Rikki's face screwed up in distaste as he thought about his parents. "Dad's a blacksmith. Pretty good at it, I guess, but I never really picked up the trade. Mom handles the money."

He watched quietly while the other two interacted, up until something fuzzy landed in his lap. His eyes went wide with excitement.



There was one glorious moment when he got to stick his hands in her fur and scratch along her sides before she was done with him and hopping onto the booth to visit the other guy - Alec. But it was beautiful for the second it lasted.

For a moment, Elliot mused over how lively it had suddenly gotten...and then he realized how sad it was that he thought that the presence two relatively quiet people and his cat was considered "lively".

With a little shake of his head, he gave a half-hearted shrug at Alec's words. "Tell her she's welcome, I guess. I just sell the things--my mom does all the work." Truthfully, he didn't even really do a good job at selling things, but he must have been doing some things right considering the fact that half of the floral centerpieces he had laid out at the beginning of the day were already gone.

If he seemed to notice the boys' excitement at seeing Seren, he didn't saw anything about it, but he did glance up at his cat and beckon her forward. Obediently, Seren rubbed up against Alec's hand before leaping back onto Rikki's lap...and promptly planting her paw on his nose once more.

"She does that," Elliot commented offhandedly before glancing between the two boys, "And looks like we're all in some sort of agreement about our parents. To be honest--I'm sure you can't tell--" His voice was dry, "--But I don't really want to be here right now."

He drew back then, giving Rikki a little pat on the back. "There, I'm done. Enjoy your numerous floral freebies, and watch our for bees..."

He listened to Elliot talking, and slowly nodded in agreement. "More so my step father..Mother and I are only strained because I'm considering trying out for the military..if they want me that is." He grumbled a bit moodily, resting his elbows on he booth and leaning on it sighing. "Well, even if you just sell..all the same. How are you doing otherwise?" He could see from his bored expression and not wanting to be at the booth just how THRILLED the other was, and diverted his attention to something else.

"They do.." he commented to Rikki reassuringly. "I'm not sure I've ever hair pins before.." he glanced between both of them hm'ing as if wondering if this was something he should consider.

As the other boy was being entertained by the cat he continued talking with them. "Yea, glad I can stop by and say hi and meet you as well.." he added quietly, looking a bit shy but agreeable not less.

"Wa?" he looked at the offered hair pin, giving him a look before taking the little pin and studying it. "Alright thanks.." he realized he didn't actually know how they worked but he did seem grateful for the offering. At the least Ashley now had an automatic new hair thing. He'd try his luck putting the pin on if he had a mirror perhaps before he forked it over.

With that he bid Elliot and Rikki fair well, thanking both this particular visit much shorter. He'd just come back another time.

Truthfully, Elliot was pretty relieved to see his friend return. While he had done a pretty good job of entertaining himself (and being entertained with Rikki and Alec's temporary company), it was nice having Bas back. Of course, that wasn't something he was going to admit aloud, but he was pretty sure that his friend knew anyways without him having to say it. Maybe that was why they were such good friends.

The boy's expression was unreadable as Bas revealed his gifts, one hand coming up to play with his earring as he stared at the kitty plushies--for the last time, Bas, his hair is not pink--and then the titan one.

...Good god that titan plush was creepy.

Despite the fact that he wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do with all of these--Bas was the one with younger siblings--he offered his friend a quiet "thank you" nonetheless. His tone was a little flat, but he did appreciate that Bas had thought of him while he was out and winning things.

And now that he was back, Elliot didn't feel too bad about slacking off a little. Leaning back in his seat, he let out a little hum. "So, did you see anything interesting out there?"

Bas got the impression that Elliot wasn't overwhelmed by the gifts he had been given, but then again his friend did manage to thank him properly. He at least knew that Elliot would keep them for a while before pawning them off on someone else. Anyways, Bas didn't have to carry them around any longer, and that was a small victory in his book. "Not really, just a bunch of booths... a bunch of crappy ones. Some decent ones, but mostly crappy. The win ratio on some of them are terrible." Yet, he still managed to walk away with a few prizes... that he had immediately bestowed upon his friend.

He was about to engage Elliot in more conversation when he heard a distinctly familiar voice that made his blood run cold. "Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t, it's Kody!" While Kody was a good friend, she, like Elliot's mother, would not approve of Bas being behind the booth as well and aiding his friend in slacking off.

Bas never moved so quickly in his life as he did then, dropping completely out of his seat and down underneath the booth. It was his only hiding spot, really... and he was beginning to wonder if half of his time helping Elliot out with the booth would be spent hiding in it to avoid detection. "Throw some flowers on me!" His best chance was camouflage, and he desperately needed it now.

People dodging in itself is an art, and with the 100 years celebration going on in full force her skills in it were being put to the test. She was not used to crowds, certainly not ones this vibrant, only seeing them when she came to town with her family to sell their goods. Somehow she managed, probably stepping on a few feet in the process.

Today Kody wore a sun dress, bright and vibrant in its colors as she was in personality. Under the dress the both would know she had some sort of shorts or Pants, Kody wasn't the super girly girl type enough to wear JUST the dress.

Seeing Elliot her face pulled itself into a full blown smile. "Hey Ell's!" She scooted her way to the side, second nature allowing room for interested parties to see the booth if they wanted to make purchases. "I see that, you must be really busy with this sized crowd around and about." Of course there was no one at his booth presently, but that didn't mean it wasn't always this way. In fact it was rather odd that Kody herself was not near her own families booth this time. " Have you seen Bas? I was sort of hoping he was here too..." She wanted to crack the news at them at the same time, but she didn't allow the disappointment to show on her face.

She did notice his odd posture however, frowning largely as his body was stumped over to one side deliberately. "Something the matter? Your sitting weird, did you eat something wrong and get an upset stomach?" It sure looked like he was sitting as if his butt hurt...
