She took another bite of her sandwich, looking over when he placed a can of soda beside her. Smiling around her full mouth, she picked it up and took a sip, the liquid helping to push her food down. Letting out a breath, she looked over at him when asked how it was and she smiled and tilted her head a bit, "It's really good, I always knew you were handy in the kitchen." she said in a slightly teasing way, her rounded tail starting to dry.

He took a big bite of his sandwich, watching the waves crashing against the sand. He was musing to himself how could this day get any better. He was with his beautiful mate, on a beautiful beach and he was able to teach her something new. When she looked at him, he finished the bite in his mouth, swallowing and looking to her. At her words, he smiled but gave her a playful nudge. "Don't make me drop you in the water." He threatened teasingly.

She chuckled around a mouthful of food, a smile with puffed cheeks greeting him. Chewing and swallowing, she took a swig of her soda and let out a breath and she looked up at the clear sky, "Today is so beautiful, I love the warmer weather." she commented.

He ate more of his sandwich and chugged some of his soda, still watching the waves. At her comment, he smiled warmly, nodding. "Yeah... it's really nice. But not as beautiful as you are." He told her, scooting closer to her and gently leaning on her and kissing her forehead.

She looked over at him when he complimented her and then blushed when he kissed her forehead, a soft smile going on his face as she kissed his cheek and then leaned her head on his shoulder. Her tail, different looking then his, curled around his tail and she closed her eyes, feeling incredibly happy.

"What happened? Cat got your tongue?" He teased with a chuckle. He finished his sandwich and drink, putting the trash away in a bag that he brought along. With it out of the way, he leaned against her softly again, wrapping his arm around her and rubbing her shoulder lightly.

"Hey, I don't always have to say something back, can't I just enjoy the romantic moment." she asked teasingly, keeping her eyes closed and relaxing herself against him. The sound of the waves and the soft cries of the birds over the water helped to wash away the post-jitters of swimming.

"No! You HAVE to talk to me for every second." He told her, chuckling softly. He wrapped an arm around her as she relaxed against him, nuzzling the top of her head and watched the waves.

She playfully elbowed him, though it was barely a bump and she continued to just relax against her mate, her fur now nearly dry thanks to the sun and the breeze blowing by. She started to purr and feel a bit drowsy, still worn out from that swimming and with food in her stomach, and being relaxed, she started to doze off against Edwin.

He chuckled at her elbow to his side, giving her a light poke before going back to relaxing. He continued to watch the waves, nuzzling against her. It wasn't until hearing her breathing pattern change that he looked at her and saw her starting to dose off. He smiled and shook her gently. "I think it's time we head home."

She blinked her eyes open at feeling herself being shaken and she looked up at him when he suggested they head home. Yawning a bit, she sat up straight and stretched herself, her tail going straight and curling her tongue. Relaxing, she nodded as she rubbed the back of her neck, "Yea, that's probably a good idea. You gonna walk me home?" she asked as she moved to start cleaning up.

When she finally sat up and stretched, he smiled and got up, stretching as well. After that, he went and gathered their trash to throw away. At her question, he looked to her and nodded. "Of course I am. What sort of mate would I be if I made you walk home by yourself?"

"I don't know, I had to walk here all by myself just to find this place..." she said, tapping at her chin as she held an empty can of soda in her hand. But she smiled and nudged him with her shoulder as she helped gather up the trash, letting him know she was only joking.

He gave her a playful sneer. "You could have always told me when we were planning this trip that you wanted me to meet you at your place." He told her, sticking out his tongue at her before walking towards the nearest trash can.

His 'sneer' got her to laugh as she gave him what trash she picked up and she smacked his behind with her tail before he got too far. Then she got up and put away any food that could be taken back and closed up the basket, shaking the blanket free of sand before folding it back up.
