Realizing the second ballista had made it to its proper perch, Ezekyhel gave a guttural grunt as he lifted the third ballista from its place on the ground and started its journey. He made it farther than his previous times, but his muscles were weary and the sweat on his hands made the large weapon even harder to grip.
After making it some distance, he hands it off to whatever pair of hands are quickest to grab it.

And a really big stick.

Somehow... Uru had managed to grab someone instead of something to support the gate. However, he found himself standing up at the Ramparts by the Ballistas.
"Uh... Sorry..." He muttered, looking around him dumbfounded and rather out of place. "Excuse me."

His turn again.
Ezekyhel spat on the floor before allowing the ballista to be passed onto him. His muscles writhed beneath his skin as he lifted the damned thing and made the seemingly forever-long trek to the next apprentice waiting. There was a tight grin on his face as he handed the giant metal spike over. After this much exercise, surely he would sleep for weeks...
if, that is, he made it through whatever was sure to come crawling over the castle walls.

If it was a mess inside, at least there was some order to what was going on out there. Closest to the group by the door, the giant decided to lend a hand. Or rather, a chair. The barricade still felt woefully inadequate against the horde outside, though.

In spite of a brief upset and nearly being thrown at a door, Cady managed to take yet another turn at dragging the Big Stick.
"Have you ever heard," she began, "of a game called fetch? It is where you toss a stick and then run after it! It is more fun with other people but a lot of times I ended up playing by myself and it was A Gouda Time."
The aforementioned object slid forward easily in the deceptively skinny girl's grasp.

Trying to find a torch was useless, so the young man tried to do his best to well... help? Though his idea of helping was to vault the walls and tear down the opposition, he settled for helping to barraked the door.
How Bradley thought that using a horse was a good idea no one will ever know. (Though it's said it had something to do with him blindingly grabbing for something and a horse was the closest thing.)

Scared didn't quite cut it for Piper when the crap hit the fan. Had she had her memories, her first instinct would have been to run; as it was, a shiver of unease went over her as she tried to find her way through the dark. Gods above and below, what was going on...
A lot, apparently. A bad sort of a lot. She hesitated in the midst of knights moving to and fro and was bumped along until she remembered her legs again. Feeling for the wall, Piper crept out to the ramparts where the rest were and took in the action with wide eyes.
Okay. No spectating this time. She cracked her knuckles.
