"I hope I can repay the favor." He would cook her something better then dried meat next time. "You've done really well with Imari, shes polite for a janarim, of course she is a lady janarim so that makes sense." Sky followed after her and plopped down on the ground with a happy sigh while Kiyelt took his first few bites of food. "Well this is fantastic!" Whatever spices she had wrangled made the food absolutely come alive in his mouth.

"You're letting me stay here," Ichil said, "That's more than enough." She smiled and took her first bite. Huh! For winging it it wasn't so bad! Those Zenan spices were downright tasty.
"I'm glad you think so!" she said then, her smile growing even broader. She had at last chewed and swallowed before responding. Hah, imagine! She was being domestic, and was proud of it! Ah, how life could change.
Imari came only as close as Sky and laid just a little ways away from him, still watching the food being eaten.

It was a most enjoyable meal and as the sun started to fall out of the sky, Kiyelt cleaned up and prepared to get ready for bed. He was nervous and excited and doubted that he would sleep a wink but he was all for it. Sharing a bed was not something he had done often if at all, especially with ladies. He was excited to make up for his inexperience though. "Which side do you want?"

Ichil was going about getting ready for bed herself, letting her hair down and disappearing into the tend to change from riding wear into a nightgown. She waited for Kiyelt there and smiled when he entered.
"Do we need sides?" she certainly didn't plan on keeping to her own side, not when Kiyelt had deemed them exclusive. She had never shared a bed except with her sisters, and she had never been properly cuddled. Tonight was the night.

"I guess not?" He tilted his head, then got into bed, in the middle letting her choose which side she wanted, whether or not they had actual sides would be up to her. Despite his iceling blood at least he wasn't cold, that would help. He tried to relax but he was nervous and his feet kept twitching so he sat up and went cross legged. "I hope I don't snore. The only people who know are probably back in Zena.

Ichil was somewhat impressed that Imari hadn't tried to follow her into the tent. The beast tried to follow her everywhere. Maybe she was just more content with her new male friend. Huh. Birds of a feather and whatnot.
She had been just about to crawl in beside Kiyelt when he sat up. She looked to him curiously. "Don't worry about it," she assured him, "You didn't snore the last time. Remember? I've slept over before." Just separately. "At least, if you did, I didn't notice it." That was true, she certainly had not.

"Well, good my apologies if I do." He laid back down, and tossed an arm over his eyes, peeking at her underneath. He took a deep breath, removed his arm and smiled. Then he held his arms open, "Hi I'm your personal blue heater," He smiled. "Nights get cold as you know." He now wanted her in his arms so bad his teeth hurt.

Ichil slumped and gave Kiyelt a look as he peered at her from beneath his arm. Was he quite finished with his dramatics now? She was amused by it, of course, but couldn't help but tease with her eyes. Finally he held his arms open and she crept in silkily, only a single layer of fabric between her body and Kiyelt's arms. She had never slept with someone like this. She felt vulnerable, but it was alright. She trusted him. She wasn't sure how or why, but she trusted him.
The noblewoman leaned up and kissed Kiyelt on the lips, and then snuggled against him and into his chest and shoulder. Oh, he was warm. She closed her eyes briefly and then tilted her chin up and turned them to Kiyelt. She offered him a gentle smile.

Initially it felt like she had touched lightning to every nerve ending he had. But once she settled in it felt right, she belonged there all curled up and it felt like a puzzle piece sliding into place. He kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her. Her gentle smile was a gift that brushed and then sank into his soul. He wriggled until he could rest his head on hers. Peaceful contentment, with a hint of wild zing.

Ichil closed her eyes again and reached u to rub Kiyelt's jaw and cheek a few moments affectionately, albeit mindlessly. She heaved a contented sigh and her hand fell to his chest once more as her breathing pattern became slow and regular. Ah, she never would have imagined herself here, but she was so glad it had come to this.

Kiyelt kissed her hair and relaxed himself, sleep may or may not come, but the whole world felt right. Eventually sleep took him as well, warm and comfortable and oh so very happy.
