Katie stared at him for a long while as the words he said registered. Her face turned bright red and she backed away, pulling the blankets around her to hide herself. "S-so.. I heard it might snow soon.." Changing the subject could help to make the mood go away, hopefully.

 Korvain smiled when he saw Katie blushing. "Yeah, I heard so too..." he grumbled "I'm not too thrilled about it - if there's one thing I can't stand, it's the cold." he then snuggled up closer to her, playfully poking her nose "Oh well, look at the bright side - we can keep one another nice and warm."

Katie closed her eyes for a moment when he touched her nose. How long had they been cooped up in her room, doing absolutely nothing? It was probably mid-day and she was rather tired.
She sighed and rested her head on a pillow, closing her eyes. Her mind drifted to the thought of what Korvain's reaction might be if he saw her flirting with someone else. Would he get angered at her or the one she was flirting with? Maybe he'd start crying.. Katie never was good at dealing with people who cried easily. Plus he was so sure he was in love with her. Katie could easily be scared or annoyed by him. He acted just like a stalker, claiming to know she was a good person without even truly knowing her. <********> She happened to mutter, then turn over on the bed.
Korvain would soon become annoying if he kept coming to her room. They ******** only once, why did he insist on-- "You know, we're not a couple, right?" Katie felt the need to tell him, if he cried or got angry that was his problem. She couldn't commit to any kind of relationship, because when she did it made her feel like she was chained to the ground and unable to do anything on her own.

Korvain snuggled up closer to Katie as she turned around, gently running his hand through her hair. "I don't know what we are, then..." he admitted "But there is definitely something between us, because I've never felt so close to somebody before. As a wizard I've dealt with all sorts of magic, but I've never been under a spell quite this powerful..." he then sighed, gently running his finger along her neck "Besides, have you ever met anyone quite like me? Somebody who would accept you for who you truly are, and not judge you? I'm lucky that I met you Katie... And you may not realize it yet, but you're lucky you met me."

Katie reached into her pillow-case and pulled out a flip-blade. She opened it and started cutting the wall. The white paint on the wall slip apart where the blade touched, a base coat of red was under it and made the wall look like it was bleeding.
She continued to slash at the wall, not being very careful as the blade sliced her thumb. She pressed too hard on it and blood now trickled down her wrist. "Sigh.." Katie pulled the blanket over her hand. It stung like a large paper cut might.

A confused expression came across Korvain's face as he watched Katie begin to cut the wall. "Katie, what are you doing?" he asked. He then saw the blood running from her thumb. "You're bleeding... I'll take care of that." He then got up and ran to the bathroom, finding a band-aid in the medicine cabinet. He sat down on the bed next to Katie. After gently cleaning her cut, he applied the band-aid to it. "Here you go..." he said smiling at her "You should be more careful... I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself."

Katie pressed her other thumb on the blade until it began to bleed as well. She got on her knees and met Korvain's chest, pressing against him as she streaked her bloodied thumb under each of his eyes. "You can't heal something that's already dead, Korvain.." Katie ran her fingers gently over the bristles on his face as she gazed in his eyes. She wouldn't allow him to kiss her, because she didn't want it. If he forced it on her; she'd comply, but never could he be gentle while she was in control and expect her to give in.

Korvain watched in horror as Katie intentionally pressed the blade into her other thumb, causing it to bleed. Korvain plucked the knife from her grasp, sending it flying into the wall on the opposite side of the room with a flick of his wrist.
Korvain felt a chill run down his spine as Katie rubbed her blood on his face, making it appear as if he was crying blood. He had to admit, he loved the deep symbolism behind everything she said and did. She could make a great modern artist someday, as long as she gave up the terrible habit of using her own blood as a medium.
Korvain grabbed Katie's thumb and genlty squeezed it to stop the bleeding. He put his other arm around her, gently rubbing it up and down her back. His gaze met hers as he stared solemnly into her eyes. "You're not dead, Katie..." he said softly. "You're a beautiful, bright young woman with your whole life ahead of you, and I know you'll do great things." he then gently kissed her hand. "Why do you act this way?"

Katie pulled her hand away. "You don't know that." She got up off the bed and went to the door, walking out into the hallway.
Katie walked to the window at the end of the hall and peered out it. The skies were becoming dark like a storm was brewing up in the Heavens. If there even was such a place. Katie knew she wouldn't be allowed in, there was a special hot seat waiting for her in hell, no doubt.

Korvain grabbed another band-aid and then followed Katie out into the hall. He stood next to the window, gently putting the bandage on her other bleeding thumb. He then held onto her hand, gazing out the window... The skies were growing dark with clouds, and it looked like a storm was on the way. "I love weather like this..." he said softly "It makes me feel so alive - there's nothing quite like walking in the rain." he then turned his head to face her, gazing into her eyes. "Look, I can tell something is upsetting you - as soon as you're ready to talk to me about it, I'm willing to listen."

Katie turned to him and gave his eyes the middle finger. She heard something about raising your pinkie meant something just as harsh.. Or was it biting your thumb?
She marched back to her room and closed the door, locking it. Katie went to the wall and grabbed the knife, pulling it out and using it to chop off locks of her hair. It fell to the ground as she walked to the bathroom, renewed tears streamed down her face as she cut and whacked, chopping off the old, damaged hair.
She cut herself a couple of times on accident and threw the knife down when she was done. Just in case Korvain tried to get to her she closed the bathroom door and locked that too.
Katie turned on the shower and got into the tub, keeping he clothes on as she washed the strands of hair off herself.

"Katie, wait up..." said Korvain, following her back to her room, but she had ignored him. He tried the door, but it was locked. He then pounded on it a few times only to get no answer. His heart began to pound rapidly, as he was worried that she may try to hurt herself. He remembered the incident with the knife earlier, and in his mind's eye he saw a horrifying image of her slitting her own wrists.
Korvain closed his eyes and raised his hands, muttering an incantation under his breath. When he opened his eyes, his hands were radiating with a soft blue glow and tingling as magical energies coursed through them. There was a deafening crash as he slammed the palm of his hand into the door. The door flew open, nearly being torn off it's hinges and posters began to fly off the walls and around Katie's room.
When Korvain saw that the knife had been missing from the wall, it only went to confirm his suspicions. He could hear the water running in the bathtub, and once again disturbing images began to flood his mind. He tried the bathroom door and found that it was locked too.
"I'll huff, and I'll puff..." said Korvain menacingly, slamming his glowing hand into the bathroom door. "...and I'll blow your house down!" The door was actually torn from it's hinges, landing in the middle of the bathroom.
Korvain found Katie sitting in the tub with all of her clothes on. She had a few cuts on her head and hands, but they didn't look deliberate... rather, she had made them while cutting her hair. Despite the fact that she had used a knife, her new hairstyle actually looked pretty cute. Korvain knelt down next to the tub and pulled Katie into his arms, not minding the fact that he was getting wet. "I was worried about you, Katie..." he said softly.

Katie jumped when she heard the first book break away. It sounded like someone killed a million cats at the same exact moment. The next crash made an eye-full of tears tower over her cheeks. Thank God the water was spraying her.
Katie's ******** up mentality was drawing in a lame reply to his gentle and fright-stricken tone. "You're such a freak, Mr. Bhilani.." Was her reply as she pushed her foot to his cheek. "Why don't you paint my toes? Isn't that what married couples do? The women force the men to preform tasks that take away from their masculinity?" Katie smirked, knowing she'd enjoy the pain causing him to do such a thing. When she said to paint her toes, she meant right there, at that very moment. She had no intention of moving from the bathroom tub, for if she did, she knew she'd become so angry with him she might say something regretful.
The doors, her room.. Her POSTERS! What the ******** did this guy have in his head when he came into her room with a fire on his back, ready to light everything in red? Katie had no way of getting him away from her, did she? She took a mental note not to flip him off and storm into her room, because he would just assume dumb s**t and come in breaking everything.

Korvain was surprised when Katie pushed her foot into his face... She could be so wonderfully unpredictable at times! "You're a freak too, Katie - that's what I love about you!" he then grabbed a case several bottles of nail polish, setting them down next to Katie. He didn't see anything too feminine or demeaning about doing this "Fine, I'll paint your toes for you if it will help you feel better. Sorry if I'm not very good at this, I don't usually do this sort of thing... what color would you like?" he then smiled at her "I like what you've done with your hair, but it's not a very good idea to use a knife. You could hurt yourself that way - in this day and age, even the smallest cut can become an awful MRSA infection."

Katie let some water sprinkle into her mouth before spitting it up like a fountain. "I want them to be orange-ish-yellow. Have you found a word to rhyme with orange? Poetry Man." She laid back and bent her leg over the edge of the bathtub. The water was so nice and warm.. Too bad for anyone else that wanted a hot shower later. Haha!
"Promise me one thing.. If I do die, take my ashes to the stars and sprinkle them around. Every time you look up, think of me." Katie just needed to change.. Change something about her boring self. The lies she hid herself under were starting to burn by the fire she lit herself. How tragic.
Katie was able to cut away the color from her hair and it was just plain black now. How interesting would it be for her to dress goth? She had a friend who was goth for a year or so, then something happened and she wore colors again.
