Sighing, Kail scowled, scratching his head. It didn't look like there were really any wild pokemon nearby to battle. He glanced back at his chittering pokemon, frowning. This was one of those time when he wished he had one of his psychic pokemon with him. Sure, he had Conglomerate, but even if he did decide to let him out agian, it was pretty clear that he wouldn't be strong enough to allow for telepathic understanding of what the pokemon were saying. He was curious what they were all chittering about, though.. but, he would just have to wait. Either until that Fennekin reached it's third stage of evolution, or untl Con got stronger... or until he managed to retrieve one of his pokemon from the Imperium... Until then, he would just have to stay oblivious.
'Oooohhhh~ You're so cuuuuuttee~' Lilligant cooed, hands clasped together as s/he looked down at the little Fennekin. 'H-huh?' the fire type chirruped in confusion, scrunching up his face. 'Hi-ya! Don't mind her-a! She's just-a fan-a of your colors-a!' Mareep piped in, wiggling her tail about happily. The Fennekin looked uncertain, shifting his paws against the ground and glancing among them all. '-grumblegrumblegrumble-' Oshawott crossed his arms over his chest, staring down at the ground with his cheeks puffed out.
'Did you-a say something Shiya?' Mareep asked, bounding over to poke the water pokemon with her muzzle. 'M-my name's not Shiya!' Oshawott quickly retorted, trying to swat the electric type back, flustered. She blinked, tipping her head to the side. Fennekin's ear twitched, and he glanced up, sweat dropping as Lilligant continued crooning over him.

After a necessary detour back to the pokemon lab, Apollo wandered back outside. It was about time they left, right? Tony had to go to Johto, and he had to Sinnoh; all he had to do was find his companion and they could leave. It wouldn't be too hard, right? But of course, when he went to search for the moody male all that came up were a few wild pokemon that instantly made themselves scarce the moment they made shaky eye contact with Sylvia. "Cowards!" the Snivy huffed in irritation and pulled her head out of the vegetation she'd followed a retreating Patrat into. Her face curled into a grimace, the cowardice of those yellow-bellied wildlife enough to make her physically ill. "..Yeaah, it's time to go." with her hands jammed onto her hips she stomped back to Apollo, an impatient glint in her eyes. "I can't stand these weak pokemon any longer."
Unfortunately, she'd never be able to make the convincing argument for a sharp bark broke through the air, breaking the attention Sylvia had previously commandeered and leaving her complaints to fall on deaf ears. An Absol appeared from thin air looking a little worse for wear, with its mattered fur tangled with leaves and twigs. Its wild appearance wasn't the only thing strange about the pokemon, Absol weren't indigenous to Unova. Which meant... it worth catching. The Disaster Pokémon shifted itself to make eye contact with Apollo, tensed up, and then... bowed its head. "What?" confused by the change of events he hesitated in withdrawing a pokeball and catching it. "First pokemon that's decided to come along with me willingly.""Clef!""..Alright, second."

Apollo decided to forgo letting out his newly caught Absol and instead continued his search for Tony, but not before returning Kahn to his pokeball-- he'd grown tired of walking. "Oi, there you are!" this search turned to be more fruitful, and he approached the other. "So, you said you needed to go to Johto? That's fine by me, as long as you're fine with going to Sinnoh right after." Syliva looked up in surprise at her trainer's word, though it was a look tinged with confusion. What was a... Sin-oh? Another place to train? "It won't take long, I just need to head on over to the lab; I'll be in and out in five minute tops."
Ceti, who found more interest in the gaggle of pokemon than the human's conversations, hopped towards the four others, but not before dragging Sylvia with her. "You're just like a Nosepass!" she insisted and giggled at the quirked eyebrow sent her way. "You're nosey!" instead of the snort of laughter she expected from her excellent pun, it was only received with a roll of the eyes, which caused Ceti to huff. "Oh, you're such a stick in the mud! That was funny, you should have laughed!" Sylvia scoffed and jerked her head in the opposite direction of her comedian of a comrade. "I've heard funnier jokes from..." her sentence cut off when she realized she didn't have a comparison to make-- she'd spent most of her life inside that laboratory after all-- but still! it was implied that she'd much funnier jokes than the one Ceti had tried to pass off.

Kail shifted and turned from watching his pokemon out of the corner of his eye to staring dead straight at Apollo as the blond approached. "You're finally ready to go?" he sneered, placing a hand on his hip as he looked back at the young man. Evidently, he was still hoping a nasty demeanor would send the musician packing... but at least the sneer quieted to a mere look of light annoyance as he actually considered what he had to say. "Sinnoh, huh... I guess that's fine, sure, whatever," he decided, scratching the back of his head, "So long as it's not Kalos. I'm going to go get on the train now."
He turned, returning his pokemon back into their pokeballs, save the Mareep and Oshawott, who he allowed to remain out. Without waiting for confirmation from Apollo, he headed over for the train station, buying himself a ticket and climbing aboard to find himself a seat. He let Mareep hop up and lay across his lap, but jerked as she released a small amount of electricity, sending his hair nearly on end, and shoved her off, glaring at her. She looked back up at him, wagging her tail, and hopped up, licking his face, and then laying across his lap again, staring with blank happiness out the window. He glowered down at her, then, after a moment, rested his arms atop her fluff, looking out the window with her as he waited for the train to leave-- oh, and for Apollo to join.

It was good to know that, even during their separation, Tony had managed to stay the bright and cheerful individual Apollo had come to know him as. "Yeah, we can go now." he refused to be baited into saying anymore and instead watched as his expression dimmed. "I've got no business in Kalos, I doubt I ever will." he didn't have much against the sixth region, in fact he only held fond memories of it, but he couldn't see himself heading for it in the near future; there just wasn't anything there for him. Though that did raise the question of why Tony didn't want to go there, but he wouldn't pry-- it wasn't as if he'd get an answer anyway.
"Alright you two." Apollo directed his words to his two pokemon, which instantly broke up whatever argument the two were having, and gestured for them to come along, "let's go." He followed after Tony, buying his own train ticket and then settling down into a seat; his across from his companions. Ceti pulled herself up into a seat and then proceeded to climb onto Apollo's shoulder: giving her a suitable view of the train and the scenery outside. Sylvia was a bit more hesitance and showed signs of unease, which she tried to bury underneath a layer of indifference. Of course she knew what a train was, but knowing something and experiencing it were two different things entirely. She moved to take a step forward, only to stumble when the cart lurched, the train starting up, and with a disgruntled glare scrambled up onto the nearest seat.

Meeting the sun once more upon stepping back outside, Shiva came to a stop, eagerly fiddling with the ball still in her hands, nearly dropping it twice before she managed to press down the little button on the ball's front, releasing a startling white light. To her surprise she dropped the ball, managing to end up with the Oshawott in her arms... upside down. "Oh-ho dear." She chuckled, holding up the little one. "This is quite the introduction. Right?" Her eyes were closed with her smile being so big, she couldn't see the confused expression on the little otter's face until she heard him fussing in her hands. It appeared the little scallop that often rested on his stomach had fallen off and landed upon the ground, just by Shiva's foot. Fearing she'd step on it sent the little on into panic. "Oh, oh, don't worry." Quickly lowering herself to the ground she rested Kuval upon the ground, on his feet.
Once he'd collected his scallop and placed it back on it's place upon his belly, the otter looked up at Shiva with a large smile. "All good?" She asked. Kuval replied with a nod. "Good. I'm Shiva by the way, I called a few days ago requesting for an Oshawott, looks like you're him." Kuval nodded, forgetting how they met. Reaching forward his little paw, Shiva took the hint and pinched it between her two for fingers and thumb, shaking his paw lightly. "Oh, and do you like being called Kuval? It's the Nickname I've given you." He didn't seem all to upset about the name, eventually nodding in approval. "Alright! So, that aside.... Let's head out? First stop Accumula." Collecting Kuval in her hands, she hugged him gently in her arms, this time right-side up. He settled nicely into her arms, and despite him being furry, Kuval had a nice cool coat, perfect for such a hot day.

As excited as she was, Shiva lost herself in a song she'd had stuck in her head for a good later half of the time on the train, it was an upbeat melody, something Shiva loved to turn up and listen to full blast when home studying or doing her morning routine. Of course she started to gain a skip in her step, slowly progressing more and more to full blow dancing. The bouncing up and down wasn't something her companion was used to. He was okay with treading water against waves but this was more like a bouncing motion instead of a rocking motion. Tapping his paw to her hand he looked up and cried out in detest. "Osh, Oshawot!" he cried over and over. It wasn't until they met with a cool breeze that Shiva stopped bouncing. The cool breeze was refreshing to say the least. She adored the cool air, and it was more then welcomed in the pre-summer heat. "Oshawott!" Kuval once more protested, hoping his voice would reach Shiva this time. Looking down she could see he was upset.
"Hmm? What's all the fuss?" She asked, smiling sweetly. All his anger for Shiva's dancing seemed to calm once he saw her adorable look of curiosity. With a huff he shook his head, and pushed at her arm. She got the hint fairly quickly when he managed to squeeze from her already loose grip and started to lead the way on land. "Leading the way? Okay." With her arms free she grabbed her headphones from around her neck and pulled them up over her ears, reaching a hand down into a small pocket of her bag to pull out a skinny rectangular box. This box was actually her Holocaster, given to her by her mother before leaving home, it contained all the necessary functions a trainer would need. Music player, online access, Pc access and of course the video chat function. "Oh right, I was suppose to call mom once I got off the train." In her excitement she'd completely forgotten. She smiled knowing her mother would understand. She'd just call when she reached Accumula. It wasn't that much longer anyway.
That was if her first battle hadn't popped it's head out from some foliage to the right of the road. Large eyes stared across the partially open field right at Kuval. Lowering her holocaster, Shiva motioned forward, but her command came to late, as Kuval took it upon himself to tackle the Patrat. The poor thing was instantly knocked out cold; sent tumbling back into the tall grass. "Er..." Shiva lowered her hand. "Kuval?" Triumpant in his victory the little otter turned to face Shiva with a wide grin over his adorable face. She couldn't get mad at that. Still... "Kuval, I'm your trainer, am I not suppose to be giving the order out?" She questioned him, walking forward to crouch down before him. An apologetic look quickly crossed by the Oshawott, a little paw reaching up to scratch the side of his head. "It's alright. Next time wait for me okay? Can I carry you again? I wont dance this time." Holding forward her hands it took a moment for Kuval to consider her offer. With a sigh he nodded and turned around, letting himself be picked up once more.
Once she stood up, she was caught by surprise when an even cooler breeze blew past them, and for a moment Shiva thought she'd seen snow before her eyes were forced shut by the gusting wind. "Wow... A storm must be on it's way." She stated. "Let's hurry to Accumula before we're caught in it." It was nearly summer, Unova wasn't known to get snow even to the north this time of the year... what could that have been? An Ice-type maybe?

As Shiva entered Accumula, she found the Pokemon Center relativity close to the entrance of the city. Once inside she was caught by surprise. The Pokemon center in Snowbelle was so different than the one here. Granted they were built with two different climates in mind. Shiva herself had only been inside the Snowbelle Pokemon Center one, when she was younger and she took a class revolved around Pokemon care and the like. What was also different was the fact that this Pokemon center's Poke Mart Corner was located at the front entrance rather then in the back. She didn't really need to purchase anything, so it was sort of irrelevant.
Heading deeper into the Pokemon Center, Shiva found a nice quiet corner to relax. Sitting Kuval down, she brushed a hand down his back before raising her hand up to scratch behind his tiny triangle shaped ears. Plopping down beside her, Kuval rested on his back, playing quietly with his scallop. "You're so cute. Mom and Dad are going to love you." Shiva chuckled as she reached down to tickle his stomach. Squirming bit Kuval giggled. "And you're ticklish? Oh, this will be fun."
Pulling out her Holocaster, Shiva quickly opened it up and skimmed through her contacts, finding her home number. Looking up at the clock she noted the time. It was likely getting late... or was it early? Shiva was never good at telling time, especially since she was now halfway across the world. After clicking the call button, she quickly pulled out a hidden mic from within the left ear cuff of her headphones. Kuval was rather excited to see an image of a house pop up in a display of lights. He pushed himself up and tried hard to touch the lights, only to find his little paw passing right through them. "You can't touch those lights, Kuval." Shiva giggled. A click on the device drew Shiva's attention. An image of a man replaced the house image. This one didn't look as generic as the house, appearing to be man in his mid 4o's, balding slightly around his forehead and a thick black mustache hiding his upper lip. "Shiva! It's about time you called young lady!" The man called, though his smile told Shiva he wasn't actually mad. "Sorry, daddy." Shiva replied in kind, feinting an apologetic look. "I'm in Accumula City now." She quickly added, tilting the Holocaster down. "Look, this is Kuval." she added. Kuval's eyes widened after seeing the man's gruff look. "Oh, an Oshawott, I was sure you'd choose a Tepig." He replied. "He's a darling anyway, what until your mother sees him." Kuval's chest puffed up a bit smiling boldly at the compliment he'd received. "Where is mom?" Shiva asked. "Oh, she left for work about an hour ago, someone called in sick so she's covering for them." So she just missed her mother? With a sigh Shiva leaned back a bit. "Alright, well it can't be helped. Tell her I love her and that she can call me anytime. Kuval and I will be waiting." "Will do, sweetie. How do you like Unova so far? How was meeting Professor Juniper? How's the weather there? A---" "Daddy." Shiva quickly cut her father off. Here came the 2o questions. "It's fine, I'm fine, Everything is fine. I'm going to head out again, I want to get to Striaton as quick as I can." She noted her father's frustrated look, but a sigh quickly replaced his disgruntled expression. "Okay, alright.... You go on and have your grand adventure. Just call often." "I will, daddy." Saying their good-byes and 'I love you's' Shiva finally hung up the Holocaster and slid it back over to her music, turning it on softly. Leaning back in the couch she took a moment to think over the current days events.

Stepping out of the Professor's lab, JD immediately released his pokemon again. Zoey had, of course, already been out of her pokeball, and Scyther had followed him out, but now that he was free of the confines of the building behind him, he wanted to let Jesse out, and get to know his new pokemon. With Zoey's supersonic still going, he could easily make out Oshawott as the pokemon appeared before him, but there wasn't any sign of Jesse. Instead he heard a buzzing from behind, but before he could turn, a very heavy, solid weight settled on him, like a child climbing ont his back. He could feel-- and then "see"-- appendages with large thorn-like weapons on the end hang over his shoulders and cling, thin legs hooking over his hips to wrap around his waste. He twisted slightly, bending under the weight but managing to keep his balance, smirking a bit as the resonance gave him the vague impression of a large, almost dew-drop shaped head with two large eyes and antennae behind him.
"Ah take it yeh fin'ly decided ta evolve, eh Jess?" he remarked, struggling to straighten up a bit. He could hear a faint, muted buzzing in response, and felt the light gust of her wings fluttering. "Well good fer yew. Now get off. Sorry, but yer a might bit heavier now've ya 'vovled so much." He was smiling as he said it, but honestly, he was lucky she was so delicate-- if she'd landed on him with more force, he probably would have gone down. She must have gained at least fifty, maybe sixty pounds since her little Weedle form...
There was an uncertain buzz from the bug pokemon, a pause, and then her wings flickered to life, lifting her off his back, and landing her behind him, low to the ground. She claws on her arms and legs, the spikes of her needle arms digging into the ground at a low angle. "What, you ain't afraid o' heights now, are ya?" he remarked with a smirk, bowing his head, listening to her shuffle across the grass, while Zoey helped him track her. He turned his head a bit, looking towards, though not at, Oshawott.
"Hope ya don' mind joinin' us, fella," he remarked to the water pokemon, who crossed his arms over his chest and considered the trainer for a moment, "Budah couldn' go 'n turn down Miss Juniper, 'n ah was hopin' for an Oshawott in thuh firs' place." Oshawott considered him a moment. Just a day ago he'd had a trainer, a different trainer. Admittedly a rather rotten trainer, but... "Shwa...." he muttered ambiguously. He wasn't really sure what to make of any of this. He felt... bad. Kail had left him. He'd just ditched him back at the lab he'd so recently got him from, like a return purchase. But, he told himself he didn't need the guy in the first place. What was he supposed to tell himself now, with him already shunted off to another trainer?
"Ahma take tha' as a 'No sir, ah don' mind t'all' till ya show meh otherwise," Jacque decided, nodding, then turning to look around. Oshawott shuffled his feet. He supposed there was no real use, or point, in fighting this... "Osh... Oshawott," he muttered, moving forward. Jacque immediately bowed his head, hearing the pokemon move, and then leaning down upon observing the pokemon holding something out to him. "Wha's this?" he asked, taking the two long sticks. He bent his head down, smelling them-- there was some kind of odd scent wafting off them. "Incense?" he guessed, standing up, then giving a bit of a smirk-ish smile, "Well thank ya, Oshawott. S'mighty kind 'o ya," he remarked, tucking them away.
"Sha..." the pokemon muttered in response. It was nothing... Not like he wanted to lug them around, anyway. He still didn't even know why Kail had bothered to give the items to him, when he was just going to ditch him in the end.

Tipping his hat down and moving out of the way of the entrance to the lab, JD took a moment to take in his surroundings, listening, and letting Zoey take a break from her constant supersonic. He turned his head, then tilted it, picking up on some chatter by the train station-- an area he tended to avoid due to the loud horn the trains could give up, but one where there was usually ample gossip to be heard. And interestingly enough, he did hear something. Evidently there was some sort of... festival or something? He faintly remembered hearing others chatter about it on his way there.
Lifting his head up, he turned towards the train station, considering it a moment, and then looking to his pokemon. "Whaddaya'll think?" he asked, hands on his hips, "Ya wanna check out this festehval?" Oshawott blinked, dropping his little paws to his sides and staring at the man. A... a what? Festival? As in... the one he just came from? "Is something wrong?" Oshawott jumped as the Scyther, for the first time, spoke up, looking up at the towering, calm figure, and then down at the ground, frowning. "I just came from there..." he muttered, "Before my trainer... left me at the lab..." The tall green pokemon seemed to consider this, then lift his head. "It will be better with Jay," he declared, giving his trainer a nod.
Oshawott frowned, puffing out his cheeks a bit. That was a rude assumption. He didn't know anything about his experience! Jacque, however, was focused on the confirmation from his Scyther, Zoey's supersonic going again to allow him to observe the motion. "Well alrigh' then, le's go," he said, turning, and making his way towards the ticket booth.

t took a bit of waiting in line but Jacque was eventually able to reach the ticket booth. He ordered a ticket for himself, asking if it was necessary to pay for his pokemon, too, and receiving a clear answer that it wasn't, but if the train was packed, he would have to keep them in their pokeballs. He turned his head slightly, listening towards them, but then nodded, buying the ticket and moving to the platform. The train was already there-- there was a twenty minute wait until it left, but he was able to board, returning all his pokemon except Zoey, who was so small she wouldn't take up space even if the train did fill to capacity.
Luckily, it didn't. Nineteen minutes later, as the train geared up and prepared to depart, he released Scyther, Oshawott, and Jesse once more. Scyther sat on the seat across from him-- Oshawott sat beside, and Jesse settled in on the floor between the two benches, staying low to the ground. "Yeh know, Jesse... Ah don' think yer doin' it righ'. Yer s'posed to get off thuh ground now've ya get yerself a pair o' wings..." he remarked, leaning back and settling in. He tipped his head back and his hat down to cover his face, placing a hand on Zoey so she could stop her supersonic, the vibrations around him dying down to a hum. He was still aware of everything-- the movement of the seats and the train as it began moving. He could still sense where his pokemon were, what they were doing, to some degree, based on the sound waves and movement vibrations radiating around him. It was just much less pungent, much easier to ignore, and he was able to drift off to a lull as the train rumbled on.

On the way to Nuvema, Cheria decided to build up her teams of Water and Grass starters before working on the Fire ones. Walking off the train, Cheria received a message and got out her holo caster. She was expecting it from Marx, but it was from Avon instead. She smiled. So, she had another friend on her list of contacts now. Great! Cheria responded to Avon's message before getting out her candy bar. Well, time for an Oshawott. Or, a Snivy. Maybe she'd flip a coin, as crude as it was.

Immediately after sending her message to Avon, Cheria walked into the lab. She still wasn't sure what to pick. But, like she suggested to herself, Cheria flipped a coin. Oshowatt was the winner. "Oh, hello. How can I help you?" Cheria was happy at least one of the professors were female. "Hi, Professor Juniper. I was wondering if there are any Oshawott available? I'm already a trainer, but I have a RageCandyBar I'm willing to trade." Cheria got out the candy bar and smiled a bit, holding it up. "One Oshawott for one RageCandyBar? You've got a deal, young lady~!" Juniper went over and retrieved a Pokéball before returning to Cheria. After the trade, Cheria left the lab. Now, did she train Oshawott now? Or, wait until she just switched around her team? As she pondered, she got a message from Avon and read it. So, Avon hadn't heard about the meteor shower. Sending her response after rereading it, Cheria decided to hold onto Oshawott until she figured it out.

Cheria let Oshawott, who she named Ariel, out of her ball. She picked the small Pokémon up to hold her, and Ariel seemed to enjoy it. Oshawott were certainly the cutest of Unova's starters! Smiling happily, Cheria made her way from Nuvema and headed for Accumula. Her first trip to Unova....This was going to be an experience.
The train pulled to a stop at the station and Apollo once again found himself in Unova. Even if he was a little sore, there was a plus side to that particularly long train ride: he'd finally figured out what he wanted to do next. "Ever been in a gym battle before?" he asked Eris as the two stepped out into the light, a flat palm to the forehead helping him to shield his eyes long enough for them to adjust. Once that was done he shifted his gaze downwards, only to be greeted by a blank gaze. "I'll take that as a no." his self-drawn conclusion was followed by a light exhale and deft fingers running themselves through his hair. "Yeah, alright. I guess training comes first." that made sense, of course. The majority of his pokemon were rather low-leveled, capable of holding their own against pokemon of Nuvema's caliber, but nothing more than fodder for the well-trained pokemon gym leader's dealt out.
Apollo rolled up his sleeves-- as best he could with such a bulky case in his hands-- and rotated his shoulders. It was time to get to work. He started forward, and as always found Eris by his side the second he took a step out. There wasn't any true technique to actually finding a wild pokemon: you just searched in the most obvious places; those were your bushes, tall grass, and trees-- if you were an avian-like pokemon. Apollo waded carefully into the tall grass, Eris following his every wary footstep, only to stop half-way through his journey when he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. "Alright, Eris get--""Chaaaaaaaaaar!" his sentence was interrupted by a terror-filled cry, causing Apollo to quirk an eyebrow and Eris to shift into a defensive position. It was obviously the cry of a pokemon, he just couldn't identify it; not without visual confirmation, and from the direction of the rustling grass Apollo figured he'd gain that soon enough.
