Ritic was in fact puttin up a struggle with the women takin him back to queen Kassie. "Let go of me!!!!" He pleaded and started having tears untill he was brought into the queens study then he shuts up in fear and starts quivering his cyan blue eyes keeping locked to the floor. Looking to Ephira once in a while. "I dont want to be here...." Hes nervous and afraid of the nations queen. Trying his luck he tries to make a break for it only to get caught by the queens spell and brought back in and has his wrists bound to an arm chair. "No!!!!!"

"You brought this on yourself youngster. If you would only listen to what I have to say, I wouldn't have to use force." Kassie growled. She hated his fidgeting and used a bit more magic to settle him. "Now tell me what your blood is." She demanded, her patience being tested yet again.

Ritic tried to get lose but seen it as impossible. "I-i'm only half elf! My mother was human! And You know that! Thats why you had my parents killed!" He whimpers. "Are you gonna kill me too!?" He wants to hear her himself say she didnt order it.

Kassandra lifted his chin, looking him square in the eye. "I never ordered their deaths." She spoke calmly. "And I have no use for you if you are dead. Now little Ritic. Do you not wish to know why I have taken such an interest in you?" She glanced at Ephira, motioning for the assassin to take part in some of the sweets and tea on a side table. She used a bit of magic to pour some for herself and Ritic, setting the cup on the table beside his chair. "I will unbind your hands if you do not force my assassin to keep you in this room." She said softly.

Ritic just sat there unsure of what to say but he slumps down in the chair. "Why?" His question was simple and short but yet it felt full of dred and regret. His eyes would stay down to the ground but every few seconds he glances at the display of sweets. Ritic could feel the tint in his cheeks redden a bit as his stomach growls after stareing at the sweets. *man i hate being poor....*

Ephira nodded and went to the table, poured herself a cup of tea and gathered the queens cup along with her own. She also placed a few of the finger sandwiches on a plate and set the plate on Ritics lap. "I could hear your stomach the entire way here." She smiled at him. "Sorry for being so rough with you by the way." She inclined her head toward Kassie, "Your tea, Majesty."
After Kassandra took her cup, Ephira went and sat on one of the massive pillows around the room, her favorite was always the green one. She wondered if the queen kept it for her, it was the only piece of furniture she never changed.

Kassie sighed and sipped her tea. "Please eat. You need to. I do not want you to be malnourished." She smiled inwardly at Ephira as the assassin took up the green cushion to rest. She kept it solely for Ephira and never had it removed, in case of times like these. "Now little Ritic. Would you like to know what purpose I have set aside for you?"

Ritic slowly ate the sandwhiches trying to with hold how hungry he actually was. But alas he couldnt for much longer. With out too much time he ate all the food infront of him. "What is it do you want with me?" He manages to squeek out while chewing on food. After his binds are undone he goes straight to the food table and stuffs his plate and sits down on the floor by Ephira eating the sandwhiches.

Kassandra smiled. "I want you to be my personal servant. Of course you will be paid. All you really must do is accompany me when I wish for your presence. You will get a room here and three meals a day. Clothing as well. And training in any of the trades you wish." She sipped her tea, watching the boy. "Of course, Ephira, I will be paying you to teach him to use a dagger and small weaponry. The boy must be able to defend himself." She said softly, trying to make the job as appealing to Ritic as possible.

The thought of food itself excited him but the deal as a servant didnt excite him as much. "Im not sure your Majesty...." Ritic looked down to the ground at his dirty rags called clothes and he whimpers.

Ephira understood the boys uncertainty. Her sister felt the same way when the queen offered her a job here. "Ritic, servant is merely a term. You'll have quite a lot of freedom, so long as you do your job. It's a much better life than the one you are living now I assure you. My sister has never been so happy."
She put her hand on his shoulder, "And if you are one of the queens favorites, as it seems to me you already are, nobody will give you a hard time. No more running or scrounging for a semi-decent life. This opportunity is to better your life." She smiled "And besides, you fight terribly and I would love to make you better."

Kassie smiled, happy that Ephira was helping her. She did favor some of her servants and they led lives that were often better then some of the nobles. "Young Ritic, I assure you. You will be treated well. There is nothing bad about this job that I offer you."

This is when Ritic's face darkened. "My life has never been close to decent... And what of the other orphans in my village? They deserve much more then I..." He stood up and set his plate and drink on the table. "I need at least two days.... One to clean up my home.... And the other to pack what I need." He stares at out the window to the many people on the ground.

Ephira frowned. "Why would you need two days for that?" This boy was so difficult to negotiate with. "If you need the days and plan on going home, I'll accompany you there, and I'll either bring you back with me if you say yes, or I'll bring you back with me to tell her majesty no in person." She didn't mean to come off as if she didn't trust him, but so far all he had done was try to run away. If Kassandra was so invested in having him in her company, then she would make sure she tried her hardest to keep him on the track to saying yes to the opportunity he was being given.

Ritic turned to Ephira and gave a glare. "Im cleaning out my fathers 5 bedroom house which hasnt been cleaned since their murder! And I plan on giving my Fathers house to the other orphaned children like me!" Ritic didnt mean to snap at her and get defensive. "It alone would take two days for me to find the children again. But since i already know where they hide from this festival every year it wont cause an issue. And Believe it or not I've got alot of sentimental things at that house..." He bowed to Kassandra and left the room.
