It seems as if Eranya lives a double life: When most members of the flock see the oilslick colored mare, she's decked out in some of the finest jewelery and accessories, her feathers fluffed and styled in different ways, and a new stallion (or mare or even some of the non-binary members of the flock: In her opinion, pretty is pretty, though she does find stallions the easiest to have fun with) pressed close by each week, and an utter social butterfly in the thick of things and with her finger on the pulse of all the local gossip, and talking to foals as if they were adults, not looking down on them what-so ever.


However, when the mare gets to work as a scout for the Flock, she strips herself of all her finery, leaving it to decorate her nest, and vanishes into the shadows of the deep forest, her brightly colored accessories and bright iridescent colors shining from her coat in the bright sunlight of the more open gathering areas replaced with the shadows of the deep forest, melting stealthily into the dim mottled light, her broken marking's breaking up her form and allowing her to slink through the tree branches unseen, spying on their neighboring herds and keeping an eye out for anyone making to intrude on Flock territory. She's far from a Guard, but is the eyes for the guard. Those used to the social butterfly that is Era are often startled and shocked by the slinking silent shadow when they meet her in the borderlands. If they see or hear her at all.

She's a serious Fashion plate who loves dressing up in the finest accessories for parties, and often is wearing at least SOME accessories even when casual. But when working? Nude is how it is: In the shadows of the deep, undeveloped forest her iridescence isn't as visible and her dapple pattern helps break her up, allowing her to vanish into the shadows and branches to be stealthy and scout areas out ahead for guards and spy on neighboring herds.

About

Learning of how she and her siblings came to be, as The Flock has some Atypical ways for allowing for children, Xylia became fascinated with the Sacred Motherhood, and enters training as a Sacred Daughter so she can learn how to be a Midwife, fertility specialist, and learn the magics known by the Sacred Maidens.

However, as a Sacred Daughter she's discovered she enjoys the chemistry in creating Breeding and Preservation Baskets and enjoys experimenting with dosages to find the right mix to allow things to thrive within the grassy confines of the tightly woven bags, to try and extend the shelf life of things within, in the case of truly premature infants so they can spend more time in the basket developing to a healthy foal state, or for foods to remain fresh or continue to grow and ripen within, or for prepared foods such as bread to continue to remain fresh, uses beyond that of the Sacred Motherhood. While still a Sacred Daughter, it seems she may potentially end up following a different but related path.
