Mimisbrunnr's entire experience with space was the terrible tragedy that was Mistral. Her amazement at the beautiful features of the labyrinth were marred because all she could picture was them splattered with blood, and that wasn't exactly conducive to being in awe of how lovely it was. So when she arrived on the Moon, she took a moment to be amazed. Even if it was all in ruins, it was amazing - and she felt a tug in her chest, a desire, suddenly, to go to her own Wonder and see it for herself. But she certainly couldn't run off to Mercury now, this was too important - and anyway, there was a part of her that was afraid. What if her Wonder was less this peaceful, beautiful sanctuary - or Babylon's warm and welcoming city - and more the terrifying death trap of Mistral? She wasn't sure that she could take that.
The second thing she noticed, once she was done marvelling at the beautiful place they had bene brought to, was the sheer number of people present here. That was just as warming and heartening - it was a thrill to know that there were so many people interested in bringing them all together. These were all potential allies, all people she could trust. Hopefully they would be people she could contact in cases of emergency, because - well, she couldn't call Babylon every time. That wasn't fair to him; surely he had other worries than one new, lost Page.
She was glad to see that everyone who had shown up was, so far, voting for the establishment of the Watch. Except...fascinatingly, for Hvergelmir. She would have to talk to the other Knight about that later - it was certainly incredibly curious, at least to her. Why would you come to the meeting and then abstain from voting?
She hoped that after an accidental, euphoria-induced kiss, they were close enough to have that kind of discussion. On the other hand, maybe that would be a reason not to. Oh well, too much worrying would get her nowhere, she would just have to suck it up and ask. The worst Hvergelmir could say was "I don't want to talk about it."
When it came her turn for a vote, there was already a majority, but she supposed that it wouldn't be the end of the world if she spoke up.
"Yea," she said, and then she fell silent again, waiting. She certainly had no reservations about either of the Executor (well, Executor and Executrix) nominations so far, and she wasn't exactly a Jovian to yea or nay Ganymede. She wanted to wait and see who else would put their names forward before casting her vote.

Horatio was having little difficulty in keeping track of the votes. Thus far, winner after winner voiced in various ways that they supported the idea. Scratch, scratch, for yes yes yes! It was still fun to keep score, though, just to see the numbers add up. Her tail flicked to wave her flag, and she was all in all pretty darned happy. A pretty, masked girl (Auriga) had even smiled at her. Surely there would be cuddles and congratulations to go around afterwards!
The abstaining vote made her ear flick back, but she did not hold it against the pretty lady. She wasn't saying no, afterall, just... not voting. If she didn't know how to feel, then Horatio was okay with that. She would have preferred everyone to be on board, but if that wasn't possible then at least no one was opposed. Other, more familiar voices took more of her attention anyway as some of the Jovians began to speak up. Which meant she had to speak up too!
"Oh, oh, I agree! Ganymede will be an amazingly awesome representative." She was more than happy to throw her support behind the super shiny winner, especially whenever Kallichore was the first to to do so. She gave up her game of scorekeeping and trotted to rub up against the Madness Senshi's legs, since she was the closest friend to her.
"I think Thraen'll be a great representative too!" The Mauvian wasn't sure he needed a second for his nomination, but in case he did, she was happy to provide!
The ride up to the moon had not been quite what Ash had been expecting, but then, the image in her head had been heavily influenced by Star Trek and the lack of swoopy wooshing was disappointing. Once Skadi was safely on site and ready for the meeting, the guardian had taken off to find more people for phone upgrades, only half listening to Thraen's proposal and the questions he fielded as she worked. She'd already heard it, already agreed with it, what more was there to discuss? It was Thraen's idea and that in itself was reason enough, wasn't it?
When it finally came to looking like majority had been reached and the volunteering process was starting, the Burmilla gave up on phone updates to dart between legs and over feet to reach the front of the assembly and the man stationed there with cat at his feet and on his shoulders. With his shoulders occupied, she had to settle for taking a seat in front of his boots, her paws set neatly with her tail curled around them, the perfect image of a little silver cat statue. "I vote yes to the founding and I volunteer myself for the council." She said as her tail twitched lightly. Green eyes smiled behind her visor as she addressed the assembled crowd, completely at ease with speaking to them as a whole. "For those of you I haven't met, my name is Ash and I'm the one that's been sending you all those lovely messages. I've also been updating the senshi primer with Kallichore's help and for those who missed the memo, I also have an update I have developed for your senshi phones. I think there are some of you out there I haven't assaulted yet, so if you'd like the update, let me or another cat know. I've shown a couple how to do it."
Well. There was her vote, her volunteer, and her qualifications out in the open for everyone to consider. Time to see who else would volunteer.

Megrez was in full starstruck mode. Everything just just seemed to be glowing, with the positives outweighing the negatives. If they worked hard enough, surely this project would survive and all its members would prosper... right? And as for the people that had already been nominated... they all seemed to be fine, strong, upstanding Senshi who would lead the Black Watch well. She had no idea who she would nominate, herself; the one strongest person she knew (Gunn) wasn't here, and Penthe... well, she was strong, but would she really be able to be on a council? In the end, she opted not to nominate anyone. "I vote Yea," she said, then added, "Also, while I don't have any nominations myself, I would like to voice support for the current nominees."
Athene had given Ida a small smile, when she reached where he had chosen to sit, returning her hug with a small one-armed one of his own before pushing the blanket that he'd snagged earlier towards her. He didn't say anything however, not wanting to interrupt the meeting going on around them.
Apart from Hvergelmir, who had abstained when her turn came along, all the other votes seemed to be agreement with the setting up of the BlackWatch and it didn't seem like it was long before a majority was reached. Thraen had spoken again at that point, turning the meeting to next part - the voting in of those who would act as Executors and Executrices, whilst keeping voting open for those who had not yet voted.
Athene had heard Ganymede put herself forward earlier when she had voted in agreement that the BlackWatch be founded and Thraen had volunteered as well - as an independent representative. Thraen had then been followed by Ash.
Both Horatio and an orange-haired senshi spoke up in support of those who had put their names forward so far and Athene waited until each had finished speaking before saying quietly "I would also like to voice support for those who have put themselves forward." He was silent for a moment before adding "And I would like to put myself forward as a volunteer as well."
He looked at Ida after he had finished speaking suddenly awkward, after all he hadn't discussed it with her - just come and said it. "Sorry I should have asked you first if you wanted to put yourself forward" he said in quieter voice than that with which he had spoken. "I won't oppose if you'd prefer to stand instead." In fact to be honest Athene would prefer it if Ida chose to offer to volunteer as the PSSG representative, after all he didn't really see himself as any kind of leader figure and he was dubious that any one would vote for him anyway, especially given the fact that there were more well known people gathered up on the Moon.

I bet that there's a story there... he told himself as others added their voices to the vote and he added their votes to his mental tally. I wonder what it is. However although a part of him wanted to go ask - wanted to badly go ask, he managed to keep his curiosity to himself figuring that now was probably one of those not now times despite him really wanting to know if there was a story behind the Cosmos knight's decision.
Mayhaps another time he told himself as he focused on tally keeping.
Eventually, however both Snowball and the Saturn Knight by him had voted Liryn realised that the yes votes had reached a majority and he couldn't help but bounce a bit happily on Athene's lap for a moment as Thraen once again spoke up, turning the meeting to subject of what he had called Executors and Executrices.
"I'm happy to support all those who have put themselves forward as well" he said, speaking in favour of the senshi with the interesting aura (Ganymede), Thraen's and Ash's offer to stand. He didn't immediately speak up when Athene volunteered himself, his proximity to the pair meaning that he easily caught the dark-haired senshi's comment to Ida and waiting to see what Ida said before making his mind up. After all h would be happy with either of them and personally thought that either of them would make a good Executor or Executrice - not that Athene appeared to be asking for his take on it.

It was tempting to give a cheer when the vote was resolved, but Irene knew that it was not that kind of gathering. If she knew more of the people present, then she might be more willing to inject that kind of levity. As it was, she was feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of it. Which was just stupid. This was something she was pulling for. The people who had shown up were a fraction of their cause. So why was she sticking on the sidelines like a wallflower?
At least there were a few familiar faces. And while Irene had only known Athene and Miss Ash for about an hour, she liked them both and had no problems supporting them. Thraen simply had to be part of this, of course. It was his idea, and she doubted that it could be properly executed without his continued guidance. She didn't recognize the other senshi who volunteered, but that also meant that she had no reason to withhold support.
"I would also like to offer my support for those who have been nominated," she said, trying to project. She wasn't sure whether it was a good time to mention her own team, and in the end decided against it. Thraen knew who she worked with. He could probably facilitate their introduction at a later date, if the other girls indicated an interest in this endeavor. And if not, she could support it on her own.

Bifrost listened quietly, nodding and agreeing with things. She sort of phased out for a moment, thinking about how she'd ask her grandmother about this whole thing. So when the nominations came to her, she sort of stared off into space before giving her answer.
"I'm happy to volunteer myself, and I support those who've been nominated! You're all awesome!" she said with a bounce in her jumping up and a smile on her face. Better later than never, eh?

DRAWING CLOSER TO A CLOSE EVERYONE. Final call for votes, final call for Teams to support their volunteers! My next post (after giving a chance for reactions) will summarize again, and then 'close/open' the rp again to general socialization and detail the 'official closing notes' for how people could be assumed to get home if they didn't already rp out ferrying down.
Let's get this party finished and get to work~
"To summarize, since its late and we're all sleepy, the nominations are: Ganymede, for the Jovians, with two endoresements of the members from that team of the present. Thraen, an independent representation, Ash, an independent representation, Athene, for the PSSG...if he is endorsed by that team? Bifrost, an independent representation?
Mathematically, with two teams formally represented, then two at least should be the number of the independents. Plus or minus one for an odd number to avoid deadlock..I would council the plus. 5 is still a nimble enough number to keep discussions varied but quick. It is also enough hands that the Executing Council can run two small missions at a time in pairs themselves if no other hands are available, or enact a full five member squad for emergencies."
"If Valhalla is in agreement for the Jovian vote? And the PSSG, please solidify your nomination? There are no public detraction on Athene's standing for you, but you are also welcome to put someone else forward. "
"And lastly if there are any last words of support or detraction from any of these members, numbering the reasonable five altogether, to be accepted as the first acting Council? If there are no detractions, then the Council is chosen. "
"The Council itself can arrange another meeting among its members to get the codification of policies under way. The minutes of this will be made available for everyone's perusal. "
"Lastly, once the PSSG and Jovian members are ratified by their team, there are some basic requests I would ask of everyone here-
Scan as many other members as you can while you are here. This is a chance to meet people, find allies and get contact information for future, hopefully less sleepy check ins. Please don't hesitate to ask one of the Mauvian's present for a moon pearl if you didn't get one at the Ferry, before being taken back to Earth. Over the next few weeks, take stock of your holdings, your time schedule, your personal belongings that you would have donated to other charities or left fallow. Get in touch with me sometime soon about the specifics of whats and wheres in the next coming month. It isn't as simple as just needing space or funding- security systems, traceable increases in energy use from power companies, differences in bank habits are all more to consider than just owning the thing and offering it for use. The Negaverse has an infiltration specialty division and we don't know how far they go into public infrastructure. Lastly, please visit your homeworlds for a quick evaluation. Be careful, be safe- arrange with a buddy to go with you in case something crumbles or there's a problem. We need everyone's help for pinpointing good initial targets for archeological work. We're looking for places with likely remnants of civilization. The technological level of our homeworlds and wonders differ. Some may have no systems of recording or remaining structures, depending on what end was met in catastrophe. Some will. We have to prioritize effort and expenditures."

TEAM VOLUNTEERS Valhalla's support for Ganymede? Ida's support for Athene on the PSSG?
The offer of a blanket warmed Ida more than the blanket itself and she settled in close to her friend with a feeling of relief. It had been too long and she realized she had forgotten once again that the team fought better together than apart... even if the battle was with themselves and not a real enemy. Taking comfort in Athene's presence, Ida shyly slid her arm around his and hooked their elbows together as she listened to the voices calling out votes and volunteers.
When Athene finally volunteered himself, Ida had nodded along, but his sudden reticence made her blink and glance over. Leaning in, she spoke quietly to him, preferring that this be between them for the moment.
"You're the leader of the PSSG, Athene, it makes sense for you to stand on this council. I can if you want me to, but I'm happy to have you do it. I'm not sure I'm the best choice, but if you'd rather not...?" Taking a leadership position had never been something Ida had seen herself doing. She didn't feel like she had the qualifications to be in charge of anyone or anything, but if it was needed, how could she say no? That's all Ida ever tried to do, fulfill the needs of the many.
"I support Athene to represent the PSSG." Ida said louder as she squeezed her team mate's arm, nodding at Thraen up at the front.

Liryn had swivelled to look up at Athene at Ida's words "You didn't tell me that you were the PSSG's leader" he said surprised. In fact from the way that Athene had put it he had assumed that the dark-haired eternal was just a regular team member. Still looking at Athene he added "And I agree with Ida with this, that it makes sense that you as team leader be the one to represent the team on the council."
Ida had already formally voiced her support that Athene be the one to act as the PSSG representative, but Thraen had asked that the team endorse him and even though it had never formally come up Liryn very much considered himself part of the team. Besides one more voice in support could only be a good thing and so he turned to look over at Thraen as he called out "I too support Athene to represent the PSSG."
To be honest, Athene wasn't entirely sure that he was the best choice to represent the team either, team leader or no and had only put himself forward because he felt it important that one of them stand. But although he would have honestly preferred it if Ida had decided to represent the team instead and would have quietly and happily stood aside had she voiced even a smidgen of interest in representing the team, he would never force Ida into doing something she was uncomfortable with.
So he had stayed quiet as first Ida and then Liryn had endorsed his nomination.
Uncertain as he was and as uncomfortable as he was with the idea of taking a leadership role, he really did believe in the idea of the BlackWatch and wanted it to work and so he told himself firmly that he would just have to put his best foot forward and try his hardest to make this thing work.
Thraen nodded, glad for the final supports for Athene from the PSSG, at least. The last endorsement for Ganymede was missing, but it was as likely that Valhalla had fallen asleep with how he'd looked before the meeting even started. Many of those present were getting wilted.
"Thank you everyone. The final opening council, with no detractions then- Ganymede, for the Jovians, Thraen, an independent representation, Ash, an independent representation, Athene, for the PSSG, and Bifrost, an independent representation. "
"If there are any questions please feel free to approach with them. ANy more suggestions as well, tonight or in the future. Along that line, again, I urge you all to scan each other in phones, get a moon pearl from one of the Mauvians, and exchange information with the Knights who are present. Our first jobs are ahead of us."
" Ferry runners, please show those who don't know how the process of moon travel as you take them back to Earth. You've all worked hard, your efforts allowed this strive forward. I cannot thank you enough. Everyone else, again, tour your properties or spare rooms and evaluate what you can offer access to and how, your time, money and spare supplies. Once we know what we have, we can start moving it, organizing it, and adding to it. We need stock piles for emergencies and for daily use. "
"And again, take a trip with a partner to your homeworlds looking for places with likely remnants of civilization, and let us know what you find. Every situation is different- ESID, is going to be a big motto of ours. Now lets wrap up. And every can try to get maybe an hour nap in before their day."
From this point it can be assumed that your character can have scanned/exchanged contact with any amount of the other characters with their players permission, to have grabbed a moon pearl from one of the present mauvians, or to have received a phone upgrade ( or arranged for one in the future) from one of the Mauvians.
Everyone has my permission to have exchanged with Thraen.
