Of course he rebuffed it; but that was why Chel had said she hoped to be there when he did realize it. He hadn't gotten it yet, but maybe someday ...

Chel waved from behind him and watched him for a bit just to make sure he wasn't taken out by a mossman (that had been a thing that had actually happened to her now) and then returned to the cave to contemplate things further because what the ******** she hadn't expected any of that.
