Another night, another... something. The phrase remained unfinished in Ephias' thinkpan. He rubbed at his eyes. His thoughts were not entirely together after yet another sleepless day. Not that they were incoherent or illogical—he had not yet descended that far into insomnia—but they were marked by... no small amount of apathy. While thoughts that piqued his interest received his full attention, his more pedestrian mental tangents, such as his inner monologues, went left unresolved.

Eyes closed and dreaming of sleep, Ephias listened to the mindless drone of the radio, wishing that he had something more to do. Half the husktop stations were down for maintenance and the others were already in use.

Bracks had replaced his usual pair of trollveralls with the slick jumpsuit selected for him by the highbloods. It had arrived in a plastic bag he had torn into shreds, very reminiscent of the way a swampbeast might tear at the belly of their hard-won prey. He'd plucked the innards of the bag out like trophies and had made quick work of slipping into the apparel. He'd kept, of course, his boots. The tops of the socks just barely peaked over the high, yellow edges. The sleeves of his jumpsuit were tied around his waist like a belt, and his hemotyped undershirt stood stark against his chest. He wore it proudly, but he figured he'd be taking some muck from the highbloods about it, unless the blue of his crown confused them. The legs of his suit were currently rolled up carefully to his knees- in case he needed to run fast or something.

By the time the yellowblood had found something to do, he was raring to go. He was most interested in using the Space Race as a chance to improve himself, and shovin' whatever the muck was blocking his team's chance for victory out of the way sounded as good as any. By the time he was done, his muscles ached, but it was worth it. He'd found something to bring back to Akko.

"Mmhm. Maybe they'll remember this later." Nucleo smiled at his friend as they worked to pass out coffee and clean up stray cups. He wasn't used to such fancy meetings but it was exciting to see what trolls of this caliber did. He got the feeling he was barely understanding the things they talked about but it was still interesting nonetheless. He'd been unsure about this experience and thought it'd be full of stress from trying to find clues to Panili's vision but... the little things like this were almost fun! It was a nice surprise.

"Aw, Amonee!" The greenblood laughed as the jadeblood dropped a bunch of napkins. What a klutz! Or wait, he was gathering them up a little oddly. Could it be-? Excited, he nodded that they'd talk about it later and resumed being the leading force behind the coffee handout station.

"Good thinking." Nucleo nodded and accompanied Amonee to help with some manual labor. The jadeblood wasn't extremely weak or anything but Nucleo didn't want him to try and lift heavy things alone. Amonee was notoriously bad at sports and coordination. He needed to make sure the boy didn't manage to somehow drop a metal beam on himself!

"Oh, here! Use my shirt!" Nucleo whipped off the blue overshirt he usually wore. He'd opted to wear the jumpsuit as pants and tie the arms around his waist earlier. Now clad in just his white undershirt, he felt a little exposed but it was worth it to protect Amonee's makeup! That stuff was expensive!

"I hope so. It's frustrating to not know, isn't it?" Nucleo smiled sheepishly. He didn't think anything bad had happened yet, it seemed too early for that. But then again, you couldn't expect tragedy to follow a strict schedule. Rubbing his neck, the greenblood did his best to push the unpleasant possibilities from his mind.

"At least we've made some good progress on our end." The barista said, hoping to boost his partner's morale. It really helped to have someone else here with him. Sure he could always summon a clone but it wasn't the same.

Though maybe that wasn't a bad idea. His clones would be able to help spread out and look for more clues as long as they were careful. He didn't want to alert any of the higher ups about his powers. He didn't think they'd do anything to him but it seemed best to not draw any attention to himself while investigating.

"I guess I'd better do my part and make some transfers." Nucleo realized and snagged a transfer form. He didn't know if he should really be helping to build the monstrous towers but it would be weird for him to not pretend to be doing the work. He was keenly aware that at anytime he could be thrown out if someone suspected him. Panili's cause was too important to jeopardize and so he went on his way, acting the dutiful servant while keeping an eye out.

"Please send that to Facility 1." Clicking his pen closed, the greenblood waved to the delivery drone. Now it was time to get back to work!

Once he's unloaded a few buggies, he noticed a malfunctioning maintenance drone not too far from his person. The child frowned at it, then moved to corral it before it could do any damage to the dome. He pushed it, slowly, to the other side of the base where it could be repaired by the mechanics that had set up base there. By the time he'd completed his task, he was drenched in sweat. He decided that now was a good time to visit one of Akko's safehouses. If he was lucky, maybe he'd find a juice box on his way. If not, though, surely the rebel leader would have some prepared!
