1. [A perfect oyster pearl]: FAILURE
[For many moons I had tended to my oyster garden, one true goal in mind to please the Mystique witch of the sea's. The time had finally come and i had thought to have finally grown a pearl most worthy.......but fate had decided it not to be.]
2. [Compass from a sunken ship]: SUCCESS
[Donned in a wet suite and scuba gear, I made my way down to the mighty ship yard, slipping past the guardian sharks and into a decrepit vessel of once great Majesty. There within its ruins I found a compass, though water logged and no longer working, it still shone with a splendor not forgotten. ]
3. [Angelfish in a bowl]: FAILURE
[I should have known as much. Despite having found the most gorgeous of Angelfish at the pet store, its elegance could not be contained in a mere bowl. Before I could make it back to my car, it flopped from its container and was swept away on the talons of a bird....]
4. [Conch Shell]: SUCCESS
[A trip to the beach to find a shell for my lady, I happened upon a gathering of gulls snooping about a pile of shells, plucking small crabs from beneath them. One lone large shell lay undisturbed admits the flock, yet it took some time to reach it. The gulls were feisty, attacking me for food when I drew near. In order to distract them, I procured a rather large dripping hot dog from a bumbling passing man and flung it as far as I could to deter some of the gulls, allowing me to rush in and snatch the shell.]
5. [A baby Kraken]: SUCCESS
[I waited. Several long days I waited for the right moment when Mama Kraken was distracted by her need to hunt for herself and her young. Armed with a net, I dove into the waters once she was distracted devouring a poor ship and thrust the net over one of her children, then signaled for air vac lift immediately to avoid her grasping tentacles, for the captured young began to shriek and the ship no longer proved a viable play toy. ]
6. [Davy Jones' Locker]: SUCCESS
[This one proved surprisingly easy. It would seem my hunch was correct, and the good Sir Jones did indeed enjoy a rather healthy stack of 'Sexy Squids and Octopussy' magazines in trade for his infamous locker. Always wanted to know what was in this thing....]
7. [Pirate's Booty [Dat a**]]: FAILURE
[On board the finest pirate ship I had ever laid eyes upon, I searched for the one thing anyone ever desires. A Pirate's Booty. However, as I glanced around the ship, I began to realize that none of these pirates had any sort of desirable looks, let alone one singularly fine booty. My searched twas in vain, for no a** was worthy of the witch that night.]
8. [Lock of Adonis' hair]: FAILURE
[The great God of Desire had agreed to meet me without much fuss. His presence indeed captivating and distracting. I had come for a lock of his hair to present to the witch, yet I found myself getting lost in his many indulgences. So much so.... I forgot why I had gone there completely. But at least I had one fantastic night.]
9. [Bouquet of Incense]: SUCCESS
[I made my way down to the local "herbal healing" store, for I knew they had the best stock of assorted incense for any and every need. Wandering over to their collection, I proceeded to pick out many sticks of several varieties, ending up with a rather impressive bouquet of incense sticks to present to the Mysterious witch.]
10. [A real bra. (No more uncomfortable shells!)]: SUCCESS
[On to Victoria's Secret for my last and final gift search. When I walked into the store, it slapped me right in the face. Of course! She's a sea pony, close enough to a mermaid. And I've heard from a very reliable source that those shell bra's cause much chafing of the breast area. So I bought the witch a real bra, push up, with maximum comfort cups. ]
