Radiant Anon Solsi Sammy blinked her eyes open and looked up at him mid-dip, a surprised gleam twinkling in them. "I just...thought I saw something beautiful." she murmured, pulled upright again.OOC: Ran out of money for her skates. But I have an idea I think should work. "Something beautiful?"
His brow raised, but only slightly.
"Care to expand upon that, Sammy my dear?"
The song was coming to an end and he briefly wondered what might come on next.

Sammy shook her head as much as she could without losing a beat in her stepping. "No, not really. Eheheh." She cleared her throat and took a breath, relaxing her shoulders as in the distance the sound from the speakers softened, easing the melody away.OOC: >x>

Sammy's feet stopped moving when he stilled, hand moving to hold his shoulder from his neck. "I can keep going, if you can." she teased, trying to get a smile out of him.OOC: It's my stubborn face. Well, more like my old-habits-die-hard face. I have difficulty asking for assistance.
Who's Tobias dressed as today? ^^

His brow raised at her first statement, but he nodded at her second. A new song started and he began a slow turn around the dance floor.
"I figure we can keep things easy for this one too. Simply enjoy the dance."

Very well. I'm pretty much just having them slow dance for the moment. Lesson are for later, this is just for fun out in public. ))

He glanced nervously at the couple again, then leaned in close to whisper in Rae's ear,
"I think you know. It's sudden, but I think I'm in love, Rae."
Charlie tried to make her understand the urgency of what he was feeling by staring into her eyes, nothing but earnestness written on his face,
"But I think they are too. With someone else. I've gotta try before it's too late, you know? No regrets."
"Well, I guess I can understand that.." she trailed off, uncertain of how to respond. In love? That was rather precious, but there was the matter of who he was in love with. She'd probably find out soon anyway.
"Have you told this person you're in love with them? Is it someone in this room? Even if nothing comes of it, you should still try to explore those feelings." That was as good as it was going to get as far as giving him advice went. It was all up to Charlie whether he wanted to go for it or not, she could only encourage him from the sidelines.

She never thought to question exactly what it was that they were doing now then, but merely resigned his wisdom, understanding it a little better now, somehow. "Yet other things are not so different. The night sky often makes me feel closer to my old home. Different beings can nearly always surprise you in some way, and being a good dancer is always a plus."OOC: I did. Thank you google~

All righty, that works. I can start pulling my weight for songs then, heh. Though it wasn't a lesson per say, this was done in so much as to make sure she would be comfortable dancing with him. Giving her gentle presses into spins, a dip for this song as well, all done to find out how she went along with his lead. This way, he better knew how receptive she would be to being taught a dance. Yet, even from the first dance at his place, it had been fairly easy to tell she would have little trouble picking things up.
"Is talking still too difficult during the dance? You seem to have no trouble following my lead, that bodes well for teaching."
As the song ended, he gave her one last turn and bowed his head to her.
"It truly is a pleasure dancing with you. Still up for more?"

Sammy pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and took a breath as the song came to an end. "I think I might need a minute to catch my breath." She pointed over to the table along the wall. "Think I'll go grab some punch. Be right back." She skipped off, moving through the sea of people to approach the refreshments. Running the back of her hand across her forehead she took another breath and let it out in a quick sigh. Taking a cup and a ladle she poured herself a glass, turned, and leaned on the table as she watched the other dancers. Just as she was about to take a sip, the music changed into one of her favorite songs, something she recognized right away. "Whoops, bad timing." she mumbled to herself, forgiving it right after. She took a sip and watched the specks of light move around the dim room from the spin of the mirror ball. The crowd thickened and thinned in places, everyone seeming to have a good time. For a moment she could see Tobias out there and she blushed a little, trying to ignore the overlay of the lyrics while watching him. As people moved in to block her path, another window opened up where she could see Rae and Charming dancing together. She smiled, about to wave, but that too disappeared rather quickly.OOC: Please excuse the kawaii moment here.
Seems like every dance needs one of these types of scenes for some reason lol.

Tobias nodded, watching her go. When the next song came on, he found the beat easy enough to work with. This time though, he used steps to simply move himself out of the way and off to the edge. This really wasn't a song he was familiar with and he preferred something familiar if he was going to dance alone.
He couldn't help a smile seeing Rae and Charming dancing together. Tobias wasn't sure when either had arrived, but what sort of friend would he be not to ask for at least one dance? However, he'd wait for the pair to finish.
Still having some of the song left, he moved off the dance area and got in a quick stretch of his arms. Punch might not be a bad idea actually, so he made his way over to the table.
((Not a problem, it's good to have more of a mix of things. ))

I got a few ideas in the chamber if they wouldn't be too disruptive. As he got closer to the table, he could see Sammy clearly. He couldn't help a chuckle. Seemed she knew the song and was possibly singing along. It was hard to tell as he wasn't close enough yet. Once he was, he tried not to disturb her moment as he got punch. Yet, he couldn't seem to help a comment.
"Enjoying yourself?"
((Yes, and I don't mind if you want to toss something out there. I do think at some point Charming is trying to get a dance in. ))

A sound rose above the music. Turning her head she spotted Tobias standing beside her now. She was amazed at his stealth, but then, he always seemed to move with a light step. "Oh hey. Long time no see." she joked with a smile. She stared down at her reflection shining in the punch. "I am. Very much so. How about you?"OOC: Cool. Kinda hard to walk that line, wanting things to be a surprise but not wanting to bother anyone...ah, writing.
