Name: Cain Response: Art, huh? Art wasn't really Cain's thing. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate are, or that he didn't like art. It just wasn't something he often really looked at. Yah, it seemed weird for him to be in an art class if that were the case, but his sister Abel had taken the class, and Cain decided he didn't really have anything to lose. Art was always easy marks.
"I'd have to say my favourite artist is probably Cryptid-Creations. I love how quirky and cute their stuff is. They draw a lot of animals which is really cool too. One of my favourite pieces they've done was actually of a polar bear looking all blissed out and pleased with itself. I guess I like more comical art ... " Link to Art:

"M-my favorite artist is Cathy S R Read. She mostly does a lot of paintings of buildings..." She showed off the piece to the class, it probably didn't seem like all that much to them but Eilwen really loved it. When it came to art she loved anyone that could capture the beauty of any sort of architecture and Cathy was one of the best at making ti interesting.
Name: Samhain Response: Samhain loved art, and practicing art. It was fun to bring things to life. He also liked seeing the visions and creations of other people. So it was a bit hard to narrow down who his favorite artist was. There were a lot of great people to pick from but the class asked for him to pick one piece and he definitely didn't want to get carried away. "My favorite artist at least for the week is Dragos Jieanu. I love the detail and creativity they put into their work. They do a lot of matte painting which can then be used to help movies when they don't have the money to build all of the elaborate set, or the magic to cast illusions. Link to Art:time machine

Name: Response: Chau grinned as he presented his favorite artist, a long ago Renaissance great Luca della Robbia, the carving was of the skilled that Chau someday wanted to be able to do as well. Also the creative manner of the young woman's face on the one side and on the back of her head an old man, was really kool in Chau's opinion. He loved the whole work of art. Response: Following about an hour of searching through art history books for something that caught his eye, Ellis finally chose a flowery piece that made him smile in spite of its blotchiness and... were those Nightmares lounging across the bottom? They looked awfully plain. Maybe this Marc Chagall had been an elf!
He stood at his seat when prompted, turning his book so the class could see.
"It's almost nonsensical up close, but when you get farther back, you can see flowers and, well, I just think it's a really neat painting." He closed the book with an accidental snap, then awkwardly slid back into his seat.
Coco wasn't happy with her results from the game, she sighed she was afraid that her score meant that she couldn't be a good artist, what if all her art of terrible and everyone was just being too nice to her to say anything. Coco wanted to cry, wasn't a 3.3 really bad??
Chau wasn't bothered by his low score on the color game, he worked with clay, he loved the feel of clay in his fur. So colors weren't a big part of Chau's art life. Chau also didn't tend to let anything get him down, even finding out from his doctor that he didn't have much magic stamina. It didn't slow Chau down, he would get through whatever life threw at him.

Name: Melaine Prompt Response: Melaine lofted a brow and smiled at the assignment they'd been given. She considered herself particularly artistic. It played heavily in her theater production background. Melaine had great attention to detail from years of building sets. This should be a piece of cakeshe thought as she loaded the game.
Melaine frowned slightly at her score. 7.7 wasn't extremely bad but it did bruise her ego a bit. While she had good attention to detail, her lack of focus hurt her score once things got more challenging. She toyed with the idea of quickly doing it over, imaging the lack of a good response from the professor. This isn't impressive at all. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands. The strain was there in her eyes from the extra effort she'd used to rally and turn her score around. Realizing it would only have a even worse result to redo the game with her eyes aching and tired, she took a deep breath and showed her result to the professor.

Name: Binhdi Prompt Response: As Binhdi settled in to play the assigned color game, she was feeling more than a little smug. She had great color coordination when it came to fashion, after all! Though, after a few minutes of the game, she felt her eyes beginning to cross as she tried frantically to spin the little wheel around to match it before time ran out.
By the time she finished, her eyes were watering and she wanted nothing more than to find a nice, neutrally colored room to go sit in for a while. Her score of 5.7 was decent enough. Besides, she consoled herself, just because a silly game gave her a mediocre score didn't mean she couldn't match up colors. It just meant she was bad at this game.

Art had always been one of Ganymede's favorite courses- though it was hard to tell what the teacher thought of him even after all this time... Foras liked this class too, and he knew for certain that they didn't really get along all that much.
For the day's activity, Ganymede picked out Purple, Black, and White... they were all interesting colors with varied meanings around the globe.
Purple- In some cultures, Purple is the color of Magic. It can also be a sign for royalty, since purple dyes are expensive and hard to make.
Black- Most commonly, black is the color associated with darkness and the unknown. But in some cultures, black is a comforting color since the mysterious nature of it is seen as a good thing.
White- White is often associated with purity, but in some cultures its a mourning color. White is also capable of being entirely overwhelming to the senses, leaving viewers feeling exposed or impure themselves.
