Caliban gruffly encouraged his young new... acquaintances to follow, but he darted on ahead to the cave. He took a few cautious steps into the darkness before deciding the faint lights of Pokémon farther ahead would not be enough for him to navigate by. The Leafeon closed his eyes to concentrate. A small, glowing orb flashed into existence before him, sheltering in the curl of the leaf that grew from his forehead. Its light fanned out ahead, more than enough for Caliban to see where he was going. Just a few steps on, a faint glow caught his eye. A bioluminescent Pokémon? No, just a cluster of strange mushrooms. He sniffed at them suspiciously. Bizarre, but perhaps he should take one just in case. The Leafeon spat a glob of milky sap onto his own shoulder, then yanked a mushroom from the ground with his teeth and stuck it in place. Caliban glanced back to see if the others were following. He was surprised to realize he was somewhat concerned for the younger Pokémon, even the hothead. ((Mushroom mushroom!))

The Skitty had carried on into the cave and was doing fine, darkness didn't bother her, but as she was wishing to carry on after the others she thought she saw something out the corner of her eye and decided to see what it was and so she went off the path everyone else was walking on and followed another path, hoping to find what that thing was that she saw but as she reached the end she had to stop as it was a dead end which sucked, oh well, guess whatever it was, IF it was anything, wasn't important so she wandered back to where she came from and ran towards the group so she didn't lose them.

Rei accompanied Chi down one path, but it soon turned out to end in bare rock. "Not that way indeed. Let's try a different one." He looked around for a likely path, then set off in a different direction. Unfortunately, he only stubbed his toe again. He hopped back and shook his foot, grumbling to himself. "I really need to watch where I'm going..."

Chi looked at him. 'I suppose we have to keep stumbling about. Until we find our way?' she asked. She picked the way they went again yet came to another dead end. She growled at the cave wall.

"Looks like it," Rei answered. "Since we don't know where we're going, and our guide has lost the way." This time he tried looking around a bit before setting off, trying to see if he could find any hint as to what might be the right way. Unfortunately he saw nothing identifiable and ended up picking a direction at random. The tunnel he headed down quickly ended at a solid wall again, so he had to turn around.

Jax held back her snickers at the over-confident Gengar having found a dead end. 'Nice going, king of the dark' she thought to herself. She sighed and dimmed her glow a bit, searching for another route. As she started down another route, something dark flew into her face. "AH!" She shrieked and stumbled back, wide eyed. "What the heck was that?!" She shouted, looking around alertly. "Show yourself you sneaky rat!" She shouted into the darkness.

((Sorry for being away so much! DX Quick catch up.)) Tybalt yelped, knocked of his feet by Gliese's blast. Ground + Water = ow. He eventually groaned and heaved his dripping self up. Streams arcked off of his stingy cheek fur when he shook his head to clear it. The bug (itch itch) had led the group that way, he recalled. With a wet sneeze, he began to track the party, soon arriving at a dark cave. He faced the gloomy cave mouth, and considered. It was darker than the lair at home. His fire was still dampened - he could still produce nothing but steam and a few sparks, so for now his eyes and nose would have to lead him on. He wasn't going to fail the mission over a surprise bath. After a time, the trails became muddled, crossing over eachother may times, and Tybalt could hear the other pokemon nearby, whispers and footfalls carried oddly by the cave walls. He listened - still soggy and sore, recon was safer. He'd attempted flame again, a cloak of it - Flame Wheel interupted at the first step, and maintained, but but only managed a slight glow around his forequarters. At least part of him would dry out. Maybe. Tybalt discerned a similarly faint glow ahead. Was it one of the pilgrims? He wasn't up for another confrontation yet. He guttered his own light, and approached the other cautiously, trying to remain undetected. Qixel 10: What's that?! You see a dim glow in front of you. [Quote Qixel if you roll a 10.]

Barneby flinched only lightly from the pat, but hesitantly peeked up at the encouraging Gengar, eyes shimmering slightly with what may be tears threatening the poor dears gaze. He seemed so confident... and even excited about the cave! Well... maybe if something did happen, he would be the Pokemon to go to for help.
Slowly, he kept inching along, the suctions on his petite feet making quieter sound as he stepped as lightly as possible. Thankfully, the others who could create light were stepping up to the plate and lighting the dark way, making it less intimidating to the weak Caterpie. Still.. he'd peek over his shoulder any chance he got.
With the dead end discovered, the bugs nerves riled back up again. Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea after all! But Jax's yelp made him jump again, and bump against Domo in a natural reaction to hide behind what ever was closest. Antenna quivering like crazy, tiny heart rapping rapidly, he stared wide eyed at Jax, concern slowly dawning as he realized what'd happened, "a-a-a...ar..re you a--alright..?" he stuttered, tripping over his tongue numerous times.
Peeking to where the ghost had ventured off to, his head lowered closer to the ground. This... seemed like a lost cause. And just after another one of Jax's screeches, he was distracted by the sound of... something ominous coming from another path. Staring down it, his face paled, small body tense.
What....what had that been...?

This time Domo couldn't hold in his laughter.
"Hahahahaaaaa," He coughed a bit before recovering and wiping his eyes. "Ah, I love caves. You okay there? Let us go this way then, da?"
He started walking in another direction, careful to look out for whatever had flew past Jax. He squinted when he could make out a faint glow in front of him. That wasn't Jax's light, what was it?

The glowing things you noticed began to move. Once they were close enough, you could discern they were actually paras.   Maybe you should try to convince them to come with you? Glowy Shroom Paras Sighting Rules! Alright, so you guys stumbled on both of these really fast. xD So here's what we'll do. Post this if you want to try for the green shroomed paras: [size=24][color=green][b]I want to befriend that paras![/b][/color][/size] Post this if you want to try for the blue shroomed paras: [size=24][color=blue][b]I want to befriend that paras![/b][/color][/size] You can only win one, though, so if you're trying for both, post them in the order you prefer. Also, these paras like the taste of suspicious glowing mushrooms! Maybe if you offer one, they'll be inclined to join you. [If you have a suspicious glowing mushroom, and you want to give it to the paras of your choosing, add a note that you are offering the shroom and you will recieve an extra raffle ticket. If you win, you'll lose the shroom and be able to get more in the cave, but if you lose, you'll keep it. It may come in handy later, after all.] This raffle will last for 24 hours, during which you may continue to roll in hopes of getting suspicious glowing mushrooms - as someone who likes to screw the rules myself, I'll pre-emptively allow it. xD However, you MUST make a post containing any of the codes BEFORE the 24 hours are up if you want to win a paras. Jax nodded to Barneby. "Yeah, I'm OK. Thanks" She shook off the slight fright and continued on, glaring slightly at Domovoy. Stopping when they heard the shuffling up ahead, she looked warily down the passage, trying to spot what was making the noise. "Hm...stay close, Barneby." She said. When they came to a different passage with light, she dimmed her glow. "What in the..." Could that be the way out? She sighed as they had hit another dead end, only this one had a couple Paras scuttling about at it. "Darn it!"

((HOLY CRAP I'M BEHIND D= I'm sorry that I haven't posted much))Goliath after being spooked by Caliban outside the cave because he didn't realize any one other than the growlithe he yelled at was in the immediate area, decided to follow the only thing giving off light as the others were further up ahead which meant he was stuck with the leafeon with the glowing orb if he wanted to see. Goli wasn't too sure if he should talk to the leafeon he didn't even know who it was.((Mushroom spotted)) Goliath spotted a glowing light while looking around a bit. He decided that it looked harmless enough to pick up and carry on his back.

The hothead seemed to be making his own way through the cave. At least there shouldn't be much for him to set on fire in here. Caliban spared a short nod for the second Growlithe, who'd come up beside him. "Pup." He wouldn't be the one to start introductions. Finding the way out of the cave was more important now. Why had the Shaymin appointed Lain as their guide if the Masquerain didn't even know the way? The Leafeon paused as he heard a noise from somewhere within the cave. For a moment, he stood still, his green ears twitching. It was probably just another of the Pokémon they'd entered with. He kept moving.

 "HMMMMM. A PREDICAMENT FOR US BOTH, THEN. YOU SEE, I—" As customary, Thunder Rat's speech was cut off, this time by the appearance of a masquerain. It was just as well, anyway; the tentacool had begun smearing her with more slime, and she didn't want her mouth open for that!
"PLEASE, RESTRAIN YOURSELF," she managed to get out when her companion's tentacle had wandered off from her face. She rubbed her cheeks briskly, eyes on the masquerain, who'd lead them to her summoner, it seemed.
With a burst of Flash, she entered the cave, only to reach a dead end. She came back out to see the tentacool requesting aid. Drawing herself up, she valiantly offered.
"I CAN CARRY YOU, IF YOU'D LIKE," she said, bowing with practiced majesty. She was about a third of the tencool's height.

Caliban walked cautiously onward along a promising corridor until his ring of light revealed a solid wall in front of him. He snorted in annoyance before turning to retrace his steps. The Leafeon was quickly becoming tired of rocks and darkness; he sorely missed greenery and fresh air and real sunlight.
