Coco was still with Kayla Sue and still laying on the ground imagining what it would be like to be a torti and live as a torti lived. Coco got up a little and proceeded to crawl on the ground pretending she was a torti copying the things she watched the other torti doing. Coco giggled softly she thought it was fun and continued to do it for a while as she observed the torti and tried to get into their head space. She looked forward to getting back to a place where she could paint so she could paint all the things she had seen. It occurred to her then she needed to take pictures to send to Kingston and Eilwen.

Odessa was still staring at her cute little tortie, doing her best to try to figure out a name when she realized that more torties were coming around, picking more people to go home with. This made her extremely excited and she could hardly keep it in. Her eyes peered out at the land mass, wondering what other torties might come about given more time.

Cass saw a tortie dart behind another rock. This one seemed a bit shyer than some of the others they had seen so far. Cass pulled out some fruit, holding it out for the smaller creature, hoping it would come closer.

Aurora pulled out her canteen and took a drink, she was thirsty and a little tired, though she loved this trip. She had never seen familiars like these before and was so grateful for this chance staying in touch with the Academy was the best choice Aurora had ever made. Even when it ended her with scraps or a broken ankle. Still, she had meet wills of the wisps that she had never seen before and met the kumiho before anyone else. Even if the experience was heartbreaking at times she wouldn't have passed up the chance even if someone had told her what would happen before she left on the bus. Same went for this trip, this chance to see the torti meant so much to Aurora.

Aedus watched his friend as they attempted to feed the torti he took some food and tried to offer them a different type of food to see if he could figure out what the torti would like he found a desert fruit in a basket nearby the torti area he picked it up. Then he sat back down in the sand and held the fruit out to a yellow torti to see if the familiar would take the food from him. He smiled as he saw a baby torti out of the corner of his eye sniffing at him and what he had in his hand.

"Ooooh, I wonder just how trainable they are. Some of my familiars take to training... uh... better then others." He laughed a little. "But you're right. Not many people have only one familiar." He thought about his familiars, and how he had gotten 5 or 6 rather quickly. "Well, let's walk around a little more. No need to stand right here at the entrance." He looked at Leto and smiled before walking further into the conservation area. Wow, there really were torti everywhere. "Ah, I wish they didn't run away so fast. Maybe we should find a place to sit to let them get used to us being here?"

Odessa's eyes did still flicker toward the place the torties had been coming from, just making sure that if any more of them came that she wouldn't outright miss them. She smiled though, sitting down with her legs crossed as the little turtle who came toward her earlier was more on her level. She gently pulled some food out of her pack and offered it to the creature to eat.

Cass was really starting to feel stupid. He had been holding out his hand for longer than he had wanted to and it was starting to cramp up. Maybe none of the torties really wanted to come eat it directly from him, so he sat the fruit down a foot or two away from his position and backed up, hoping the tortie would take the hint.
