"SH**" she turned away taking a step back as bits of roof actually went flying and showered her from above. She couldn't see, just the big flash of light and now ozone smell in the air. "I am going to tranq them just k-.." her hands were at her eyes blinking but seeing only darkness...which would be fine but she could usually see well enough in darkness and there was nothing sending a thrill of fear through her followed by a flash of anger then fear again. "Melody?!?! Are you okay?!" She shouted, turning slightly, seeing some hints of greys as she blinked rapidly, tearing up with worry, spotting movement but not knowing who it was until they talked. "Kae is she okay?!"
Akash struggled in her grip, preparing to drop and glide when the black hair girl screamed, not for her to turn all gold-like. "We don't want to!" barely feeling the pinch as the tranq hit his side, he kept struggling preparing for another blast to see if she would let them down, she almost fell the first time but he was having a hard time keeping his eye ope-..zzz.

'Two kids? There weren't two kids here the other day, why would someone bring their kids here, more so leave them alone and running around a facility that was still under construction?' Enid thought to himself, though as the Archangel woman left, he turned to look, as best he could, towards Farrow. Tilting his head a little bit, moving to put his hands in his coat pockets.
"Well, It's more of like a sister company than another company all together. It's more or less just an update to any files that SIU and Spectrum have on both Hexxis and Melody, at least that's what I'm doing here to my knowledge. Sadly, my work yesterday was cut severely short." He smiled a bit at the end, soon closing his eyes as it was pointless to keep them opened when it was dark and he had no glasses, "May I inquire as why you're here, miss? I wasn't aware that there would be more people showing up today, then again I would doubt why Miss Mara would keep me in the loop as far as things go, as this is her department, and not mine."

Raven stared up at the roof and watched both kids fall unconscious. Good,... now to get them dow-.. "...I'm not going up there." she blurted out immediately, blinking as she kept her eyes fixated above. Aw, crap. Melody. There was lightning and her scream and that couldn't have been good. She seemed extremely hesitant about going up there herself. "M-melody? Are you okay?" she called out loudly to her as she honestly hoped Melody was fine, she wouldn't have to go up there and everything would just be peachy.
Melody blinked as both children were tranqed and eventually fell asleep. Slowly, she deactivated golden form and sighed. Well, that was easy. Melody scooped up both kids, one under each arm as she made her way to the edge of the roof and jumped down, her descent to the ground was slowed and almost graceful as she planted her footing firmly on the ground. "Yeah, I'm fine... Shocked me a bit, but nothing I can't handle." she said with a confident smile, handing the kids over to Raven then looking back to Mara and suddenly appearing to be a bit nervous. "S-sorry it took me so long to get them... " she muttered, her eyes darting away almost as though she had failed Mara once again.
Farrow nodded slowly even if he probably couldn't see it. "Hmm... I see..." was all she managed. The information he gave wasn't really helpful but it wasn't alarming either. "Hmm, Me?" she blinked, nervousness building up until the cat in her arms nuzzled her. Taking a breath, she collected her words. "I'm Farrow. I'm a true race shadow. I asked Mara if I could join SIU this morning and I guess I'm on a probationary period or something? ..... I'm here to help. I'm pretty good at fighting and stuff so I guess after what happened yesterday, maybe she wasn't so inclined to turn down the offer." she answered in a fairly apathetic and slightly informative tone. "Hey, so... how do you know for sure if someone has a Mane or Malice? Do you... get inside their head or something?" she asked with an almost accusatory inflection on her question, her eye quirking slightly as she narrowed her eyes at him. If he was some kind of telepath, she would need to know right now so she could stay as far the hell away from him as possible. Hopefully, that wasn't the case. Not that she wanted to be around him, more she didn't want to have to keep avoiding him on purpose and draw suspicion to herself.

Mara kept blinking away tears as she slowly she started to regain bits of her eyesight back, thank goodness. In the meantime she listened to Kae and Melody talk, relieved to hear Melody sound okay and that the kids were down. "Took you so long?!... It wasn't your problem and they almost barbecued you for it!! " she growled, wiping her eyes with her sleeve again.
"...Don't they know not to do that?" this time she turned the question to the other person outside, as slowly both Kae, Melody and the two brats started to solidify in her sight. " They could have nearly killed her...or anyone who isn't meta at least!" she ran her hand through her hair. "You did good Melody, sorry. Not up to this today." she moved past them toward the generator room, standing outside just watching the emergency gate as she kept blinking. Nothing, no hum no large sounds nothing, nor was she going to go in there and start playing around. Then Tri was likely messaging her or Syth, then going off to get some help, and her boss knowing what she was...she should have stayed in the hospital.
Taking a breath she centered herself for a moment. "K- Raven. Look them up or something. Just make sure they are out of trouble for a -long- while. Melody can you go check that Dr Enid and out newest member Farrow are okay? Farrow is a True race Shadow who joined us this morning. I don't want her to be having second thoughts. In the mean time.... Generators called in.... and go down from there" she muttered, touching the phone in her pocket before turning away from them and heading inside. Focused now on fixing all of this before she started gaining the bad habit of pulling out her hair.

Dr. Enid laughed a little bit, removing one of his hands from his pocket and waving it in front of his face, as if Farrow could see the hand motion. "No, I don't that sort of power, though that would make things much easier. It's just that when you've interacted with enough people with them, or even ended up growing up with someone with one, you tend to notice little intricacies that could be the difference between someone with a Mane or a Malice or some sort of mental illness." he paused for a moment and brought his thumb to his mouth and started to chew on the nail out of habit. "Not to mention, Manes and Malices tend to have different base emotion sets than their hosts. The one I am most familiar with had his Malice's base emotion seem to be something like a slow, bubbling hatred that could boil over at any point, while the host himself was a wide range of emotion.." Enid seemed to ramble, enjoying getting to talk about this sort of thing.
"Each person has their own colors, their own motions, flow, and even texture to them - like a painting. One person could be more akin to an oil painting while their mane much more fluid like a water color work..it could even be extended to all art forms, actually."

Melody watched Mara wipe her eyes... was she really that angry? "I-I'm..... I'm sorry..." was all she could stammer out and frowned.
Raven was having a difficult time trying to keep the kids in her arms, "They were kept isolated on an island with a evil scientist and psychopath... honestly I think the fact that they are as lovely as they are.. is a wonder even I could never understand..." she sighed. "I can promise they'll be asleep for a while." Raven shook her head and looked down at them. "...maybe I should look up zen classes or yoga or something..." she muttered under her breath.
Farrow listened as though she were actually interested in what he had to say about Manes and Malices. She paused as a thought dawned on her, causing her to stop moving altogether for just a moment before speeding up and practically grabbing his hand to turn him to look her in the eye, only touching him briefly and letting go almost immediately. "Wait... I have a really important question..." she announced, a strong determination in her eyes. "You know so much about Manes and Malices... can... Can a Malice become a Mane? Or are they always a Malice forever?" she asked almost demanding an answer behind wide eyes laced with a hopeful desperation for an answer that would point her in the direction of what she sought. She had almost completely forgotten about the topic of mind reading completely as she stared at him.
As Mara gave her the order to go check on Dr. Enid and Farrow, she blinked, scrambling to compose herself. "R-right! I'm on it! You can count on me Mo-... Mara..." she exclaimed, then made a nervous harp noise and took off immediately inside to building to do just that as quick as possible.

Mara blinked as Melody passed her rushing inside as she called her Mo? What? A laugh nearly escape her out of all logical reaction that had to be the one that came out. Great she was turning into Bob, well not really that was a much more amusing story. Still it would have been better if Melody wasn't rushing out like a new recruit.....actually she was though. Hm ... she still considered her a child in a way but she did join up... okay something for another day.
Taking one glance back at Kae she resisted the urge to ask which one was who and shook her head going inside finally to make that call.

Blinking when his hand was grabbed, he chuckled a little as she asked her question. Putting his hand back into his pocket, he sighed. "I don't actually know an answer to that one, aside from I don't know. I haven't come across anything like that happening, at least to my knowledge. If it has happened, there is a chance that I either saw the beginning or end of it, when it was a Malice at the start or a Mane at the end. So the answer to your question is - I really have no idea. I'm sorry, though." he frowned a little bit, looking in her general direction.

"...oh..." she frowned and stopped again. Despite his answer, it only left more unanswered questions and it felt like an uphill battle to prove she could even be a Mane. She would probably be the first, and even if she was, how would anyone ever accept her. She sighed and held onto the cat. "it's okay....i'm.... i'm sorry I wasted your time with a weird question like that.." she responded then walked briskly to her own room and shut the door. Leaning against it, she slid down to sit and pulled out her phone in the darkness. The light of the screen illuminating the tears forming in her eyes. She began to text Ree, wiping her eyes as she did so, her face hot with frustration but also longing and sadness. /I haven't heard from you in a while. I hope you're okay./ was all she could manage to type before sighing and just hitting the send button and just locking the door and moving to the bed, only the crawl underneath it and curl up, the cat sitting at the edge of the bed on the floor as it watched her. "...orrin.." she whispered as she outstretched a hand to him and the cat moved closer and curled up into her arms.
Melody finally reached Enid as Farrow walked away, or at least it looked like it. It was hard to tell with it being so dark. "...Dr. Enid?..." she called out softly, not even sure it was him. She shifted nervously then tried to look down the hall, but could see nothing. "...it's really dark.." she commented quietly, a slight twinge of worry in her voice.
Kae sighed and moved back inside, her eyes adjusting to the darkness easily as well her glowing silver eyes illuminated the way just a bit. As she made her way to what looked like Dr. Enid and Melody talking, she paused for a moment. "Everything okay?"

"It's alright. Maybe someone else could help you with that question at some point." Dr. Enidt smiled a little bit, but as two more figures joined him, he seemed to be getting a little bit on the uneasy side. "Aside from it being dark, everything is fine. I feel like I should probably make my way to my room, as I have no idea how to fix the lights." he chuckled a little nervously.

Melody looked to Raven, blinking for a moment before recognizing the voice as she moved forward to take one of the kids from her to give her an easier time with moving them.
"I think Mara is working on that right now.." she spoke then sighed. "Doesn't look like there's not much that can be done with the power out... Sorry about that... I have a good feeling it had to do with these two." she motioned to the Stormy and Akash then looked over to the room. "We could likely talk later once everything is settled down again... Melody, I need to show you something in my room, if you could help me get these two there."
"Hmm?.. Yeah, I can do that.." she answered, taking a cursory glance back to Enid, "If you need anything.. I guess let me know.. Mara will likely be busy so I'll try to help out in her stead... Or ask-.. uhm.."
"Raven."
"...Raven. She quirked an eyebrow then nodded. "Well... uhm... See you around, Dr. Enid." she frowned slightly then followed Raven back to her room.
