He smiled a bit to himself and tucked his hand into a pocket. "I suppose I don't have much taste for parties that include bloodshed," The silvering brunette watched the other eat a moment, wondering why it had to be other's food very suddenly. "Why are we here? Why suddenly decide to change your precious matters of court?"

With flourish, he bows, and offers it out for the Eldritch Gentleman. "Dessert is served." To his husband, he says, "I saw Wil and Nasir. They're doing fine."

Autumn Smith 25/25, interrupting your quiet party
Dress ripped, Autumn rounded the corner and bolted into the Scarlet foyer, hoping the others had the common sense to run. She wasn't much on the whole video games front, but even she could tell when some game over s**t was about to go down. Heels clicking, she retreated to a far corner of the room, chest heaving as she tried to calm her nerves.
Wasn't every day you roundhouse kicked a b***h in heels. That had been pretty boss, though.
Inhale, exhale. The nightmares were finally gone from her vision, and Autumn sighed. Now she just needed Eve to get here, to apologize.

The Eldritch Gentleman | 25/25 | Crossing the streams "T̢o ̸be ̢a͢b҉le ̡t̸ơ ̀el͡o̡pe ͘ąccid̀ental̕ly̴ i͠s a ͜p̷r͏iv̛il̨eg͜e͘ ̢i̧n and o̶f͟ ̡i̶t͞se̢l̀f," replies the gentleman coolly. It does not seem to be a judgment on Algernon's behalf, simply an observation - or perhaps a sticking point. He makes no move to answer the next question - his gaze moves across the room, following Jeremiah's return. "Y̡oųr ̶law̷f͡ųl̶l̛y̕-w̴ed̸d͏e͏d ͜husb̛and," he observes. "I ͞belie͠v̛e he aske͝d m̴e͟ ҉about t͟h̀e͝ ̧cage̴.͠.͏.̴" The gentleman accepts the plate, looking it over with hunger in his eyes. Before he takes a bite of anything, he fixes his gaze on Jeremiah. " T̨he̡ c͜a͢g҉e͘ is y͟òur͠ pro̴te̸cti̵o͡n. ̨I̛t͜ ͝is ̀al̨so҉ ̨t͝he͡ ̶Enem͠y's͏," he says. " The ͜ca̵g͝e̴ ̕i̸s t̸he E̶ne͏m͡y'͡s҉ ̛trap.͢ ̕I̵t is al͞so y͢ours.͟ Now̸, y͟o͝u͡ ̴te̵ll̴ me - ͞why w͡o҉uld̨ ͏Adoel͞l̸e̵ ͏w҉a̛nt ͢à ţh͞ing ̡like͞ ̶tha̷t̵ d͠estr͠oyed?̀" He lets the question hang in the air and turns momentarily away from the men, focus turning to the young woman who's just entered. "Seems we've ͝m̶issed some̢ e͝xcíte̴m̸ent̴," remarks the gentleman. "M̶i͟dņi҉ght ̨dra͏w͏s ͢cl̨óser͢."

Shun Kuroda 20/25 | Coming on in
Not long after Autumn's arrival, Shun appeared in the scarlet foyer, ducking on into the room. The left side of his jaw sported a growing bruise, and remnants of blood could be seen by his lip there as well. He appeared to be relatively frazzled in general.
Upon his entry, he paused as he saw who was all in here. Jeremiah was a relieving sight, but Sunny was... a little less so to him.
There was also someone he didn't recognize, along with Alg and Autumn, who apparently had the same idea to take refuge here.
"I would avoid going into the Ivory Hall for a little while," he breathed out.

jeremiah mercer || 27/27 || leaving for a moment or two "Apparently," Jeremiah replied to the comment about them missing excitement. "If you'll excuse us, my lawfully wedded husband and I need to discuss a few things." Which meant that Algie, with a short nod to the others that had just appeared, was tugged out of the room for just a few moments. "I'll keep that in mind." There was a short nod to Shun. "We'll talk in a few moments, Kuroda."

Connor - 25/25 - Chillin out drinkin more wine He never really strayed too far from the scarlet foyer for long. What the cats had said about it being a safe place had really stuck with him, and so, any adventures beyond the room were often short lived, a little n** out to mingle, check on his friends, make sure Jack was still...well, being Jack, run a couple of errands, and then back in again for a quiet drink of wine by the fountain, which was exactly what he'd been doing this entire time s**t was going down elsewhere. So, when Shun stumbled in, looking a bit worse for wear, and with some advice, Connor lifted his eyebrows, and downed his drink. "Find another hamster?" He asked, his tone dry, as he began to fill his glass again.

Chel | 15/25 | Hello Friends I'm Here
There was a whiplash sensation to arriving in the red room; quiet, peaceful. Sunny was there, as was the creepy gentleman (who still gave her the creeps) and a decided lack of crazy ladies casting crazy magic and making them see horrible htings.
"Hey. Don't leave so fast." She reached a hand to try the trick one more time and felt the same ebb and flow of what she could only assume was magic.
After the attempt Chel looked slightly more tired than before and said, "Alright, now you can ditch."
She glanced around the room a bit, giving a nod to Connor when they met eyes. Once she found what she was looking for she gave Jack's arm a pat and left to a squishy lounge couch that she threw herself onto. She still kept seeing the man (your father) in the other room, even when she tried to close her eyes to ignore it. Worse yet that it was followed by the curl of Spinel's lips, the electric taste of copper and the dissatisfaction of a job completely failed.

Finn Derouen | 25/25 | getting his bearings / hi sunny I guessFinn stumbled into the foyer, wide-eyed and very much confused and horrified by the scene he'd just emerged from. Things out here, however, seemed calm. Save for a steady trickle of refugees from the hall, the chaos hadn't spread. Spotting Sunny, Finn made his way over to her, doing his best to get his breathing under control as he crossed the room. It would be undignified to fall at her feet and pant like a dog, and she'd definitely give him an earful about it. "Hey," he said, collapsing into a seat beside her. "Have you, uh, been here all night?"

Chris had been, for all intents and purposes, simply passing through the Ivory Hall when that chaotic mess had happened. He hadn't an idea of the details, but he had seen people fleeing and Melany looking less than pleased and so Chris had just followed the crowd.
So now, standing in this red room, he simply had absolutely no clue what the ******** to do next.
He looked around as the group dispersed and then finally found a chair to throw himself into. He took a moment to breath and then -
"So, what exactly just happened?"
anyone open to yell at him!

Sunny Shore: 25/25, hanging out, eating steak Sunny shoves another forkful of chocolate-dusted steak in her mouth, eyeballing the disheveled crew piling in before her. "Yeah," she says, swallowing her mouthful. "You guys grabbed hold of the idiot stick with both hands and wouldn't let go is what happened." Whatever that means, she's not explaining. She twirls pasta inexpertly around her fork and eats that, too.

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Grump The rest of the pain had dispersed as Chel somehow managed to heal him the rest of the way. He grunted lowly as he went on to lean against the wall of the room. To Jeremiah, he just gave a curt nod before both Mercers stepped out for a bit. His gaze fell upon Sunny, as she commented on the matter. He wasn't sure if that was just an educated guess based on the way they came in, or if she knew what had transpired. It didn't matter that much. Running a hand through his hair, he paused as he felt two hard lumps on the top of his head. Furrowing his brow, he reached up to feel a small set of... horns? "The ********> he uttered to himself, shaking his head as he addressed Chris and Connor, "Long story short: Fight broke out over the Spinel lady's methods of punishment. And those doppelgangers are a force to be reckoned with."

As a fox Eve could move more quickly and easily through the throngs of people and Otherbeings at the party, which she was definitely grateful for. She was also much less noticeable, at least by humanoids... something she would have to keep in mind for later. Eventually she padded her way inside the foyer to settle by the wine fountain, opting to remain a fox and eavesdrop for now.

Chester Poole: 25/25, back and bystanding
He hadn't gone far, breaking off to do some favors for the strange people and creatures around here, but now Chester was back and eavesdropping as well, though much less effectively than the fox. He had acquired a drink, despite his disdain for drinking otherdrinks earlier, and he had absolutely no idea why people were piling in here looking like they'd been in a major scuffle. It was probably best to keep quiet.

"No ******** kidding." Jack, now free with their escape successful and all, crossed his arms. "I literally had to drag these two out of the fire," he told Connor.
Chel was left alone to catch her breath on the couch, though he stood near as he eyed the rest; Shun in particular. "What the hell were you thinking, engaging someone that powerful directly?"
