Normally Rabbit wouldn't have even noticed the woman's panicked purse clutch, but he was paying just enough nervous attention right now to have seen it and was just about to make a face when he felt the disembodied voice of a supernatural barbecue. He gasped, turning toward the park with his hands still out.

"I have to go," he announced, abruptly refolding his arms as he hurried in the direction he was being pulled.

It was time to come and ******** see.

After getting about a half a block away, Rabbit seemed to snap out of the suggestion slightly. He looked over his shoulder, adding a, "You should come too! I won't take your purse!" at the woman as he continued on.

"BROKEN MOTHERBOARDS!" Erin physically jumped as she shouted, the disembodied voice yanking her chin in a direction and leaving the taste of burnt meat - and not good steak - in her mouth. It actually was sort of comical how she reacted, arms flailing to one side and eyes wide. It probably would have been funny to her, after the fact.

Except it was a disembodied voice, in what she was starting to suspect might be 'other' ashdown.

Erin shrugged her shoulders sheepishly, giving sort of an apologetic smile - that was the right thing to do here, yeah? - to Asiya and Sage.

"Sorry... that was loud. We should... go." She fell into a silence awkwardly again, following Sage to the place they needed to go. The park was never quite somewhere she'd spent a lot of time; she tended to over work herself enough she'd work twelve hours days and never see the sun. Downside to being the only competent tech in the store.

Zac glanced over at the new comer, nodding to the question. "yeah... I suspect we are. I'm Zac." he said and offered a hand. "Did you... find yourself here and you're not sure why?" He offered, tipping his head out of curiosity.

"Ves," she said, taking the proffered hand with a nod. "I was with... well, someone else. Alexis. She ran off and I'm just as unsure as I was before."

She waved at the rest of the group, taking in all their faces. Surely there was safety in numbers. And the snippets she'd overheard were enough to convince her that she'd stumbled across people who knew far more than she did about their current predicament.

"Are you the missing Zac? And... and the missing detective?" She said, spotting Jeremiah's badge. "I suppose this makes us all, technically, missing."

From real Ashdown, anyway. But they were all here in this strange, drizzly alternative to reality, so they couldn't possibly be gone.

He noticed Ves and knew exactly who she was (by face anyway) because if there were any worse gossip that teens and college students, it was the teachers.

Algie snorted at that, not having thought of it until Ves had said it, "I suppose we are all missing.."

He'd spent the better part of two weeks searching for the kids, helping Jeremiah research and question, and finding creepy strange people. He'd heard about this place and met Sunny well before he'd actually come here. He'd wanted so badly to find Zac and Jeremiah that once he finally did he was much less shocked than he expected by all the rest of it. And now he was just one of them.

Would someone look for all of them if they couldn't get back out?

At least Jeremiah had his gun.

"Is this the main road in that direction?" He asked a bit louder for the leaders of the pack, mostly because he'd never learned his way around past a small cross section of city blocks (and he was bad with gps), "You know, should there be others, will we all be funneled together? Wouldn't want to lose people if there are more out there."

Jeremiah glanced over at Ves then over to Alg and didn't say a word, merely arched an eyebrow before he nodded. "Mercer," he replied to Ves when she mentioned missing detective. Not that he was all that amused looking at the moment with two black eyes.

Thank god Algie had not punched him with that pinky ring on or he'd have a cut up cheek as well.

"They've probably already made a report on the news with more missing." He glanced over to Algie. "Wasn't the fog getting worse on the other side?" Yet here it was misty and drizzling, as close to sunny as it could get without it being sunny.

Jeremiah tilted his head down the road but then glanced towards Finn and Aleksy, mostly because while he had been here for a few days with Zac, they were the ones he knew that ... likely had the most knowledge. If you wanted abstract knowledge about things ...

Then you talked to Jeremiah and Zac. His wanderings had not turned up much, aside from his garish umbrella (which it looked like Mogget was now after again) and a smattering of knowledge from books within the library (aka Sunny's Secret Diary KEEP OUT).

"Uh, yeah. I was just going to get the mail- got some bath bombs calling my name- and suddenly I'm here. I guess... I'm missing now, too." Lord she really hoped her parents weren't following Ashdown's news. All she needed was them flipping s**t at her irresponsible lifestyle choices. Wasn't her fault spooky s**t was happening to her. Still, there was (seemingly) a way out of this awful mess. At the very least, she was gonna stay hopeful. But then, the question of the kids- the ones Chris had been worried about- gnawed at her thoughts and refused to back down.

"...The kids who went missing, though. Are they here somewhere?" And alive, she left unmentioned.

Finn and Jeremiah. Those were names easy enough to keep track of and Chris went quiet as the group moved forward, deciding to listen a bit more than talk. Mostly he just wanted to sort out his thoughts, now that there was less panic to be had and more.. awkward walking contemplation in a vague sense that they would survive probably.

At least his suspicion that the people he had met were, in fact, part of the group that had gone missing recently. If they had found them, there was possibly a chance for the kids.

While Autumn did sum up a question he had, he did nudge her a little with his elbow. "Technically you aren't missing, since you're surrounded by people who know where you are," He joked, mouth quirking into a small smile. Yes, technically they were in the.. Otherworld (and he wanted to call it helltown, he really did, but Finn knew what he was doing and so he was going to follow what he said) but it was somewhere that was known and with people.

Aleksy shrugged. "Probably they're here, and well enough. Unless they're terrible scavengers, then they likely starved." (Finn often said Aleksy took things to the most morbid conclusion, and this was a true thing. He did.)

It wasn't like the otherworld really lacked for food, though; it just tended to be, um. Bland. Flavorless. Of very gross texture...

He frowned. "It's the most direct route to Waite," he said to Algernon, rolling his eyes. "We'd meet up with them in the forest, regardless."

Mogget had made a small dash down from Zac's shoulder and made a hop to cling to Jeremiah's sweater so he could climb the man in a hunt for the golden ghosts. He really did love them, they were very NEARLY as cool as his marvelous stick toy.

Zac had to give a soft laugh at some of the observations though. "Yeah... I suppose we're more 'found-ish' now. I didn't even realize how long I was gone since this place is a bit... Different if you can't tell already." He rubbed at the back of his neck and gave a small laugh though there was little humor in it.

"I haven't seen anything of the Kids, and I think I'm the one who got here...first after the kids." he admitted. "I haven't even found a clear clue as to where they might be."

Jeremiah ended up waving the garish umbrella a bit while Mogget was climbing in. It was likely odd to see the detective, one of the supposed missing (though now there were so many more) playing with a cat in this place like it was a normal day.

Also resolutely trying to not think about the food that he had had while here. It was ... Jeremiah was still hungry. Do you know how hungry he had to get to try strange other ashdown food? Really damn hungry. He'd tried it all the same.

"We never saw any sight of them," Jeremiah added, looking towards Aleksy and then briefly Algie because that hadn't come up yet. "I checked several places I thought they might have been but there's no sign of them that I could find." Something, he assumed, was hiding them. Otherwise the detective and Zac would have likely found the missing kids.

"Has it really been three days since I've been gone?" he asked quietly to Alg, just wanting confirmation that that was the case. "It feels a bit longer, to be honest."

"Different doesn't even begin to cover it," Chris mumbled back, giving an awkward sort of smile in return. Grim humor for a grim situation.

His smile dropped quickly though. He knew, rationally, that the kids were smart enough to not starve. But if the one who hadn't been here the longest (and god what was his name? it was something short, he vaguely remembered - max?) after the kids hadn't seen them... their chances were slim.

"So the kids are still missing even here that's... great," Chris muttered weakly, a strange sense of panic starting to come over him. Vaguely he focused on the cat (when the hell did a cat get here), trying to get himself in control. It wasn't like he was responsible for the kids or anything, but he still felt a very strange sort of guilt over it all the same.

Unsure of what to say or what to add (as she didn't really have anyone in this town she'd mourn if they went missing,) Autumn rubbed Chris's back absentmindedly, feeling guilty for bringing the issue of the kids forward. It wasn't really her place, and terrified as they were, Chris wasn't really her friend. She'd just kind of shoved herself into the mess of his business, and wasn't that lovely? At the very least, she could be a comforting presence to the guy.

She wasn't a liar, though. She wasn't going to promise they were okay, especially now that nobody had seen them. Maybe some kind of miracle would keep them safe, but... considering how little Autumn knew, she wasn't gonna bet on anything.

"We'll figure something out when we get out of here," Autumn offered instead, looking from Chris to the rest of the group.

"So uh. How long should it take us to get there?"

God, everyone was talking. Leila was beginning to turn fidgety on top of everything else, and she was barely keeping track of the conversation(s?) taking place. It was pretty obvious to her that heading over to the forest was the best idea, albeit because it was the only idea. The whole still-being-alive thing wasn't as reassuring as she hoped it would be, but she managed to absently return the waves and gestures she got from people she knew.

"Hey, uh--" she started uncertainly, mostly to Aleksey, Finn and Jeremiah nearby-- "maybe start that way, at least? We can stop or, uh, change direction if something comes up, but it's literally our only lead right now." Even if it was spooky as s**t. Also, she didn't want to find out whether this place would somehow punish them for not following instruction.

Brianna - Heading to the voice

Brianna made a face at his comment, even if the creepy voice was well...creepy. Very creepy. Like where was it coming from? A PA system? Did someone hack some sort of computer and broadcast?

She didn't know why she jumped or felt obligated to follow after Rabbit, but her gut told her staying here would probably be worst. Even if the first person she saw was some scary looking dude.

""I'm not staying here!" She repeated and looked around. Her eyes landed on a very worn looking umbrella and she SWORE she had never seen it there before but it seemed to be the only way to move and try to deal with her massive fear of water.

She took a deep breath, opening up the umbrella and stepped out after him. Once she was sure she wasn't going to be smothered with rain, she followed after the man quickly.

"So like...Why are we heading to this big scary voice!?!?"
