Al straightened to his full height at the announcement, pondering distantly if perhaps the 'blonde kid' had been Otto. In any case, it sounded as though they were in need of help. He nodded at Noah in agreement before making his way over to the nearest directory sign. He pondered it a moment, and Nuru readily memorized it. Nuru proudly proclaimed that he was good with maps in Al's mind. Al hoped that he wasn't full of bollocks.
"This way," Al began running in a predetermined direction.

Noah was not good with maps. It was a good thing Al seemed to know where he was going. Noah followed, and hoped they were going in the right direction. Nothing jumped out at them immediately as they made their way across to the near wing of the mall; as they slowed down approaching the entrance of the store, Noah scanned the racks and counters visible inside for movement.
Should he call out? If they were in the wrong place, they could be walking into an ambush, wasting time, or both. But making noise might draw zombies to where they were. Then again, there were two of them. "Anybody in there?" he called into the store as they headed inside. But not too loud.

It wasn't really difficult for anybody to sneak up on him, really. All he could see were people on his left or directly in front of him. And so, hearing a voice approaching on his right from behind was, as always, a bit jarring, but to his credit he didn't flinch or frown, just swiveled his head to give the Sun a cold smile. "Good afternoon, sweet cheeks. Why, yes, I was considering i--" He began, when another voice called out to him, and his attention was diverted towards Molly, who received a light, dismissive wave in return without him actually answering her question about breakfast at all. And back to Peyton. "Come on, lets get out there and get this over with." He assumed she would be accompanying him, after all. When he turned towards the mall, however, he caught a look from another man nearby. Giving Milo a smirk as he summoned his weapon, he called out to him. "Welcome to join us if you want~" A little too nicely, before nodding towards Peyton to indicate that she should take the lead on this. "We shouldn't hurt people!" Mikael wailed, even as he raised his gun for another shot.
his weapon barked and it startled him enough to fire properly. This time the thunk of the bullet connecting was harder and meatier. He cringed.
"We are in here!" he called to the unseen voice. "HELP."

"It's not a person anymore - look at it!" The thing stumbled as Mikael's shot connected, letting go of Horace. Its nails left red lines on his skin. Gross. Grunting. Horace shoved a rolling rack forward into the thing.
"Yeah, we're in here, further back!" He hoped no infected knew how to talk..........

Hearing an unfamiliar voice call back for help, Al looked at Noah uncertainly before shrugging off his suspicions. He had Noah, if it was a trap - they could handle it. He charged in, Nuru held ahead of him, ready to hit whatever may greet them.
It was then he heard Horace's voice, a bit of reassurance before finally seeing them fighting a... what the ******** is that thing?! He was expecting like, movie zombies - they were inaccurate, he silently noted.

Zombies in a shopping mall was a classic horror movie scenario. That didn't mean it wasn't also a serious mission and a serious threat, especially when the call had gone out for any available hunters to help clean up. Jordan had stopped back by his room only long enough to collect his bag before heading for the lighthouse. Through the portal, there was a small base camp; Jordan made a brief note of where it was, took a moment to study the map to get his bearings, and then headed purposefully deeper into the mall.
There were occasional groans and rustlings from within the hallways and stores but as he moved down the wide hallway, he could hear what sounded like a fight ahead. Rounding a corner, he found two hunters facing off against a shambling figure, slow but apparently still dangerous. He circled around the edge of the fight, ducking around a bench, and waited for a good opening to get a shot at the zombie.
He took a breath as he summoned Ferros and swung the huge hammer back in a smooth arc, about to call out to Shu and Ace to let them know he was coming in to help. Unfortunately, he had neglected to note the planter with a medium-sized decorative tree, right in the way of his backswing. Ferros's pointed finial caught and stuck in the wood, and Jordan's swing halted with a jolt. He muttered a curse under his breath and yanked the weapon loose, but his moment had been interrupted.

Delicate little fingers lifted to offer a light wiggle towards Finn as he turned to face her, and she matched that cold smile with one of her own, though her's was considerably warmer. The Moon was an a**, but she liked him despite that, or in spite of that. She wasn't really sure, but it made little difference in the end. Affection was affection. There was a short pause as Molly passed, and Peyton watched the little wave from Finn before his attention settled more fully on her again. His assumption was correct, if he wanted her as a partner on this little mission, she'd accompany him gladly. They'd worked well together in the past, as opponents and allies. Barring any unforeseen difficulties, this should be a breeze. Milo's hail earned him a grin in return as the daintier Sun moved up to Finn's side as they started heading into the mall itself, runes flashing briefly as she summoned her daggers. "So where are you thinking, eh?" A tilt of her head as she looked around them, eyes peeled for a target, but also for a map. No telling how large the mall itself was, and though they were a pendant portal away from returning home, it would probably be a good idea to get some lay of the land, just so they didn't find themselves backed into a corner. The first voice that called back was unfamiliar, and Noah shrugged in response to Al's uncertain look. "The blond one?" he guessed. "Anyway there's someone in there." Even if it wasn't the people they were planning on helping, it was someone. He followed Al into the store, half-expecting a zombie to jump on his back at any moment.
They made it to where the other two were without further incident. Yet. The zombie didn't look anything like any zombie Noah had ever seen, though, and he stopped for a moment, clutching Laz's handle. Was it burned? Its eyes were a weird glowing green, and it seemed to have too many eyes. What did that? It didn't have to make sense, he reminded himself, and scooted closer, determined.
As he moved in to swing Laz at the thing, he caught a noseful of a stench rolling off it. He choked and reeled back. Was it rotten, or burned, or was that something else?

"It's not me." Dakota added, looking at Molly with an eyebrow raised. "I'm not the only native american on the Island you know." There was...probably plenty of them around.
Like Quinn. He could think of Quinn. That was about it.
"Here we go." Something came clambering towards them, so Dakota moved to intercept. He expect Molly to follow right after.
"Watch the walls with your weapon."
