
Okay.
"So it's been really cold outside :c and wait, where was I going with this?"
The God looks at me and I shrug. I'm just here typing up what you're saying!!
"Oh, well. It's about global warming! And how it's partially to blame for all the cold weather in Northeast United States. Now is not the time to think that global warming has disappeared. Keep that in mind each time you need to throw away a recyclable, use the car, or turn on the lights.
"I might be a ball of flame, but even I don't like global warming, okay? I just want to be hot for the summer.
"Here's a quick list of things you can do to limit your effect on global warming. It's a long battle, but it's gotta start somewhere."
Ah. It's gone. Perhaps I can just click back--
"And remember to talk to people some time! Go outside, enjoy some warm sunshine and repeat a list of positive things about yourself! Mental health is also very important!"

Day # 65 Theme: Man's Best Friend, Really Secret Police  Comments: i guess they're not really that secret ninja ocs from an old webcomic of mine that i never got to finish tab tab shhh~ one day it will bethe main character ends up in the world of the dead by mistake and winds up following/joining a member of the police/military force of that world (secret police) to solve cases. his dog also turns out to be a liiiiiitle more dead than he first realized (really secret police). he doesn't get a uniform like that though xD

Day # 72 Theme: Amazon, Breaking the Rules  Comments: TODAY i have drawn an image that just barely fits any of the themes! therefore i am BREAKING THE RULES hahahahahaa~ but then when i break the rules, it fits the theme so i'm breaking another rule! because i am applying a theme that doesn't fit! or does it? ... i think i've worked myself into a paradox...

Day # 73 Theme: Make a simple gif animation, Unlikely hero  Comments: one of the heroines of the game i'm making, info found here o3o~ i guess my plan here was to have her blink + hair movement + saying "let's go," but i screwed up on... everything? xD for some reason i confused my own plan to say "let's go" with "got it" (???), then i decided she should blink faster than her hair moves. -v-; thankfully, these are pretty easy fixes given i'm so early in the game. i'm submitting this as my first test o3o first test = finished, partial failure. idk if i'll revisit this during the event, since the full thing is a much larger picture, with background and everything. if i'm lucky, i'll plan to finish a lineart for the event. edit;; i'm considering this a finished piece for this event cause gonk hair is really hard to animate! and how do mouths work lol this is why i wanted to be a mangaka, not an animator. how many frames do you need to make things look smooth...??? hair: 6 frames eyes: 9 frames mouth: 6 frames && when i say frames, i mean different picture. i reused some frames, like for when the hair sways down then up and when the eyes open and close. i also didn't end up drawing a natural hair fall when i did this final test so i picked the least floaty one xD;  more partial failures under the spoiler. the gifs load a lot faster once uploaded... idk if it's just my computer tho :< hopefully it doesn't go berserk on everyone else's screens.
