You mentioned that you wanted RP with Skorga and Merikh, so I had him address her at the end of my post.

Was it just his imagination or did it seem as though the number of Mara that they were fighting was starting to thin? Before the battles seemed a lot more cluttered, with numbers that seemed more even or with the Mara seeming at times as though they had superior numbers. Now it seemed as though the Oblivionites might have taken that advantage away from them, allowing them to better focus without worry of being overwhelmed, "Keep at it men! The Mara are faltering!" Merikh called out to his unit, urging them forward, wanting to make sure that they were able to take that many more Mara down, to make sure that they were pushed back, beaten down, and not allowed to get their hands on anyone within the Oblivion City. The harder they fought the less likely it was that the Mara would be able to get there, meaning his parents, his grandfather, they would be safe. Not to mention he would be able to go back to them victorious! He hoped that his grand father would be proud since the man had enough faith in his abilities to make sure that he was given so many troops to command. All of troops, they were good, were powerful, were people that he hoped he would be able to fight the Orderites with one day soon.

Just as they had been doing for some time, a strategy that had been effective up, the twins were the first to throw themselves into battle against the Mara. The sounds of their hammers striking against the Mara's sold bodies reverberating through the battlefield. If nothing else at least he always knew where they were and where he should be heading when it came to finishing the cracked Mara off so that the twins wouldn't have to worry about the Mara trying to hit them in the back. Fighting along side of him was Yoyo, her daggers snapping forward rapidly, hitting dead center within the spiderwebs of cracks causing pieces of the Mara crumble away from their bodies, leaving them open to even more attacks by the various swordsman behind him.

He lunged forward toward one of them, sword raised, when he saw the cracks along its surface starting to patch themselves up. Not a good sign, it meant that the Crafters were nearby. After quickly dispatching the Mage Mara he whirled around, searching the area, before he lunged forward toward where the Crafters were standing, "Crafters! Valio, your with me! Lory, Yoyo, stay with the troops and help finish off the stragglers!" He called out, rushing forward with one of the twins to see about taking out the rather annoying healer types. Between Valio and himself he set about taking the pair out, looking around after he did so before he said, "It seems as though their numbers are lessening... are they retreating?" He asked of the twins, glancing over at the hammer wielder. Did they retreat? Were they that weak? The idea wasn't one that sat well with him, if anything it just annoyed him.

"Bah! It seems that they have gotten their cowardice from their creators." He muttered, lifting his sword up to rest it on his shoulder, "Hm, seems as though there are only so many left. I think we should see about trying to finish them off as many of them as we can. The fewer that run away today the fewer we will have to fight with tomorrow." Turning to look toward Igone he called out, "Igone! Aim for those who are retreating!" There was no reason to let the Mara escape, not when the ones that ran off might very well try to stab them in the back at a later date. He couldn't allow that to happen, not when it was his job to look after his troops.

Igone lifted a hand to show that he had gotten the order before he said, "You heard him troops, let's see how many of the more distance Mara we can deal with." It was harder for them to kill Mara out right given that they were strong against dark based spells but given some of them were still covered in the cracks that the twins had given to them they would give them a better chance to break a few of the Mara up and leave them unable to escape. It might seem a bit much but given the Mara were just toy soldiers Igone really didn't have much in the way of sympathy or pity toward the creatures. They were Aevah's defective dolls and nothing more he thought to himself as he called for his men to aim and then fire, sending a rain of magic and arrows down upon the Mara, able to break up a few of them at least though others were able to disappear into the dark woods. Once out of sight Igone saw them as lost and turned his attention to other Mara instead. No reason to give chase when the battlefield still had numerous targets to take advantage of.

It felt as though it less of a battle now and more clean up of the extras on the battlefield. No matter though, a win was a win, and Merikh and his group meant to finish up the battle as strongly as it had started. Only when there were no longer enemies to fight with would he seem about having his unit regroup and return to the Captain, to see what the man felt that they should do now. He wondered if they were going to pursue, to finish off the Mara that were still on Soudul... or would they follow them to Eowyn and finish them off where they came from? He was good either way, so long as he got his chance to see the end of the Mara then he would be happy.

Calling out to his group he said, "Let's see to everyone's wounds, we want to be ready in case we get new orders." He told his men, having the healers in the group tend to those with wounds. As they did that he went through and made sure that everyone was accounted for. Tired from the battle, some wounded, and all of them ready to go home it would seem as though everyone was here, something that had Merikh thanking to the Dark Lady Soudana for. That they had made it through at least this part of the battle against the Mara without losing a soldier was a miracle, as such he felt that he was going to find her a damn good tribute next time he brought Dragon Orbs in for her and Lord Draco. For now though he turned his attention back to his men, wanting to be able to celebrate this victory with them... as well as celebrate with the stranger that was in their midst as well. It would appear that somewhere along the longs they had picked up a little Khehora... but since it seemed that Igone wasn't bothered by it the little thing must have been useful, right? It might explain why those vines were acting so oddly during the fight.

Glancing down at the little Khehora he said, "We you be hanging out with us for a while?" They were mostly waiting on their next orders now so allowing the young one to hang around a while longer should be alright. So long as the Captain didn't tell them to send the Khehora on her way at least.

Orpheus Solon
We can continue this in a PRP if you wish!
Also, you'll get a congrats for all your hard work from your captain... and a snide remark from the LT's that the rich boy appears to be worth the price his granda paid for the rank. That's one reason he's not gaining a rank.. this was him proving he's good enough to keep it :3

Skorga looked up at him and gave a draconian grin with lots of teeth showing. "Sure." And why not? She was learning about teamwork! And gathering information on the closest neighbors to her clan... maybe she'd need secrets of theirs in the future!

"Why fight?" She asked the one next to her, the one called Igone. "Why rock move like that?"
