Or.... not? Marx blinked when Cheria battled her own pokemon, but sent Litwick to the Zigzagoon, letting him handle his own battle, while deciding to drop the matter. It might be easier for them to just train on their own, anyway. He smiled, though, as she replied to his question about her photography, nodding a bit at her explanation.
"Heh, got it," he remarked, glancing over as Litwick came trotting over after his victory. "That's awesome, though! I've got a friend who's a photographer... Maybe I could ask her if she could help you get your photos published!" he suggested, perking up with a grin. He was pretty sure he remembered Shenaiya mentioning something about that when she was gushing over Isis, when they met her, back at the ball. Before things, well... went to hell, basically.

Marx blinked. Trauma recovery center....? Huh.... Well that could be handy! Of course, the possible implications of her mentioning that went completely over his head. "Heh... you're welcome?" he replied, smiling sheepishly and rubbing the back of his neck a bit. He didn't know why she was thanking him, really, but he was happy to help! Especially since he didn't know what he, personally, was going to do when he got older. He figured he would find out as he got there, after he had tried different things, and found out what he was good at, and what he enjoyed.
"So, do you want to keep training here, or move on? I don't think my pokemon are getting a lot of experience, but I can probably train Litwick a little bit more if you wanna hang around a bit more," he suggested, lacing his fingers together behind his head and looking at her curiously. Litwick might have a slightly harder time in a higher level area, but at the same time, he would be able to train more of his pokemon. And some of them were the ones he really wanted to level up for the next gym.

Yes, unfortunately, unless it was horrifically obvious (and possibly scathing), sarcasm was often lost on Marx. He had somewhat noticed the wording of it-- 'Thanks for that'-- but he was still.... very oblivious to a lot of things. At least he had apparently caught onto noticing how strong or weak a pokemon was, considering his comment about her starter, and the pokemon in the area, compared to his own. That alone had only taken him, about... well.... how old was he again....?
At any rate, he nodded a bti when she managed to recall what location came next, a bit surprised how well she seemed to know the area well enough to remember that. "Heh, yeah! Good memory. Petalburg is next, but I don't think the pokemon are a whole lot stronger. We could check it out, though, and see what else is available. I think there's a gym, but... it's pretty strong, from what I've heard. And I think there's a ferry service to Dewford, and a forest nearby. Which is actually where I caught a lot of my pokemon!" he remarked. Zubat gave a small screech from his shoulder, and he gently patted the pokemon. "Not him. But most of the others," he clarified, smiling at the bat pokemon. Litwick eyed him from where he stood near Marx's feet, his flame wavering, occasionally showing small hints of grin as it flickered.
"Anyway, yeah, let's go. I'm sure we can find somewhere good to train pretty close by," he agreed, returning Litwick for the time being, and starting off towards Petalburg.

Teito continued to move around Oldale, slowly and without interest. He had to move on soon enough. But, not before he was greeted by a Fletchinder carrying a cloth in his beak. Teito sighed. Even in Hoenn, he was still being bothered by that crazy stalker of an ex. It was one date, and it wasn't even that."I don't see how you can handle that creep, Fletchinder."Fletchinder dropped the delivery, pecked his head angrily, and then flew off. As he knelt to see what sort of gift she sent him this time, he held his hand to the spot he'd been pecked. Which was now bleeding. Untying the string from the makeshift package, he saw a few useful items and a PokéBall. Putting the berries and TM in his bag, he picked the ball up and let the mystery Pokémon out. He frowned and rubbed his head."She sent me a Happiny...."Of all the Pokémon she could have sent, it was a Happiny. Well, at least they were cute. He doubted he'd be using her in battles anytime soon, though.
