With a resolute intake of air, Dae'ruil reached around and undid the clasp that secured his sword to his draperies, gently and reverently laying it down on the altar. He had never been much for conflict himself, though he had always admired soquili, like his mate, Fianna, who had the courage to fight for what they believed in. Short IC Response:
Dae'Ruil stared up at the glimmering star, unable to deny the portentous nature of its appearance shortly after his formal proposal to Fianna and visiting her family. Hopefully this was the premonition he was hoping for. Maybe it was time to start a family of their own. Foals that were both his and Fianna's. He had been focused on taking Fianna back to his kingdom after formally asking permission from her parents, but there was just something.... right, something welcoming about the herd that her parents had been forming. It might have been so much simpler, almost crude to the young prince after the home that he was used to, but the love that was present here was so genuine that it almost took him by surprise. Almost like he had found for the first time what a home was really supposed to be. Maybe he shouldn't have been surprised. After all, the family, like Fianna herself, might be rough around the edges, but it was so very Real. Fianna's siblings might squabble, but it wasn't the almost venomous and stifling competition that Dae'Ruil's brothers had shown him.
It didn't mean that he didn't still want to return home.... some day... that he didn't want to show Fianna the dragonfly fluttercorn kingdom that he had grown up in, to introduce her to his parents, knowing and facing the certain disapproval that they would show. But... maybe.. he could rest for a time, share something genuine and real, expand their family before dealing with HIS. After all, nothing would justify to his family the realness of his relationship with the brave, brash, and feisty mare, Fianna than a family of their own.
"Star..." He began, raising his head and looking at the majestic star that outshone all the rest, "I entreat upon thee.... bless this union. Grant Fianna and I a child of our own. I love her beyond the mere borders of my heart, and bringing new life into this union will nourish and grow our love even more. She has taught me to be stronger, more confident... saved my life and saved me once more through the acceptance of my humble proposal. I never wish to tie her down - she seems to be the spirit of the wind and freedom itself some times - but I love her, and I am truly blessed to be loved in return. Let her brave spirit continue on in our foals. A foal or foals to cherish and amaze me as Fianna herself does." Dae'Ruil dropped to one knee in a formal, head-bent bow that was virtually a muscle memory to the soquili born to royalty. There was no way to know if his prayer had been heard, but he hoped beyond hope that maybe, just maybe, he had done something right and the spirits of the star would hear his petition. My Long Lost Family MemberSoquili in search of a relative:  Relation: Brother Race: Angeni-Wind cross Race: Pure Wind What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A feather from her wing and a similar stone to the one around her neck...the colour tinted more red beneath the star. Short IC Response: Aleera set the stone gently atop the feather on top of the small hill before turning her eyes to the star. This was her second time beseeching such oddities, but... Something felt off around her, now. Like something big was coming.
"Please... If there is any way, could you guide my brother to me?"(No twisties for this darlin'. <3)

While if you cross her she will cut you, Rhiannon cares deeply about those that matter to her. She is an extravert and needs others around. So having someone that is loyal would be a good thing. It is one of the only things left she kept from home and is very dear to her. However she feels one thing from home might bring back another. Short IC Response: Ravati flicked her tail around rapidly, allowing one of the cuffs she prized so slip from her tail onto the ground. None knew of how she got them and what they meant to her even her dear Opus didn't know. A gift, that is what it truly was. A good luck gift from her mother. It was the only thing she was allowed to keep before entering her new herd and meet her arranged mate. Lowering her head she gently picked up the cuff from the ground as a lone tear rolled down her face. Her family. By the sweet gods how long had it been since she saw them? Since she heard of them? She didn't even know if any of them still live. Ravati's heart ached for them painfully. She had so many wonders still about them and questions that had been left unanswered. Did they know what happened? What became of the heirs - no, no longer did they have the title of heirs. They were simply her sons. Her dear sons, who all but one had been murdered in front of her eyes because of the ignorant fear of a herd that demand blood. I know you must already have many to ponder over granting such a large blessing to. But...I have been in pain for so long. I miss my family, I miss my son. He is the only child I have left. No mother should have to go through the pain of burying her own young, yet I have twice. I have missed so much time with him. By now he is...gods he is grown already. I do not wish to miss anymore of his life than I already have but it is too dangerous for me to go seek him out in my homeland myself. I want this ache in my heart to subside, I...want to see him again, if only once in my lifetime. Just the chance to tell him I'm sorry, to explain why I did what I did and tell him the truth about what happened that's all I ask for.' It is a symbol of hope and renewal to the mare and she fervently wishes it'll carry her heartfelt plea to be reunited with her scattered family. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative? Eiryn dropped the flower that she had carefully kept near to her at her feet. Her neck craned upwards as her eyes sought out the bright star shining over the land. She had seen this star just after the great fires and had been too much in shock to realize that the heavenly object was something that could be wished upon. Now she was thinking with a clearer mind and she knew about the magical properties that were attributed to the phenomenon. Her voice, quiet from disuse, rasped softly in the night air.
"I know that my family yet lives. We were scattered when the great fires overtook the land but somehow I just know that if you could guide my sister back to me that things could be alright. Please take this offering as a symbol of the hope I feel blossoming inside and set my sister on the right path that will lead her to me."(( Heads Up - I have edited this post to change out the Soquili that is wishing for a family member. Seven crows, four dead and three to watch over the remains, and a bone shard tipped in his own blood. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative? Yellow eyes peered out, twisted smile almost mocking as he peered up through the tangles of his mane. The wishing star above glinted, and he glanced downward to the cackling remains of the murder he'd brought with him. The remaining three crows pecked at the ground here and there, finding grubs and other insects to fill their bellies instead of their fallen brethren. Even creatures many considered scavengers would first turn to less filling food before consuming those familiar to them. Occasionally, anyways. When the options presented to them were at least vaguely favorable. He paused in his musings to pick up a bone shard he'd brought, gripping the fragment between his teeth as he pressed it against the soft, grime covered fur of his foreleg. It didn't take much pressure for the skin to break beneath the point, slipping the pale fragment into the warm blood that flowed freely. It was this bloody fragment he placed atop one of the dead crows, the remaining three of the murder watching the act warily. He wished to see one of his own brethren again. Surely blood offered would only aid in this.... widespread search. It had been far too long since he'd caught glimpse of his kin, his... kind. Beelzebub's twisted smile returned, a crackle of a chuckle lifting from him as he sent one last amused look to the gleaming star before he returned to his shadows of the swamp.
