King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Earle paused and looked at Aldrich, raising an amused eyebrow at him. " Why would you want to dine with me? I'm sure a man of your stature would already have reservations with someone." he mused. It wasn't like he was complaining. He'd be eating alone if the invitation hadn't been extended. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt " Most of my time here is spent with my son," shrugged Aldrich, setting down the laptop and starting for the bedroom to get changed into something a little less teacher-y and a little more relaxed-fit. " Besides, if I didn't invite you, I'd end up eating alone here. I hate doing that. I'll be right out." Aldrich changed quickly into a navy blue suit with a white button-up, opting not to grab a tie and leaving the first three buttons undone. He ran a hand through his hair, spritzed on fresh cologne, then walked out and shrugged better into his jacket. " Much better. I hate those stuffy suits I have to wear all day." He gestured to the door. " Shall we?"

King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Even if he had objections to their dining out, Earle noted, Aldrich seemed intent on going with him. Strangely, it didn't bother him as much as it normally would. Perhaps it was because he had eaten alone for far too long that company would be a breath of fresh air. Once the man returned in an entirely new outfit, the king eyed him up and down to get a full look at the new attire. He hardly thought a change into something so frivolous was necessary for mere food, but he would keep his mouth quiet. " Is there any place you have in mind?" he asked as he moved towards the door. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt Aldrich grabbed his keys, clearly having an idea for where to go. " I always have a table reserved at a local French restaurant, and there's an upscale one not too far down the way. I'll drive." He clicked his tongue against his teeth, dismissing the chauffeur who stood outside the door, waiting to take Aldrich to dinner at this time like he did every day. " Our usual on Sunday nights," he instructed the man, who nodded and turned on his heel to ready the car.

Mayah Playah Wanna post there first or me? King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━As Earle stood besides Aldrich to await the car, he dug his hands into his pockets. He didn't have much against the French or their cuisine, but whenever he'd see someone eating frogs' legs he'd get queasy. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case now that he explained to Aldrich just who he was. More time passed in a peculiar silence until a thought finally occurred to the king. " Oh, I see now." he chuckled to himself then gave the host a knowing smile. " I'm your replacement for your son. You must spend a lot of time with him to need company when he can't come." he almost taunted. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt He shook his head. " Not at all, most of the time I spend with my son is indoors. He doesn't like going out unless it's with that Reed fellow. I do, however, have a weekly ritual on Sundays. I go to the operahouse, see whatever they have there, like the opera or an orchestra concert, then go out to dinner afterwards. Unfortunately, before I could get ready to go to the opera, I ran into you and ended up missing it entirely. Too bad, really. They're performing Turandot this season." He shrugged, then moved to lock his front door before walking down the hall to the elevator. " Alan didn't spend a lot of time with me when I first came to town. He's just barely started introducing me to his friends."

King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━" Hmm. It's been far too long since I've indulged myself in those kinds of pleasures." Earle noted as he stood in his corner of the elevator. How long exactly has it been? It hadn't been as long as he thought, since he had free time as he waited for his grandson to become human again (after the fortieth year he was convinced Balthazar would never become human again). Although there were plenty of times he chose not to go because Heinrich would not go with him. Sometimes he had to convince the butler that it was a matter of keeping rogues and assassins away in order to get him to budge. Still, the times he spent listening to music and watching plays were all good, and he'd by lying if he said he didn't miss them. " Let me take you to the next one then. My treat." the king offered. " I should see one anyway, it's been too long." The elevator doors closed and the small room shuddered briefly before giving the king that unsettling descending feeling. There was some music playing to distract from that and the silence, but it wasn't working. " You spoke so highly of your son that I thought you two were practically joined at the hip." Earle said after some time. He glanced at Aldrich to see his expression. " Is that not the case?" ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Awesome nerd 1 - You do it // 2 - I do it Aldrich Brandt Aldrich stared forward, knowing that this question would come, but not expecting it this soon. He lowered his gaze to the floor before he spoke, hands tucked away in his pockets. " No, it's not," he answered quietly. The humming of the elevator descending almost drowned out his words. " Alan acted like he hated me until I got shot. It was very... Well, it wasn't a good feeling. He hates his mother more, at least." He shrugged, then looked up to the former king. " Anyway, let's not speak of it. They'll still be performing Turandot until tomorrow evening. Why don't we catch that one together?" he suggested, trying to get past the conversation about his son.

King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━It was an hour til dinnertime that a knock came at Aldrich's doors. Standing at the doorway was Earle, a proud, yet sinister, smile on his face. He had done it. He got rid of that foolish man by turning him into a frog. Aldrich's boy would never figure out the trick to breaking the spell, if he ever even finds out that his lover has become a frog, that is. Yes, it was the perfect plan, and it felt great to use his powers like this again! Now Aldrich could help him perfect his plans on winning his beloved back from the evil clutches of that damned Haneul! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt The door swung open to reveal a flustered and irritated Aldrich, suit jacket tossed over the back of the couch and shirt buttoned incorrectly, not even tucked in. His tie was draped around his neck, and his hair was a mess. " What have you done?" he hissed to the king before raising his phone back to his ear, nodding and stepping away from the door. " I know, Alan, I heard you. I'll do whatever i can to find out who turned Reed into a frog. Just stay out of trouble and keep safe. Daddy loves you, Picnin." He hung up, tossing the phone onto the couch. " I was sleeping peacefully at Jean-Luc's, when Alan calls me in a fit. Seems like someone turned his precious lover into a frog and he just barely managed to come up with a way to turn him back into a human. Now he's furious and demands that i find the person responsible and make them pay."

King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━The proud smile on Earle's face immediately fell when he heard the situation. " What?" he hissed. Impossible! How could a snobby brat like him figure out a way to break his curse? Damn. He should've added amnesia to the formula, that way Aldrich's child wouldn't even know what to do. Nevertheless, the fact remained that Earle's plan had failed. In less than a day. What an insult to a great sorcerer like him. Sighing, he ran his fingers through the hair that was as black as his soul, a frustrated look on his face. " I'm the Frog King, what do you expect?" he replied harshly. " You wanted that man out of the way without him dying, so I turned him into a frog. I have no idea how your son could figure out the way to break the curse so soon. Only True Love's kiss can break it and-" The king stopped. True love's kiss... Did that mean...? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt " True Love's- WHAT?" Aldrich collapsed onto the armchair, holding a hand up to his head and trying not to allow a headache to grow. " Sh-t, they're each other's True Love. Why didn't I think of that?" He threw his hands up in the air. " What the hell am I supposed to do now? Now he's never going to leave him! He's practically married to him now!"

King Earle "Long live the king."━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━" You're insulting me, you know." Earle pointed out as he walked over to Aldrich's side. He held his hands out to let some of his power swirl around them, only visible in a hint of dark blue. " You're talking to a sorcerer; a god! I can give one of them amnesia. Or both. Or I could, you know, kill the musical one." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Aldrich Brandt He shook his head, ignoring the display of power. " I want them split up, I don't want Alan devastated." Standing, he walked over tot he fireplace, looking at the pictures on the mantle. " Just leave them. If it's true love, then I won't contest it. I care too much about Alan to force him to be miserable because I don't approve of his choices. I'll find a different way for you to repay me, Earle."
