With a large blare of the train's whistle, Marx jumped back to the present, and to what he was doing. He quickly turned, leaping the distance to the train and hopping aboard. He looked around for Alex and Cheria, but couldn't find them, frowning. The train jostled under him, and he looked out a window, then pulled back, keeping his balance in the aisle as he pulled out his holo caster.
"Hey, I'm on the train... where are you guys?" He sent the message to both Cheria and Alex, scratching the back of his head in confusion after it was sent, and looking around. Finally, he just chose a seat, Basil and Zubat now both safely back in their pokeballs. He let Vaporeon out to keep him some company, but when she icily placed herself in the farthest corner, he sighed and released Surskit as well, the little pokemon jittering about before climbing into his lap. Shroomish let himself out as well, and soon, Sableye, who crawled over to peer out the window with bright, shinning eyes, and his usual grin. Marx sighed, resting his head back and looking out the window, past his pokemon. He was weirdly tired... maybe he'd get some sleep on the way to Kalos....

As Cheria walked into Littleroot, her holo caster beeped and she reached into her bag to grab it. Looking at the message, she saw it was from Marx. And, it had been sent awhile ago. Why didn't she get it sooner? Was her holo caster broken or something? Oh, no. Did Marx think he was being ignored? Receiving the message, Cheria was disheartened to learn he had indeed left for Kalos already. The train ride was going to be torture without the shield she had made Marx into. Okay. First, never tell Marx I made him into a shield. I don't want to hurt his feelings. Second....I can do this. I did it before. Oh, how she couldn't wait to get Fly. It would be so much better. Now it was time to send Marx a response. "Hey, Marx....Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I think my holo caster's broken, because your message just now got to me. Anyway, I'm getting ready to board the train to Vaniville now, so I'll definitely be in Cyllage soon."I hope. Sending the message to him and making sure it actually sent, Cheria put the device back in her bag. She'd have to ask her dad to take a look at it and see if he could fix it.

Well, she had her ticket, but the train was late. Sighing, Cheria took a seat on the station and decided to look at the town. She soon noticed an unusual Pokémon in the distance, staring back at her. It looked like a puppy, with pearly blue-white fur. It was cute! But, it didn't seem interested in interaction. Instead, it was just...observing her. Was something wrong? Was it hurt? And....What was it?

After about ten minutes of a stare off with the unknown Pokémon, Cheria got out her PokéDex to scan it. However, the creature was gone when she looked up again. Where'd it go? Aw....She wanted to meet it. The train arrived and Cheria stood. Looking back again to an empty space, Cheria sighed and boarded the train. Well, it was time to return to Kalos and head for Cyllage.
↳His father gave a nonchalant scoff at Tsubin's remark of caution, replying "I'm getting old; not gonna be that daring without another good reason." With a mighty flap, the aging man and his Fearow ascended back into the azure abyss above them. Tsubin shielded his eyes from the sunlight and billowing dust as he watched them take off. "Ping me when you get home!" he yelled, waving as the form of the man and bird diminished from a dot into nothingness in the horizon. With a huff as he let his arm relax, he turned his gaze to his Pokemon. It had come to his attention that the three of them were all alone now. It was a strange feeling, of course. Never in his life had he been away from his family, particularly his siblings. His dark brown hues gazed down at Aoi, then back to Hikari, shifting between the girls for a moment.
"Uh.... right, so..." he started. Actually, he didn't know where to start. Hikari wasn't new to him. Aoi was definitely new, and he had absolutely no idea what he was doing at the moment. He also hadn't been around new people in a while, at least not since school. Squatting down so he was as closer to eye-level with the Mudkip without having to actually lie on the ground, he stared at Aoi with a bit of curiosity. "Aoi," he addressed her as the glossy blue-black orbs met his gaze. Her response seemed immediate, though for the moment, Tsubin wasn't sure if her reaction was from recognizing her given name or because he was starting to talk to her. "Sorry, just kinda threw the name at you without thinking about it. Are you fine with Aoi or is there another name you want?"
.... Arceus, he was talking to a Pokemon as if she were a person. He nearly grimaced at the thought, but perked up as Aoi gave an acknowledging bob of her head, letting out another "Muuh!""Oh, so you're fine with it! That's good to know, because I can't think of any other names right now! Not like I'm under pressure or something like that," he rambled, letting out what sounded like a nervous chuckle. Crap, did she even understand his babbling? He already knew Hikari did, given how many years they've known each other. "Erm... Anyway, I think an introduction would be good for the moment. Aoi, I'm Tsubin, and this is Hikari, our companion."
Hikari let out a gentle hum as she peeked over his head, her blue-violet flames flickering intently. And then she whistled, floating around his head and rubbing her glass cheek against Tsubin's. "Oi, oi-- oh wait, that's right. You don't even have your Pokeball yet, Hikari." He pulled his backpack close as he dug through his jacket pocket with his free hand, producing an empty Pokeball that was promptly presented to the Lampent. Her spindly arm reached out and tapped the bi-colored sphere, popping it open and disappearing with the rest of her body into a flash of red light. With a click, she claimed her ball before popping back out in the same burst of light, quite happy to officially be under Tsubin's ownership at last. "Ah, you're happy, of course. " With a playful smirk, he rose from his crouching position, straightening his posture. "I think it's about time we be on our way, don't you think?" he asked Aoi as she gazed up at him.

↳Hikari halted her clockwise orbits and retrograde rotation as she hovered next to Tsubin's head, eagerly awaiting her new companion's "answer." A tune resonated from her being as she swayed in place, her circular yellow eyes gleaming intently. Tsubin was familiar with the Lampent, enough to know she wasn't impatient... though he still wasn't too sure about how she was about waiting on new Pokemon. Aoi was still quite shy; he knew it would take a while for her to be more comfortable around the two of them. The mud fish was gazing up at them curiously, before she opened her mouth and let out a "Maaah" in approval of the idea.
"Alright, that sounds good. Unanimous decision to get going." Tsubin grinned, slightly amused by the strange sense of understanding between the three of them. If this was how it was going to be from then out, he supposed it would work out fine... he hoped. Aoi hopped in place, picking up on the other two's eagerness to get moving, but she seemed to want something else. Curiously, he glanced over at Hikari to see if she knew what the Mudkip wanted. Her yellow gaze met Aoi's as she let out a hum, before turning to Tsubin and raising a spindly arm to point at his shoulder. "Oh, she wants to be up here? Okay." He bent down and reached his hand out to let Aoi hop up to him, keeping as steady as he could so that she could walk up to her temporary perch, instead sliding into the hood of his jacket. As she cuddled in and made herself comfortable, Tsubin chuckled, raising a hand and patting Hikari's glassy cheek. "She likes your old spot, Hikari," he said, also reaching to his backpack and slinging it over his right shoulder carefully as he straightened his back. With a nod to the Lampent, he turned to start the long march out of town to the beginning of an adventure.

↳Not too long after taking his first steps out of Littleroot Town, a rustling noise in the grass alerted Aoi from her nestled spot in Tsubin's hood. The fin on her head gave a slight twitch and she peeked over the fabric and she padded her way up to his shoulder. The tips of the orange spikes on her cheeks brushed against Tsubin's cheek as she leaned on his shoulder, her feet still in his hood. "Hm? What's up, Aoi?" he asked curiously as he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. Hikari had distracted herself again by flying in circles around them, but she seemed unaware of her surroundings.
Aoi seemed to be focused on something in the grass. Of course Tsubin remembered things from school, and that the wild Pokemon tended to lurk in the grass. There was something out of his sight, but Aoi's reaction made him stop in his tracks and instinctively reach for an empty Pokeball in his pocket. Without warning, Aoi opened her mouth and shot out a stream of water into the green pasture. Startled, Tsubin let out a yelp and threw the ball in the direction Aoi used Water Gun. The red and white sphere expanded and bounced off of whatever it hit, a flash of red flying into it.
Aoi used Water Gun! -40 damage! 50/50 | 0/30 Wild Zigzagoon fainted!

"Aoi, what the hell did I just throw a ball at?" Tsubin asked incredulously, blinking a few times. He was well aware that his reaction was a bit on the slow side. Hikari wasn't as stumped as he was, and she let out a series of short chirps, sounding a lot like she was laughing. The Pokeball wiggled in place a few times before settling down with a click. He rushed over to it, stooping over to pick it up. "Hikari, shush. You know I'm new to this too. I didn't even catch you normally, you just clung to me out of nowhere," he huffed at the Lampent, pouting at her. Picking up the capsule, he stared at it, searching for the button before pressing it as soon as he found it.

As Ari watched Hōpu and Sakura play, she heard an odd clicking noise and looked around. She spotted a Wurmple latching onto her wheel and smiled a bit."Careful! You'll get hurt. Come on, little guy."Ari went to take Wurmple off her wheel, but it stung her. She yelped and pulled her hand away, and Sakura ran over with Hōpu. Hōpu licked her hand and Sakura crossed her arms. How dare this bug hurt her trainer!

At least she knew Sakura had her back, too. But, the Treecko didn't seem happy that Ari had caught the assaulting Wurmple. Well, she wanted to fill out her PokéDex. She'd need two Wurmple for that, though. And, hopefully they evolved into their separate evolutions.

With the Wurmple Threat taken care of, Ari pat Hōpu and Sakura's heads before moving out of the way of Birch's door. She was off to a good start! She would need to spend some serious bonding time with Legna and Cox somemw. Get to know them, too. But, right now, she would focus on Hōpu and Sakura. Not that she needed to get to know the Growlithe. She grew up with him!
Giovanni stepped off the train and was abit suprised that to see that it was open tracks witha white four post roof was above him. "Huh, so this is Hoenn, eh?" he started to walk forward and noticed a sign that said Littleroot Town. "Well that explains where I am but not where Im going" he paused and let out a sigh. "I guess I really didnt think this through that much huh Lucario?" his Mega evolved partner shook its head. Well, Gio told himself, I guess I should find a local to talk to and see where to next.
After abit of wandering around Giovanni found someone sitting down with a bunch of Pokemon and she was actually battling one. The closer Gio got to the trainer her realized she wasnt actually sitting she was in a wheelchair. And most of her Pokemon seemed fairly sized as well. At least the girl was a local Gio thought.
As he walked up she caught the Wurmple and seemed to show thanks to her Pokemon."Hey, nice going with that Wurmple!" he said congratulating the girl "judging by the way you handled that battle I assume your from around here no?" he barely left any room to respond as he took a breath and continued to talk to the person sitting in front of him"Im from Olivine City in Johto, but Im looking to challenge the Gym Leaders here. I guess what Im trying to ask is whos the first one and do you know how to get there?" Giovanni's mega Lucario stood close behind. This Trainer didnt seem like should be threatening so he closed his eyes and read her Aura. She was clean as far as he concerned so he felt he could back off his Trainer for awhile.

Ari nearly jumped out of her skin when she was approached and spoken to, Hōpu and Sakura looking at the other trainer and his Lucario curiously. The trainer, who...didn't actually introduce himself, spoke without giving her time to respond until he was done. When he was, she smiled."Oh....Thank you! All the experience helps, though I wish the Pokémon around here were stronger. Anyway, I am indeed from Hoenn. I'm Arianna, but you can call me Ari. Or, Anna. Or, Jean."The first gym was....Ari wanted to say Roxanne? Yes. It was definitely Roxanne."Roxanne. Her gym is in....Rustboro. To get there, you need to go through the Petalburg Woods and head across the bridge."

This girl Arianna seemed like a nice enough person why wouldnt he have her help him out? Or at least see if she wanted to. He liked to travel with people so if he had to traverse this unknown region by himself so be it, but at least the offer was out there
