Username: Variable Nonsense Dice Roll: 5, kiss the frog Kin name: Water-in-the-Fire Response: Kissing a frog? Well, that was something he'd never done for certain, Steam thought, and probably not something he'd ever do again. Before dedicating to such a task, however, the acha wandered around a bit, eyeballing the frogs and even a few toads hanging about the booth. He supposed there was nothing really wrong with the critters, though he wasn't sure why he would want to kiss one. Maybe it was just to give the bright doe a giggle? It would be pretty funny to watch other kin do the same, he thought. In the end he decided to humor her, giving the indicated frog a nice smooch on the back. It made him laugh, as the texture was rather odd, but he did get a nice gift in exchange for playing along. Awesome!

Username: GrnGriff Dice Roll: 4 - kissed the frog (+1 Token) Kin name: The Way Home Response: She couldn't say she'd ever kissed a frog before, but The Way Home was willing to try anything once. Almost anything, at least, and frog kissing didn't seem like it would be too bad, did it? Stepping up to one not-so-little frog, Home leaned in close for a good look. They didn't really look kissable, did they? She certainly wasn’t sure they did. Oh well. There was really only one thing to do about this. Actually give it a try and kiss it. Home licked her lips once, then twice, trying to work up a good amount of spit, just in case. In case of what she didn’t know, but one had to be ready. The doe took one deep breath, then leaned in give the frog the kiss of its life. She wasn’t going to let anyone call her a slacker! One great big lick, right on the frog’s froggy lips. Home kissed it like she meant it. “Eww,” she said, stepping back and licking her lips again. It wasn’t as bad as she’d imagined, in some ways, but worse in others. Who would have guessed frogs tasted like… well. She imagined they tasted like frogs, but she’d had no idea what frog tasted like. Until now. “Eww.”

Username: Poe-tae-toee Dice Roll: 3 (Goddamn toad kisser xD) Kin name: Obscure Truth Response: Obscure Truth decided to try this kissing game again. Last time she was left unsure. This time she still wasn't sure, but was feeling better about it. She looked around and saw the pretty orange kin standing there smiling. "Okay, its time to do this." she said. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and pushed her muzzle out. She was met with a slightly bumpy, slightly cold and kinda gross texture. Confused she pulled back and looked around except for what was infront of her. She decided to try again. She took another deep breath, closed her eyes, and pushed her muzzle back out. Again she was met with the same texture. She kissed it. Yuck. She quickly opened her eyes and grimaced when she seen what she kissed. Staring back at her was not a frog....but a toad. An ugly one at that. "Oh god. Did I just kiss that?" she questioned. All she knew was she was grossed out and that the booth owner was lecturing her about kissing the toad. Like she had a choice.

Username: LOLTERGEIST Dice Roll: 9 Kin name: Luminous Response: Luminous shuffled nervously as she waited in line for her turn at the booth. She wanted tokens, sure, but did she want them so desperately that she was willing to sacrifice her first kiss? She swallowed hard as the kin in front of her finished up - she didn't even watch the kiss so she wasn't sure what to expect. Finally, it was her turn and she stepped forward, eyes already closed. "Uh.. h-here goes." She leaned in slowly and kissed. It wasn't so bad. She didn't know why she was so worried. She opened her eyes, slowly, one at a time. That was not Gecko. She felt her face flush and turned and ran for the hills. Does it count as your first kiss if it was with a Caiman?

Username: thyPOPE Dice Roll: 7, kiss Frog Kin name: Wild Green Stones Response: Wild Green Stones was actually kind of hoping to score another kiss with the doe, but it looked like she was onto him. Watching her carefully, he looked down at the selection of smoochables.
"It's hard to pick," he said. A large frog, or a small one? Did the color matter? Would any of them give him more points with her? Or, er, tokens? To him they were all essentially small blobs anyway. He tossed his mane back and pressed in to kiss one at random after a few seconds of consideration.
It was slimy, but pleasant, although it left him feeling a little...iffy? Woozy. Not..,necessarily in a bad way, but it wasn't what he'd expected. "Did you spike them?" he said to the doe, looking up at her only for her to make a shriek of disapproval. Had he done it wrong again? Ah, no, but he wasn't supposed to tell anyone about this. Sure, he'd take the bribe. "I'll be back for more if you treat me like this every time," he joked, stumbling off.

Username: Variable Nonsense Dice Roll: 4 / passionate frog kiss Kin name: Bitterly Sweet Response: Who would want to kiss a frog? Sweet eyed the area for a while, uncertain if he wanted to actually participate in the weird 'game.' What if he got something gross from the frog? What if it bit him? What if he bit it? Yet as he passed back and forth several times, he found himself unable to resist; not because of the frogs, but because of the unusual doe running the thing. Maybe if he played, she'd be impressed with him? He finally decided to approach, and it was with a deep breath that he dove into his frog kiss with great enthusiasm. Maybe ... a little too much enthusiasm, in fact. Once he looked at Gecko afterward, she seemed a little... disturbed. Had he overdone it...?

Username: thyPOPE Dice Roll: 7, kiss Frog Kin name: Kept Response: Did other kin really kiss frogs regularly?, Kept wondered. Well, perhaps they were all attracted by the bribe of these tokens. He approached the booth with a shy nod at the doe running it and took a while to actually kiss anything - or pretend to want to kiss anything. He was too busy watching other kin come kiss these...frogs. Some of them were very enthusiastic, he thought, watching a green buck kiss a frog with passion. What sort of life had led him to this moment?
Well, on Kept's part, he was just curious. And he felt more and more awkward the longer he stood there without any intent to kiss anything - that orange doe kept glancing at him with a friendly smile, too. So he stepped forward and pressed his lips to the head of a frog for as long as he was willing. Which was...several counts, since it wasn't that unpleasant. He usually thought of frogs as potential meals, though.
A few moments later, though, all he could feel was a headache. He let out a little moan and attracted the attention of Gecko - who was now offering him two tokens? With some conditions?
Well, he didn't really care, and he didn't need to talk to nod, so he did that, and walked away unsteadily to find somewhere to lie down.

(+1 Token) Kin name: Breath Gives Life Response: Breath is fascinated by this booth and walks right up. She stares at Gecko for a minute or two, then greets her right before planting a kiss on... a turtle? Huh, that popped up out of nowhere, she'd been aiming for a frog! Breath looks around in embarrassment as Gecko starts laughing and pointing her out to the other kin in the area. Her embarrassment grows larger and larger as Gecko repeatly tells kin what happened. She looks around in panic and flees the area, running off towards another booth. How did that even happen? Her luck is abysmal, it seems. Breath very much hopes that if she try's again tomorrow she will at least make very sure of her aim.

Crushed made a horrible, horrible mistake. The mistake of taking a caiman's nose for a lump of frog! She was going to play along, but when that wide mouth yawned at her - she bolted off as quick as lightning, leaving the doe and her strange booth behind!

The last time, it had not gone over very well, and had taken Traveler of Stars quite some time to wash the slimy, pungent taste out of his mouth. Not to mention the doe's long lecture of why toads were the worst, but she'd meant well, he thought. Maybe. It wasn't toads this time, but frogs. Traveler, in an attempt to make up for his poor choices last time, tried to get more into it, and then immediately regretted this choice, because they tasted like the toads except with more slime. He spent the next several moments trying to get that taste out of his mouth as well. Quote: 4. Please do not passionately kiss the frogs. Gecko is... disturbed by your enthusiasm, but still. You kissed it! (+1 Token)

(+1 Token) Kin name: Jester Response: Jester decides to go in for another shot, and manages to actually smooch a frog. Itch had been watching him the entire time with Sunkissed on his back and snickered hard after the last two failed attempts, and the hilarious awkwardness. But hot diggity damn, he actually did it. It took Itch a while to get used to this last year too, in fact he remembered failing quite a bit. “There see, that wasn’t so hard, right?” “Not now, not after some practice,” Jester giggles, and then thanks Gecko for the token. “At least I didn’t completely embarrass myself in front of a lady again.” “You get used to it,” Itch giggles, gesturing to the frog. “I got him here last year. I missed so many times, it was pretty sad, actually.” “I guess for once I’m smarter than you, that I caught on faster,” he said, proudly puffing his chest and then squeaking in delight at the adorable frog he smooched.

Username: thyPOPE Dice Roll: 2, kiss a frog on the lips Kin name: Forced Awake Response: "Is there any difference?" asked Forced Awake, furrowing his brows. He didn't even kiss kin very much - let alone animals. Which one looked like it'd feel the weirdest in - er, on, on - his mouth. There was a brown and gold one that was relatively dry. And, unlike many of the others, it was neither ribbiting nor idly eating.
He'd seen a few other kin bend down and kiss it on the head - but, well, kin didn't kiss each other on the forehead, right? So it had to be on the mouth. He leaned in and smooched the frog he'd picked, holding his lips there for a second. Had Gecko seen that? He hoped so: he wasn't sure he wanted to do it again. "Thanks for the token," he called, before retreating to watch other kin come by. This could at least be amusing - it was a good thing there was no real way to paint an image of himself kissing a frog. His siblings (and his mother, maybe) would never have let him live it down.
...although, hah. This actually sounded like something his father would be up for. Maybe it was time to call in reinforcements.

Now Traveler was running away fast because why.Quote: 9. You smooch GeckOH MOTHERFATHER THAT'S NOT GECKO, WHAT IS A CAIMAN DOING AT THE BOOTH!?! WHY WOULD YOU SMOOCH A CAIMAN? His hiccups had mostly resolved by now, to the point where he was actually kind of willing to do this - although, really, this seemed like something his loving sisters would do, rather than himself. But he was definitely going to beat his sisters, so he wasn't going to back down from this.
It took him a few minutes to select a target: it was lumpier and larger than the others, but also quite decidedly dry. The kiss was also dry. That was that, right? He looked up at Gecko expectantly...only to be met with anger, apparently.
Because...he'd kissed a toad, and toads were less cute than frogs, for some reason? Or something? Actually, she had a very convoluted argument about it. We Break wasn't very interested in listening to it, but she hadn't given him a token yet, so he stayed, and apparently it paid off. "Thanks," he said sourly. "I'll keep that in mind next time."
He wasn't sure if he'd ever be back.

Username: Variable Nonsense Dice Roll: 3 Kin name: Water-in-the-Fire / Steam Response: Steam thought he might try kissing a frog; did he kiss one the other day? Honestly, he couldn't remember, but he did remember the particular booth - complete with its unusual caretaker and her love of frogs, so maybe he did. Or maybe he only considered it. In truth, his memory was terrible, and he wasn't above admitting that (though he might forget that he had, and deny it later - it all depended, really).
At any rate, Steam marched right up to the booth and quite confidently smooched the heck out of a frog. The only problem? It wasn't a frog; no, it wasn't a frog at all, as he learned shortly after, getting a massive earful of exactly how wrong it was to kiss a toad - which, apparently, wasn't a frog.
He didn't know that. In reality he was actually kind of interested, but Gecko's tone frightened him enough that he didn't say anything. He didn't know toads were so awful!
