It ended up being a small bidding war between me and Ladyshi, but she dropped out after a bit. So as promised, she will get 10 of the Demonflies from my portion.
The great news is that I didn't end up using all 225 billion gold, so all contributors will get a portion of their gold back. I'll eat the brunt of the cost with the 126b that I promised to throw in, plus a little more. To be fair to the contributors, I will divide up the remaining 34b that I took from the pool so that the cost is shared. I will divide 34b by 4 people to make the math cleaner, which means I borrowed 8.5b from everyone involved.
So this is how the Demonflies and gold will be distributed and the reasoning: (all Demonfly numbers rounded up)
- Larka:
- -contributed 70b, which is 31% of the total gold pool.
-will be getting 16 Demonflies.
-will be refunded 61.5b.
CherryblueSky:
- -contributed 20b, which is 9% of the total.
-will be getting 5 Demonflies.
-will be refunded 11.5b.
LoyalWolf:
- -contributed 9b, which is 4% of the total.
-will be getting 2 3 Demonflies.
-will be refunded 0.5b 4b.
I will keep the remaining 27 26 Demonflies. As mentioned before, 10 of them will be sold to Ladyshi for the break-even price of 3.2b per. The 17 16 Demonflies after that will be distributed among interested guild members in a fair way (which I will announce at a later time).
Please let me know if there are any objections to this distribution. I'm leaving work now, but I'll start the trades. I'll finish up trades and address any issues when I get home.
EDIT: Tweaked the math a bit for LoyalWolf's distribution because what I originally calculated would mean he paid 4.2b per Demonfly, and that's not fair. So I added in 1 extra Demonfly and refunded more of his gold.
