Returning from the central outgrowth with Kursha, Eostre turned to him as they entered."I think I'll just head down to the basement, dear. I'll see you later, and you can just tell me all about it, alright?" She winked flirtatiously and descended into the basement.

The first thing she noticed was that the yellowblooded mutant was missing. When had that happened? And besides the lumpy gray blob of a brutalized child, there was no one else in the basement. That would certainly help her focus. She didn't really think there would be any new clues, but the weird cage... and sudden disappearance of the mutant was... interesting. How could they have escaped so fast?

Shrugging, she walked along the walls again, looking for anything out of place from the last time she was here. Maybe she could find out...

But that wasn't why she was here. Walking over to the wall where the switchboard was, she was careful to look for anyone watching her, even though the room was empty now. She couldn't afford to be seen, and neither could her partner. She once again flipped the switch that would plunge the entire hive into darkness, ready to exit the area when she finished to decrease suspicion. Whoops~

      [+] Kursha Vidari

After Eostre disappeared into the basement, Kursha busied himself with the bookshelf. Back to Schrad, he selected a slender novel and fanned through it, feigning to peruse its contents. Surprise, surprise. Nothing incriminating there. He returned it to the shelf and stifled a yawn. He found it hard to believe that people actually read for entertainment; they must have led dull lives indeed.

Grabbing another book, Kursha made an attempt to actually read as he thumbed through it. He could not be too dismissive. Maybe he stood a chance to learn something. His mouth tightened. A crease formed in his brow. The words began to swim before his eyes. A dull throb formed in his forehead. So. Boring. This was hell. He was in hell. He was in hell, and he was going to...

The lights went out.

Kursha breathed a sigh of relief and tossed the book to the floor. At some point, he needed to take a match and burn the place down. For now though, he needed to utilise his cover while he had it. Moving to the desk, careful to avoid tripping over anything he felt along the wall. At last, his fingers bumped against the picture frame. In the darkness a red light became visible. Only for a moment however. He found the switch, and a second later the light went out. Mission accomplished.

Almost on cue, the lights flick off all over the hive. A few seconds pass, and as you start to feel uncomfortable, they flick on again. Confused, you make your way to the central hivestem, however no new dramatic occurrence seems to have happened. In fact, Gerard Rutven's petulant wail is suspiciously silent all over the hive.

All trolls have gathered in the central hivestem.
The fourth hour of the party has begun.
Your first move out of the central hivestem this hour does not loose you an investigation.

It is (also) a new ooc day! All investigations have been reset to 3.
Clues posted in the central hivestem will be pmed out shortly.

Some noted reminders:
Please remember that you lose an investigation if you switch Outgrowths during a party hour!
Please also remember that 100 words are required for EACH investigation that you do.
Finally, please be aware of the players and NPCs when entering a room and be mindful of their presence when you RP! Not only is it good etiquette, there are certain mechanics that rely on being mindful of character interactions.

The west outgrowth has been updated for the fouth party hour. It seems that some things in the various areas around the outgrowth have changed, and some locations have been disturbed. Perhaps they merit a new inspection.

Aconan was still cuddled into her lusus when they entered this block, ideally looking for Comedi. His mirthfulness was in danger, after all, and Aconan was honourbound to protect him, as he was an important highblood! And, she privately admitted to herself, he was a moirail to a greenblood. It wasn't that Aconan was casteist, but seeing greenbloods like herself succeed - even if it wasn't in her own ideal career - was heartening. It bolstered her hopes and beliefs that she could do it, she could BECOME THE HUNTERRORIST. Yes. Her chances were good. After all Sir had a very decorated military career, and she was the lowest of the low - if she could do it, Aconan certainly could.

But as they entered, briefly looking in the Basement, but nobody was in that room save for the lump of (potentially dead?) mutantblood, they discovered not Comedi, but Tigwn in the library. Aconan watched him pace for a few seconds, and then decided to ask him some questions. She was curious about him - well okay, moreso his experiences in space, but she guessed he was probably pretty interesting also.

"Excuse me."

After waiting for him to acknowledge her, she spoke again.

"Is it hard adjusting to life on the planet? Compared to space?"

Then, watching him pick at books.

"...Are you looking for something?"

Leeroi reeled back, quickly reaching a hand out to grab Glitch's fur. Glitch wanted him to stay put and rest, or even go home, but Leeroi refused, promising to finish his investigations. Deep down, Glitch knew there wasn't really an option. The best she could do was keep close and make sure he didn't hurt himself the rest of the night. She walked slow, letting him hold onto her when he needed it.

Leeroi scratched at his bandages. For a creature without hands, his lusus was pretty skilled at applying bandages. (She wasn't always, dealing with this on a regular basis forced her to learn.) If anything, she always went over-the-top with it. There had been little bleeding— only one of his scars had split open in the scuffle— yet Leeroi's entire forehead and one eye had been wrapped up in bandages. He suppose he didn't mind. Though wearing the mask was near impossible. He nearly ditched it altogether.

He wandered back into the library, not even shocked at the sight of Tigwyn. Had the guy even moved at all. He seemed a lot more panicked then before, but Leeroi didn't really care. He didn't even care enough to put his mask back on. Drumming up the energy to talk to Tigwyn, he fidgeted for his pen, only to remember that Kursha had taken it. He frowned, but tried to regain his composure for the adult in front of him.

"Mr. Ioyana," Leeroi spoke, clearing his throat. "Do you know anything about Erilyn or the mutantbloods?" He asked, little energy in his voice. He turned slightly, and noticing Aconan, he waved. He'd pull through this, he told himself. He'd get to the end and win.

Suppressing the apprehension proved much harder than Elidae thought, despite trying to convince others and herself otherwise with her faux smile. After dismissing herself from Eridia, she had made a short visit to the central hivestem, making little conversation with others, then retreated to the familiarity of the library. At this time, she was feeling tremendously uneasy, however refusing to accept it. Eridia's words still dug their claws into her think pan and pumpbiscuit, causing a whirlwind of confusing and conflicting emotions.

For the time being, she focused on the area before her, giving it a fairly good search. Even if she had been here previous times before, there could always be something new, something changed. Too bad she had a terrible memory. In a short distance, she took notice of a familiar orangeblood. A soft smile grew on her face. Then, she bounded up to him.

"Hey, Tigw- ... oh! Uhh..." Blinking, she watched Tigqyn pace, restless and flustered, his usual cool exterior cracking. Elidae stood still, eyeing him curiously. "You seem to be spending a lot of time in here... maybe you should move somewhere else?" After his defensive response, Elidae brought a hand to her mouth in shock, hiding her pained expression. Not a moments later, he was fine, even joking. For her sake, she beamed, despite the unusual animosity. He seemed to be... searching for something? Maybe? "Are you looking for something?" She inquired, looking him over...

After conversation with Tiqwyn ceased, Elidae sauntered into the study part of the library, where she noticed a waste bin. People usually threw bad things in the trash, right? Riiight? Reaching down, she began to inspect some of the shredded up paper inside of the bin, though the action was more like playing around with all the stringy pieces. Which ones fit together? Look at all the colors! What a lovely distraction. It wasn't long until she had made a small mess on the floor around her, but she hadn't really noticed as she picked through.

Eridia headed west to avoid her father. He knew nothing about what was happening, nothing! He couldn't possibly believe Gerard of all trolls was involved in the whole murder business. It was impossible for her to believe that. Everyone lost their common sense tonight except her. Running her hand through her hair, the child noticed she had arrived to the hive's library. Eridia scanned the area with her eyes and breathed in the scent of books. Disgusting. She thought as her gaze trailed towards Ioyana.

Eridia rolled her eyes and decided to look at the large picture frames. She dedicated each and every one of them her time. Touching them softly and analyzing what each contained. The child also viewed them from different perspectives, numbers ran wild in her mind. Was it possible to find what she wanted here? Eridia took various things to step on, and got a closer look at the picture frames. Each frame had it's little 'stool' in front. No, no.... Was was it again? She was tempted to go back to her mind palace or her treasure but that would just slow her down. And by the looks of the brawl she enjoyed, Eridia was sure Kursha would try doing the same. Once last time, she looked at the frames before taking her leave. She had to check if anything happened down south.

The wastebin has a number of confetti-like documents in it. You take care to turn off the shredder before sticking your hand in. [!]

Leeroi was largely silent, staying out of the way of prodding looks. Out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted a familiar yellow, but he ignored it. He couldn't put a finger on why, but he didn't have the energy to talk to Elidae now. He supposed her precious Captain Vidari could explain the nature of their fight to her. Leeroi didn't care that the information would be skewed against him. He was confident he was still in the right, and if Elidae couldn't figure that out, then too bad.

He approached Tigwyn carefully again, this time with his notebook prepared. He was happy to have the book back, but it definitely didn't have the same feel as before. Softly, he asked Tigwyn one last question, "What more do you know about Puchen?" He asked, fingertips drumming on the spine of his book. His notes were smaller now, loosely written. It was clear to see that the blueblood was losing energy.

      [+] Kursha Vidari

With the location revealed, Kursha wasted no time in getting to the basement. Moving at a brisk pace just under a jog, he hurried through the library. As he reached the basement door, he caught a glimpse of gold out of the corner of his eye. Over by the desk, kneeling on the floor, Elidae sifted through the trash. Kursha almost waved, but stealth was priority. Without a word, he slipped into the basement.

Once the door shut behind him, Kursha raced down the stairs, taking two steps at a time. At the bottom he paused. No matter how eager he was to get this over with, Eostre still needed to get into position. Counting the seconds, he waited. When an ample amount of time had passed he went to the switchboard. Here went nothing... He pulled the braker.

All across the property, the lights went out.

Just as quickly as he had come down them, Kursha booked it back up the steps. While he could hardly get into trouble for playing with the power, he might have a difficult time explaining it. Someone else could turn the damn lights back on.

Slinking back into the library, Kursha found he could make out dim outlines in the gloom, thanks to the moonlight from the window. He glanced towards the desk. A small figure huddled up next to it, frozen exactly where he had left her. He felt a twinge. Since the start of Regina's event, he had not been able to catch the yellowblood on her own. Creeping across the carpet, Kursha went to her, spurs silent. He stooped down beside her, hands crossed over his knees.

“Hey. You all right?”

Peace and quiet... not really. There was a large amount of people milling about in the library. Everywhere else was packed. At least here, the books soaked up a lot of sound. Adamaz looked around, and spotted a desk. He gave it a good lookin’ and then crawled underneath, and tried to meditate. Get some peace and quiet, and maybe SOME enjoyment from this party. Though the vegetable was pretty good, he supposed. And he met a nice orangeblood. Maybe he should find her and try and hang out. He could use some friends… in general.

There was a lot of talking to the adult in the room that was pretty hard to block out. Apparently, he could be from space? Eh, he was probably mishearing things. Adamaz got back to focusing… focusing…

Ugh, that husktop light was distracting. Adamaz crawled out and walked over to it… oh wait, the husktop was actually on the desk. What he was seeing was the light reflecting off the file cabinet. He squinted, and gave the file cabinet another good lookin’. He wondered if he could move it a little? Then the husktop wouldn’t be a problem. Papa Roach tried to move it, and Adamaz tried to find a way to help. He even tried looking inside for a tool, but their efforts failed. He guessed he could try fiddling with the Husktop…

Adamaz wasn’t very good at computers. He’d never really interacted with them much; the ones he found at the dump were all busted. He tried finding a way to… turn it off? But he couldn’t find one, just the on-button. He tried to find some option on the screen. Alas; a lot of things, but neither he nor Papa Roach could find an off-button there. Papa Roach nudged the screen a little so it wasn’t reflecting off the cabinet though. Neat! Thanks, dad. He meditated in peace, for as long as he could. Then he decided to take a walk.

Upon investigating the desk, you notice some interesting papers and envelopes scattered here and there. There are also now a ton of magazines and books laid out everywhere - history, culture, you name it. You rifle through the messy pile [!]

You head straight for the husktop. It's turned off, and you head for the husktower below the desk to turn it on when you notice something. [!]

Something is different about the filing cabinet. You take a closer look. [!]
