Chapter 9: Grave Expectations

As people moved forward, many began to step back. They wanted to leave, they wanted to go home and share what they saw and find answers. It was clear the Academy was at a loss, they were asking foreigners for answers, and so some even walked out without listening to what they had to say. They were exhausted and scared and frustrated with the unknown.It was clear the Academy leaders were as well as they whispered to one another. Ardah spoke up slowly after they all nodded as if determined.
"We will be seeking additional information from the mainlanders, and will report back. There will be a envoy sent from the Sector of Knowledge. In the meantime, I will work to ensure there are increased patrols and Safety members available to escort anyone alone. If you need to travel, come find someone in the sector. This is a temporary solution we hope to resolve with more information..."
Ardah trailed off, uncomfortable, before the Academy leaders behind him began to leave. It was clear they had much to consider and discuss, and it was better meant for behind closed doors. With one last look at the crowd, he nodded once before sharply turning and following his colleges back into the Academy of Steam.

||. Members of the Sector of Safety are constantly in the area and escorting those who need extra protection.
||. An Envoy will be traveling across the sea to find out more information from other Settlements. They have not yet realized how wide spread it is, but eventually rumors will begin to spread.
||. Feel free to base rumors off of the information in the Official NPC thread. Considered this word of mouth and rumors from across the sea, feel free to have your character exaggerate the info beyond what's listed. Only Alkidikes know the truth, and they have not yet provided information to earthlings.
