Andrea gave an amused huff. "I do keep out of the business of others; if I employed an active thief it would reflect rather poorly on myself." Not to mention that if he was caught, the guards would likely try to hold her partly responsible. Some of them would do almost anything for a bit of extra coin...

"That's fine on both counts." Though she didn't approve of his earlier thievery, if she made him return the goods... Well, she didn't really know how he'd go about that without getting himself in serious trouble.

She blinked in surprise, both because she hadn't marked the street-rat as a military type and because it only took her a moment to catch what he hadn't said. "Of course I'll help you with your papers." Andrea handed him her bag, pleased. If he went into the military, she wouldn't have to worry about him falling back into hunger after the coin was gone... And they would teach him his letters.

"The name is Andrea Tanzer, of Sina."

Taking a break from minding his own booth, Axel was wandering through the crowds, stretching his legs. The book store booth caught his eye immediately. He did part time work for a small book store in Shiganshina, but the Trost Book Store! He'd never been, but he was sure it must be fantastic.

To his disappointment, there were no books on display in the booth itself. He caught the depressed-looking booth-minder's eye and greeted her.

"Hello, what's this all about?"

When she told him that the prize for scooping a goldfish was a free book, he couldn't resist the temptation. A free book! Axel loved books, and almost never had the spare money to buy them. Axel took the paper scoop carefully and eyeballed the goldfish. They were fast little things, weren't they? He made his move, going for one of the slower, dumber-looking ones.

"Damn! Sorry. Darn."

Axel scowled at the goldfish. "I can try three times, right?"

Hopefully his next try would be better.

The fat, dopey goldfish was still there. Hovering. Giving him the stinkeye with its googly little eyes. Axel frowned at it. He wasn't about to let some dumb goldfish stand between him and a free book. He would be able to pick the book up in Trost, too, and look at all of the other books for sale.

It was going to be awesome, and all he had to do was knock a dumb little goldfish off its high horse.

"You're going down, goldfish," Axel said.

He scooped with all of his might.

And caught it.

Victory was his.

He grinned at the booth-girl. "Caught one! And I didn't even break the scoop."

Lenore raised her eyebrows. Will wonder never cease? "Congratulations." She was even half-sincere, too. She turned to retrieve a voucher from the box. "Do you want a bag for the goldfish, too, or are you just leaving it...?" She asked, extending the piece of paper to Axel.

Today was a new day, and he'd have to try his hand at the fishing game down at the local bookshop again. So he reasoned at least as he took up his net, slipping over to the small little goldfish eyeing them thoughtfully.

The allure of a new book was just so tempting, and the male near him was busy shouting about having caught one. So it wasn't impossible at least?! Alec was doubtful, but willing to try. He lowered the net into the water, watching a bit impatiently mind you with high hopes of having better luck than yesterdays adventure.

The paper instead got slight wet having no success at catching the fish. "Ugh..not again." he lifted the paper out of the water glaring at it. Glancing at the boy who had spoken mere moments ago he nodded at him.

"You won, and get one more chance since that was two. Hey good luck!" he added quickly, smiling at his excitement.

Axel took the paper and looked at the goldfish. He would try again tomorrow and see if he could get another book voucher, and having a stupid goldfish in the pool would probably help. On the other hand, if he brought his sister a present as thanks for minding the booth while he wandered around, she would probably be happy.

"Sure, I'll take it," he said. "If you have a bag to put it in. I don't need a dead goldfish."

He grinned at Alec. "I'll try again tomorrow. I have to get back to my own booth. Try going for the fat ones, I think they're slower."

He shuffled aside, making room for the others trying their luck. A free book voucher! What an excellent prize.

Lenore nodded and retrieved another bag before handing it to the boy. What were they for, anyway?

The others grin had him nodding in response, acknowledging his response with a small smile. "Fair enough." Maybe if he won a fish he'd bring one home and let his sister keep it. Although he was pretty sure their big fat lazy cat Lily would eat the poor thing. "Thanks for the advice." He replied giving the other a small wave. So he was a booth owner as well? Perhaps he'd take a peek when he was done here.

Looking down at the fish he dipped his net in going for what he hoped would be a fat lazy and namely easy to catch fish. And much to his frustration it darted off splashing his glove a bit. A small frown of determination he'd have one shot left after this damn.

Last but not least he gave his attempts at fishing one more go. As much as he grunted and groaned internally he kept trying simply because he was stubborn. His eyes watched the fish seriously, trying to watch their little movements and patterns closely. Holding his breath, teeth set on his lower lip he reached into the water one last time.

The paper was getting soggy after all, and wouldn't hold up much longer.

Another bust, he let go of the breath he'd been holding and arched a brow at his misfortune. Well so much for that. "I'll see you tomorrow then?" He glanced up at Lenore, and while he hadn't said much to her he did smile at her.

Lenore looked up from her book and nodded silently. "Bye." She said with a wave before turning her attention back on her book.

Anton smiled as he went after a stupid fish again. "I am Anton Gottlieb, of Trost. You're from Sina? You're richer than I thought," he said, eyes focused intently on catching a goldfish. He didn't know what he'd with a book if he won it, but he knew he wanted it.

He was relieved that Andrea would help him with the papers, and even more relieved that she hadn't mentioned the obvious.

Andrea sighed and shrugged. "Yeah...?" She trailed off and gave a weak giggle. "Well, I'm not part of the nobility or anything..." Really, she wasn't; but she'd run into a couple of people within Wall Rose she'd made to mistake of telling who seemed to think that everyone in Sina was noble. She watched Anton as he focused intently on catching a goldfish, and hoped he'd manage it. Maybe it would give her an excuse to teach him how to read...

A sudden thought struck her. Anton was dirt-poor and wasn't even from Wall Maria... She was more than willing to bet that he didn't have a place to stay. If she wanted to make sure he had a roof over his head for the next week, they had best hurry to the inn she was staying at... "Hey, I think the inn where my lodgings are still have vacancies. We'd best be off to get you a room, because you are not sleeping on the street during festival week." And hopefully never again, if the military took him, but it was especially important for this week in particular, when she knew that criminals of all kinds would be lurking about. Turning to leave, Andrea slowly started going in the direction of the inn.

After the events of the banquet the other day he was feeling fairly content. It was with high hopes, and an upbeat mindset he figured he'd try his luck at the little fishing game again. Ducking his head into the bookshop he yawned a bit, tired from all the running around and limited amount of sleep. On top of playing games like this he had other responsibility that admit-ably were boring in comparison. Free for the now, he took his time selecting the least flimsy looking net. He'd offered to show his table guests around this area of wall Maria if they had wished. While Alec wasn't sure if they'd show up any time soon he'd get himself settled at least and give it a go in the mean time.

Even if he did finish his attempts for the day he'd wait with whomever showed up, either making small talk or taking a glance at one of the books around the store.

Unsurprisingly he missed his first attempt. Rolling his eyes he gave a small huff, his cheeks puffing up a little. Seriously how did anyone actually win at a game like this? Had he imagined the boy the other day?

It was the day after the banquet, and Andrea found herself meandering back towards the bookstore. While the festivities were entertaining, there was only so much she could do before she needed a little bit of downtime... And she'd already finished the books she'd brought with her! Maybe she'd try the pool once or twice, just for fun, but if she didn't win she'd just see if she could purchase one (or several).

Actually, come to think of it Andrea hadn't really been to that many of the stalls... She tilted her head a little bit, wondering if maybe she should try some of the other games before judging how many books she needed to keep her busy. The bookstore's pool in sight, she'd just begun to turn away when she saw a familiar face. She grinned. "Good morning, Alec!

Looking up from what he was doing he squinted at the girl, thinking about who she might be then realized he recognized her from the banquet table. She was one of the two girls that had been there initially. Too boot she was the one from Wall Sina wasn't she? Realizing he in fact did know the girl he gave her a way smiling at the other.

"Oh! Well hello again!" He greeted her blinking a bit.

"I have a couple more tries in me..but I was going to try my luck at a couple rounds of darts after this." He noted joining her and offering a friendly smile. "Good to see you again, how are you?" Alec still had his net in hand, but was momentarily distracted by the girl. Maybe he could ask her what sort of stance she had..or wait wouldn't that be rude? He was a fairly ignorant boy, and didn't really get that not everyone from Sina was royalty. He just automatically assumed.

"Miss uh..Andrea wasn't it?" The teen asked titling his head at her, looking thoughtful. The miss was attached assuming she was in fact just that, some kind of royalty or upper type.
