You know what while I still want to be a part of this and I still want to continue this awareness campaign I'm beginning to feel like the only ones we're doing this for is ourselves. After seeing the GCD Monday I'm convinced they only care for their own warped sense of social justice and we might lose a whole lot on the site because of them.

Lord Lapin Social justice warriors are even here too, jeeze. I've seen a few SJW-like posts around here and there, but... nothing like what's on Tumblr. ._. Didn't think the whole mindset was that widespread, though... 8c /// We have a good start, I think, but we have to stay positive and keep chugging along. o3o;; While the plot may be something that we like, I think there's enough of us to prove that it's not just a select few being "greedy." Or well.. that's what I think, anyways. ^^;;

That's fine with me but it doesn't feel like there's a community to fight on behalf of anymore and people are just out to prove something now so their name can live on in Gaia lore forever. The fact that they weren't banned is giving them some sense of immunity as though they can't ever get in serious trouble with the staff ever again so they can do pretty much whatever they want. But at any rate this isn't worth losing my sanity over like ninety percent of respondents to that thread are letting happen to them.

And just because I personally am not up in arms because some people are skewing things to fit their agenda doesn't automatically make me one of the bad guys. I just worry the face of the GCD will change so much that our message will be harder to get people to care about. I don't ever want to give up this crusade but we might need to lay low sticking to a few threads until plot day is back again. GCD needs a serious case of calm the hell down right now because this is worse than thousand dollar Halos.

I mean, I read the announcement at GCA, but I didn't know what was going on until I went to the GCD (Not to post, of course. 'Cause I do as I'm told, but to read about it). . Dude, I couldn't believe my eyes.
Like, I can see why some of the people are upset about this ticket thing. . . but it's fictional currency, and we've got bigger problems to worry about. Like, if we don't save the manga we might not even have fictional currency to even b***h about.
Plus, the Evidence says that something dirty is going on. . . But is there really?. . Is there really something dirty going on? Or this is someone's bright idea of ruining someone's life because said person wouldn't do something for them. It's not the first time it's happened (that we know about), and people can get a little crazy if their wants / needs are not met. We see it ALL the time outside of Gaia, people are capable of anything, I believe. I've heard, and seen, worse things happen both here and outside of Gaia. People fight dirty when they've been hurt.
The way I'm thinking about it- As the "neutral party"- Evidence CAN say one thing but it doesn't always mean that it's right. In other words: It's up for Interpretation. I understand Their side, and the other side of this whole thing, and I'll say it right now that I have NOTHING against these parties, I'm just giving my perspective- I'm just thinking out loud here. I hope it's just a matter of time until the issue fades and people will turn back to whatever they are after and SOP. We just have to be persistent now and not let go. An event would be the right thing to do now, like it has been suggested already. I can do arts ^o^
ahem anyway... I saw the thread and the drama but I will not take part in that. It's the staffs issue to clear and I am interested to see how they go about that.

That hurts more than anything, to see a friend call me selfish and not understand where I'm coming from with my concerns. I wish it would be easy to ignore things and it'd eventually go away but that thread has hurt so many people and caused so many rifts in friendships its not even silly. I don't even know why I'm on this site right now (not right at this point in time) because I certainly don't feel like the GCD really cares anymore outside of our small groups.
Maybe we do need to open people's eyes and have someone post something in the GCD about losing the plot and everything that goes with what makes the community so great that slowly takes them away from their feelings of anger and blood thirst because if they don't step back from that thread it's going to get very ugly. The longer the mods and admins let it remain active the worse things will get and the harder it'll be for us to present our side. The GCD right now has an if you're not with us then you're against us mentality and I blame two people for inciting riot.

Look peeps, don't let an incident like this get you down. Out there on gaia there are loads of plot junkies, there are loads of people who love interactive stories and manga. Just because there's been an uprising of disagreeable individuals lately doesn't mean the diamonds aren't in the rough, they just become harder to find. The community doesn't look supportive, but supporters still exist. D&D'ers, RP'ers, and the old Gaians of 2003 onwards.
They aren't united yet though, and that's what this organization should be dedicated to: finding them, gathering them, and conglomerating. The community is pitching a fit right now, but can you honestly say it's the entire community?
Don't let a few unsavory characters spoil it for you. You must remain strong and you must remain dedicated, because there are people out there who want a plot and you must realize you aren't just doing this for yourselves, but you're doing it for them. The ones who left, the ones who came back, the ones waiting for something interesting, and the ones with memories of the past. You can do it, no matter how dark it may look, you can bring back the plot. It all starts with an idea.

Gosh, I'm no Uncle Haijin who could spout out well researched meta about any plot related subject.
A day or two to actually figure out a well thought out topic that doesn't unsettle the masses and gets our point across does seem to be in order. I know I at least need to ask the guild and the thread about the different times the manga has actually affected a feature on the site.

That thread in the GCD is nuts. I missed most of it because of traveling which was probably for the best. Stuff like that is more of a spectator thing for me anyway. I've never thought about how the gold was changing hands or what major items were selling.
Hopefully it will all blow over in a few days and we can resume plot stuff.
