XXXXX"It's better then any room I've ever had all to myself." Tanji says as he takes a seat on the couch, and in response to Tora questioning if her room is unusual. The two of them then spend a while drinking sake and listening to the music Tora had put on. At some point Tora mentions something about being hot as Tanji is distracted by trying to drink the last of his sake without spilling it, but just as he got the last of his sake in his mouth he suddenly gets pounced on and pushed down so that he is laying down on the couch as a wild-eyed and slightly-undressed Tora starts to make out with him.
XXXXXA hungover Tanji wakes up the next morning with little memory of what happened after that point, but the state he and Tora are in, as they lay unclothed and still "intimately connected" on Tora's couch, leaves little of what they got up to last night to the imagination. "Looks like a lot I don't remember happened last night. And is it morning already? Well Hanaki is no doubt gonna yell at me when I get back to my office if it is, so I guess I may as well just go back to sleep for a bit sense I'm feeling pretty exhausted." Tanji thinks as he closes his eyes and tries to get some more sleep in before Tora wakes up.

Tora lays there, slowly awakening. 'What a dream ... wait.' Her bed feels firmer than she remembers and warm. Her sharp ears hear a heart beat coming from it. This doesn't feel like a bed. At. All. She feels around and suddenly remembers, at least in part, what happened the night before. Not knowing how else to handle this, she decides to simply hug him and lay there dozing. That is, until there's a knock on her door. Tora's eyes pop wide and she blushes like mad. 'Oh ******** ...' She must have waited too long because the door starts to slide open. "Oh, don't come in, I'm not ... uh feeling well." The door stops, just open a slight crack. A reply comes, "It's just me, Kuroyuri. The guys are downstairs. Do you need any medicine?" Tora thinks quickly. "No, th-that won't be necessary. I am sure it's just because I am exhausted." Tora mutters softly to Tanji, "I should be, really, all things considered." Her answer to Kuroyuri must have satisfied her and the door slides back shut. "I'll just tell everybody to leave you alone." The next thing she says causes Tora to blush bright red. "I'll bring some breakfast up for you two and some fresh tea." After that, her footsteps fade down the hall and down the stairs. "Heh ..." She settles back down and hugs Tanji while giving him a kiss.
XXXXX Not managing to get any more sleep in before Tora begins to wake up, Tanji, with his eyes still closed, feels Tora hug him as she sifts to a more comfortable position, and is about to hug her back when he hears a knock at the door. This causes him to freeze in place so that he appears to still be asleep. Tanji then listens to the back and forth between Tora and Kuroyuri, including Tora's aside about how she should be tired that she lets out during said back and forth. After Kuroyuri leaves and the sounds of footsteps fade away, Tanji unfreezes and opens his eyes just in time for Tora to grab him with another hug and start a kiss. A gesture Tanji gladly reciprocates and escalates. Then, after that make out session and another round of "more intimate things" are done, Tora and Tanji are snuggling in Tora's bed when the door starts to open without warning. "Sounds like you two are done, so I'm here to bring you your breakfast before it gets cold." they hear as whoever is opening the door enters the room.

Tora quickly wraps herself up in her sheet and begins to fling pillows at Hikari. "You ... Kuuki yomenai! Why did you just barge in? You know better than that!" Hikari dodges and ducks the pillows as best as he can and leaves the tray on her tea table and beats a hasty retreat as she lobs a body pillow at him. "OUT!" Tora pants as she catches her breath and calms down. "Bakayaro ..." She sighs and looks over at Tanji and apologizes, "He means well ... but ... he often acts without thinking. He's not necessarily a bad guy, though. Still, I'm sorry about that." She gets up and lifts the lid on one of the plates. "Eggs, furikake, grilled red snapper, and pickled vegetables." She flicks her tail as she grabs tray and walks over to him with it. "Breakfast in bed?"
XXXXX Tanji chuckles as he watches Tora fling pillow after pillow at her servant. "You don't need to apologize for something someone else did." He says after Tora says she is sorry for that. Tora then asks if he wants breakfast in bed and Tanji responds with. "Well it's either Breakfast in bed or get dressed and carry breakfast back downstairs with us, and I'm not sure if you've noticed or not but that pile of tattered cloth seems to be all that is left of your yukata, my shirt, and both of our underwear." before pointing up at the ceiling and continuing "And I'm not sure how but my pants and hat ended up hanging up on the ceiling fan."

In reply she slides back into bed next to him and snuggles with him as she starts to eat out of her bowl. "Well, I want to put off figuring out how to get you an outfit to wear." She smiles at him with a sheepish expression and ponders just what the hell went down while they were drunk. She is aware of some of the outcome, but certainly that lost evening has enough evidence staring back at them. "This is rather nice, though we should probably consider what we should do next now that we have literally screwed around and have been found." She thinks about this and grabs her phone, skimming for messages with one hand while eating with chopsticks with the other. "I might have an idea or two ... what size do you wear?"
XXXXX Tanji lets out a big hardy laugh at Tora's reply to him pointing out the state of their clothes. "Neither of those two brought up any issue, so what's there to consider?" Tanji thinks after Tora brings up concerns about having been discovered screwing around, but doesn't voice that thought as he had already started eating the breakfast. A bit into the meal Tora asks Tanji what size clothes he wears, Tanji then responds with "Um let me check the tags." after washing down what food he had in his mouth with a big chug of coffee. Tanji then stands up on top of the bed and grabs his hat and pants off of the ceiling fan, and then hands his pants to Tora so that she can see the tag while saying "That's my pants size." After that Tanji then starts digging through the pile of tattered cloth to see if the tags for his shirt and underwear survived.

Tora helps Tanji sort through the rags that were once clothes. "Yeesh, did a number on your poor shirt. I am shocked your hakama turned out alright." She finds a few tags and holds up the scrap of cloth it is attached to, "I think this was yours. Underwear of some kind I guess based on the fabric it is stamped into." She takes notes of the sizes and starts plugging them in. "Hang on a moment." She pulls some clothes out of her dresser and gets dressed. A t-shirt and skirt with undergarments, of course, and slips out of the room for a few minutes. The sound of a young man laughing followed by Tora squawking, "It's not THAT funny! Come on." Quieter talking can likely be heard, but whether or not Tanji could understand it remains to be seen. Tora reenters the room after a few minutes and hands him a clean fundoshi. "Sorry, I know they're not boxers or briefs, but it was all that Kyosei and Hikari had available in the laundry that was being folded. I asked Hikari to run out and find you a shirt that will fit you. The temperature outside is a bit too cool to go around topless, but nice enough for short sleeves." She sighs as she looks at the mess. "I made the three promise me that they'll be discreet about this situation until we make ourselves officially open about our relationship. I don't know about you, but I don't want the division to think that I am trying to use you or anything ... maybe I am just being paranoid, but there's plenty of people who would report rumors as facts and that is bad for somebody in the nobility. I certainly do not want it to cause you problems either." She hugs him tightly and wonders how all of this will play out. "My family is still recovering from the blood bath and political fall out from the Ellarose vs Hi Clan. We might not have been the aggressors, but the fact of the matter is that the Ellarose who killed half of my family still have supporters in the aristocracy. While my best friend is Bella, she is also an Ellarose - something that we had been able to cover for by using alternative last names. The attack on her the other day only makes things worse. We were just this close to brokering a truce between the families, if not a total peace." She sighs bitterly and looks up at him. "Maybe if I seemed uncertain before and possibly upset, it really was to do with all of this. I so badly wanted this peace to work out so that Bella and I could be more open about our friendship. Well, there is no hiding it now. I have already informed the de facto head of their family that I fully intend on making sure that we bring the culprit to justice. I also admitted to our friendship. I hope that I did the right thing." She pauses and takes a seat on the bench at the foot of her bed while looking thoughtful. "I guess at this point it should be said that my father has opted to involve himself by withdrawing all those who serve the clan and lesser members from service in the Seireitei - including those who swore in as shinigami. He even put a bug in the ear of division six about it, much to my chagrin, but I understand why ... he wants to eliminate any possibility that my clan has any involvement ..." She frowns as she furrows her brow and stares at her knees. "The reason the house was empty and the fridge was bare is clear to me that those three spent the past few days being interrogated. I blame myself for not getting this solved first. I have to make it up to everybody for not being able to do it."
XXXXX After she helps Tanji sort through the pile of torn cloth to find the tags for his clothes, Tora gets dressed in a t-shirt and skirt and leaves the room to ask her retainers if they have any clothes that fit him. While she is gone Tanji puts his pants and hat on. When Tora gets back she hands Tanji a fundoshi, and says it's the only thing that wasn't in the unfolded laundry. "Thanks, but I think I'll just grab one of my spare pairs of underwear from my office rater then wearing this." Tanji responds as he sets the fundoshi aside. Tora then informs Tanji that she told her retainers to be discreet about their relationship so that the rumor mill doesn't run with it and cause problems before hugging Tanji and transitioning into a long bout of exposition before Tanji has a chance to respond to the information that her retainers were told to keep their relationship discreet. After Tora's expositing is finished Tanji lifts her up, squeezes her in another hug, and starts petting her as he says "Hay cheer up I'm sure we can handle this. If we can get straight to work on this case when we get back to my office, I'm confident we will have the guy responsible behind bars before lunch."

Tora smiles at him and gives him a hug. Such a good boyfriend. So sweet to comfort her like this. More over, it does her heart good to hear him encourage her and include her in his declaration of solving this crime. "I'm glad to hear that." She stands up on her tip toes to give him a kiss. Her tail flicks around mischievously and she playfully pets his abs. "I think he'll be back with a shirt for you soon." Despite her words, it is clear that she is thinking of other things. "Maybe we can shoe horn in another date after this whole sordid thing is over." She ponders if this is why Bella is so man hungry. Certainly she can understand why she enjoys it as much as she does. However, even now, she cannot view herself with anybody other than Tanji. Her heart has decided that he is the only one for her for as long as he will have her - which she hopes will remain permanent.
XXXXX Tanji's attempt to cheer up Tora seems successful, sense it causes her to light up with a smile, kiss him, and exclaim she's glad to hear what he said before proceeding to pet his abs and playfully say her retainer should be back with a shirt soon. Then, as she looks like she has something lewd on her mind, she asks Tanji if the the two of them can go on another date after they deal with the case. "That sounds like a great idea, … although we might want to go a little lighter on the sake next time unless we want to have some spare clothes set aside and are fine with destroying another set of clothes." Tanji responds, transitioning to a joking tone after the small pause.

Tora blushes but also laughs at his joke. "Maybe so. Or ...." she trails off playfully, "We could ... take care of that part first and then get to the fun stuff." She doesn't get much time to really tease like that when there is a knock on the door frame of her room. "Lady Takara," Kuroyuri addresses her, "Kyosei got called for another interview with sixth division. They said he should be done by evening." Kuroyuri's characteristically steady and bold tone is tempered by a hint of concern. "I just wanted to let you know."Her foot steps then fade down the hall leaving Tora with a concerned expression. "You know ... I am certain if they're still trying to find somebody who knows something and they're reinterviewing ... then that tells me that Kanda is not on the job." She frowns and sits back on her couch and tucks her legs up beside her as she wrings her tail absentmindedly. "Does this mean that they are even interviewing Kanda?" she mutters with a furrowed brow with a slight frown on her face as she thinks this over. As soon as she voices this she shakes her head no. "No ... Kanda is the most impartial person I know and if that dragon in woman form was on this case, there is no way that they would have been back here if she considered them suspects. That said ... maybe I should see if I can get information out of her for the divisions. She is third seat of sixth. Terrifying as she is to those she is ... erm ... 'interrogating' ... she is probably the most reasonable person to ask for some cooperation between the divisions. Then again ... given her ties to my clan, she might have been ordered to sit this one out. Damn it, Tanji, as much as I respect the other divisions, particularly our sister division, I just do not like the feeling that I am getting. Like why is it taking so long for Hikari to come back?" The look on her face definitely tells her that the wheels are turning. "If she was asked to sit out, it wasn't by my father, because he knew I was involving myself and he didn't ask me to sit it out ... then ... No, I am over thinking this again." She hops down off of the couch and sits at her desk, sliding over on the large cushion and patting it for Tanji with a smile. "Maybe we can at least start thinking this over together. Obviously I am letting my emotions cloud my thoughts too much. If that is alright with you."
XXXXX Tanji follows Tora over to her desk after she finishes voicing her concerns about the case. "Yeh sounds like you are thinking about the politics behind the case more then the case itself, and, while I don't know politics, I do know how to work cases and can say that if you are thinking about things other then the case you can very esily miss important things. So, forget the politics behind the investigation until there is evidence it needs to be looked into and start from the beginning of the evidence trail." Tanji responds, patting Tora on the head.

Tora tucks her legs under her to make room for him. By this point in her life she is used to sitting seiza, particularly on a cushion. She pulls some paper out of her desk and a pair of pens. "Alright, here's what is known about the case. There had been a falling out between her and a superior who is only one seat above her, which caused her to leave work in the middle of the day." She starts drawing the time line. "Witnesses place her with a young man from Division Eleven - I think we can probably ask Kuroyuri if she recognizes his description. She then was later seen darting out of the bathhouse looking quite upset about something. So, I think we can also ask the staff there if they know what that is about. Bella told me that she had hooked up with Hikari, despite the fact that they've been broken up for the past year. You know the kind of relationship - hot, passionate, moth to the flame type. They're terrible for each other if you ask me, but they keep meeting back up every few months and act like nobody knows what they're up to - though I know because Bella tells me everything. Hikari admits that both were pretty drunk that night and they parted ways outside of a love hotel by the name of Cupid's." She flips through her personal notepad with notes she had gathered. "Now, we do not have any witnesses for where she went next, but she had reported that she had been to the love hotel, then passed through a graveyard and waking up injured and sick there, and finally collapsed in the Tenth Division Head Quarters." She frowns as she thinks about the medical report and what Yorokobi had said. "The medical report is back at the office, but what I do know about it is that she had been poisoned with something akin to MDMA and savagely stabbed and assaulted - though the details of which were not spoken about considering that her cousin and closest relative was with me at the time. The report will have a lot more details, but I suspect that based on her clothing and the drug that was used, it was nothing pleasant." She frowns as she lists known facts. "Division Twelve's analysis verified that there was dirt consistent with the graveyard soil on her clothing. The poison was most likely not intended to actually kill or make her sick, but that was likely just a bad reaction given that the attempt to stab her to death with approximately forty two individual stab marks. The stabs were made by somebody who has a basic idea of how to use a blade, but has no real practice with it." She begins to rub the bridge of her nose as she thinks this over. "Which I think means that Hikari, that eleventh division member, or possibly a third person were involved. Hikari is, despite acting like a dolt, quite skilled with the knife and trust me, nobody who can butcher a boar with clean cuts could do such careless work. Besides which, around the time of the attack Ikasu says that he was chewing Hikari out for shirking his duties at home and screwing around with the local girls." She sighs and rubs her temples. A look of frustration as she tries to recall the facts through a hang over that could kill a cow. "I think we need to visit that graveyard for a closer inspection. That's at least, my opinion, I hope you can give me some guidance."
XXXXX After Tora verbally lays out a timeline of the case's known events, (even pulling out a pen and some paper from her desk to draw up said timeline as she talks Tanji through it), and saying she thinks they should visit the graveyard for a close inspection, Tanji responds with "Checking the graveyard defiantly seems like a good place to start. We could even make a quick dip into my office to grab some of my spare clothes, Hanaki, and the evidence we left there. Then after that, we can read over the medical report on the way to the graveyard." as he sits besides Tora and pets her repeatedly.
