The glimmer of light was hard to ignore. Hopefully it was the same shimmer as the one you'd seen last night falling from the sky, but even if not light meant something. They didn't just come from nowhere.
It did not take long for you to find the source of the glimmer.
A figure crouched in the distance, looking down at something cupped and cradled in it's hands. Through the light of the moon and street lamps it was easy enough to tell that it was a person. A young man at that, and one without any sign of a powered aura. And he was looking at something very interesting. And very shiny.
I chose B
There it was again.. that feeling.. that you felt last night. Surely following after it was the best bet and would lead you to whatever it was that had fallen out of the sky.
The silence of the night was broken by the deafening rattle and scrap of the nearby bushes before the branches attached were ripped asunder shotting wildly outward as a youma emerged. The creature, looking ironicly quite canine, was nonetheless a dangerously impressive sight. Foam dripped from it's mouth full of razor sharp teeth. It was a creature of pure muscle. Pure muscle that was jerking violently about in a motion as crazed as the gleam in it's crimson colored eyes.
This youma wasn't playing around. It seemed to want nothing more than to tear apart anything and everything in it's pathway. And a bunch of cats tasted a heck of a lot better then some dead bush.
BATTLE!

Yes! That was definitely the aura she had been feeling last night. Surely if they followed it, they would find out what was going on around here. Sadly, it seemed they were not alone in their search and danger had been lurking in the bushes.
The monster that flew out of cover sent Ash leaping up into the air with a yowl, her back arched and her fur puffing out to make her twice her size. It was too close... she couldn't escape it... Acting out of fear and the need to save herself, the silver cat latched onto the things face in desperation and tore at it with her claws, all the while letting out screeches to break the ears of anything nearby.
The further that he padded after Ash the more certain Liryn felt that following the aura was the way to go - after all he'd felt something the previous night when the shiny rocks fell and the aura did feel kind of similar - or at least that's what he'd convinced himself after a bit of walking - and so the best way to find the rock would be to track down the aura.
There was a rattle and scrape of something just up ahead and Liryn had put on a little trot when he was alerted to something being wrong by Ash's yowl... And then he saw the source and understood - it was a youma - a big dog youma. Still Liryn wasn't about to leave the visor-wearing cat to deal with it on her own and after a called out "Watch out!" in case Sheena was following up behind he launched himself towards one of the thing's hind legs - his intention to bite - hard.

"Nice to meet you too Etoile" The whit ecat purred as he walked towards the feeling and suddenly. Snowball sighed as he suddenly sat down looking at the bush unamused. "I'm not sure this is...." He stopped as he watched something emerge, welp this might just be what the -- ..... dog. He sighed and dropped his head, "Dumb dogs."
At least he'd had experience with these. "Be careful of the teeth." He whispered to the smaller kitten. Already noticing two other cats battling the youmadog. "How about a paw of help?" He called to Ash and Liryn.
Snowball aimed his claws towards the youma's face hoping to hit the nose. His fur fluffing up and well... he looked like a furious ball of flurried snow. With added hissing and spitting.
No, no, no! That damn Mauvian was a blight on their whole species, Rhys was sure of it. A particular thorn in her particular side, at least - again. It was certainly conceivable that the sparkling lights of the meteor shower should attract other beings such as herself; indeed, she had sensed the gathered auras the closer she had gotten to the park. What was wholly deranged was that fate saw fit for her to come upon it anywhere near the flame-point terror. There had been trashcans and all means of back-alley gunk involved in the initial scuffle, leaving her paws and most of her tail tinged with the stuff. Everything came out in the wash anyway.
"A common ruffian and nothing more!" she spat at her enemy as they emerged into the open air. This attitude was quite unlike her and highlighted just how far the wedge had been hammered in between the two.
Rhys fought her enemy all the way into the park, sporting a nice cut along her shoulder for the effort, her white fur taking a pink tint around it. "So many of us are gathered," she noted with sweeping glances as their growls and claws continued to fly. The band of Mauvians tickled her curiosity, but it was only this White Moon fluff that sealed her attention. She would wait until the others did something, then. They may have gone on to miss much more, but then there was a glimmer that cut through the night there now. A unique glimmer, for it brought down the Chaos-touched Mauvian's offense entirely. There was enough fight left to keep the small thing away and nothing more, so stolen was her attention. Wasn't this why she was here, after all? The greater purpose. She struck out suddenly, all of her anger put into one large swipe, and Rhys was off to investigate in its wake.
...Oh? An ordinary human, perhaps? The ragamuffin tilted her head, magically reaching out to be doubly-sure that no aura emanated from him. So curious, given his current state... his current possession. Rhys wiggled her way to the front of the group, approaching him as she spoke kindly and candidly, "Hello there. What brings you here tonight?"

The tiny Mauvian emerged from the alley with a cracked goggle and a satisfied grin. Blood from a gash on her forehead, near her bronze star, trickled down over the bridge of her nose and down to her faintly red muzzle. Oh, it hurt. It hurt worse than the time she had run into a glass door thinking it was open. From rolling in the much and the trash spilled out of dumpsters, she reeked of left over Chinese and sour lemons. But the pain, the stench, the burn in her muscles and the stickyness of her fur was all worth it for the sheer irritation that she heard in her opponent's voice.
It was that ragadoodle's fault in the first place! Horatio had been minding her own business--for once--and inverstigating the meteors that had streaked across the sky. Then that loser had come around, her presence cold as a tossed out slushie. That it had been the loser that tried to steal way Syrinx had just made the inevitable spat all the more satisifying. Now, with the blue-and-white coward running off to where the hell ever, the Himalayan was free to survey the scene before her!
... and what a scene it was. Mauvians, Mauvians everywhere, Chaos ones and Order ones, small ones and big ones, fat ones and scrawny ones... more Mauvians than she had ever seen in her whole life, all gathered in the park! There were basically two ways to go. One path promised something shiny and intriguing. That was the way that her bleeding "friend" had gone. The other... well, there was no mistaking that youma stank.
It was a hard decision, but Horatio was nothing if not quick. Savage, foamy dog beast that threatened fellow winners was ultimately more important than anything shiny and way, way more entertaining. Her claws already had some blood on them, and a little bit more wouldn't hurt her any. If others were fighting then, well, she was sure going to fight too! (She would have been just as happy chatting with all the others whose auras shone so bright, but that didn't seem an option.)
In a blur of cream, she dashed forward and sprang directly for the ]canine with her usual reckless abandon, "GERANIMO!"

Thetis looked absolutely horrified when ********* moved her head toward him and nuzzled her cheek against his muddy fur. Immediately the chocolate covered animal cracker jumped back, his fur trying to stick up under the extra weight of the mud. Wide green eyes, Thetis' whiskers twitched as he withdrew his head away from his companion and proceeded to shake his head.
"No, no, no, no, no, *********>, you mustn't do that!" He screeched.
Unable to further elaborate, soon a deafening rattle and scrapping began to fill Thetis' ears until that was all he was able to focus on anything else. The small body became defensive in his fear, and when the shape of a youma canine came into his view, his fear got pushed aside by a different feeling. The need to protect his companion *********, as a proper gentlemen would, rushed through the smaller feline's body.
With ********* in front of him, and an easier target than he was for the canine youma, Thetis jumped in front of her. He stared the canine down, considering his options, but fear greatly hindered his thoughts. He may be intelligent but he was but a small cat against a really, scary dog that wanted nothing more than to tear them apart.
"I'll... I'll protect you *********!" He announced hesitantly.
What would Psyche think of him if he was unable to protect the cat she loved so much more than him? Part of him considered the idea of a world without ********* in the way but he couldn't bear such a tactic... it went against his very gentlemen ideals! He would get Psyche to love him. He would get her to choose him!
His body still did not move but he seemed to be making an active effort to prevent ********* from crossing paths with the canine. Small, sharp breaths caused the small body of the guardian cat to raise and lower as his eyes darted back and forth as other guardian cats fought the canine. He stood guard, he did what he could but it wasn't until the canine got a little too close to the two of them that Thetis leapt at the canine.
He wasn't as big as he wanted to be. He wasn't as strong as he wanted to be. He wasn't as clean as he wanted to be but by golly he was going to be as brave as he needed to be. He went for the canine's face, hoping to wound its eyes or nose. If he could just get rid of one of the youma's senses then it would help, wouldn't it? Oh, he had no experience with these things!
The manx's ears pinned back as her companion decided to screech about her rubbing up against his cheek. "I promise, Thetis... it isn't that big a deal..."
She was clearly cut off when she finally noticed what had set off her senses. "....a youma? I wonder what it's doing here...?"
Apparently the Mauvians had been right in researching this whole meteor shower. It might not necessarily have been a trap, but the fact youma were searching about meant that there was something to the whole ordeal. It could still be a trap, but that was something to think over when there wasn't such immediate danger.
...Which Thetis had decided to jump into.
"...Oh dear..." she sighed before she seemed to follow suit with the black Rex. Where as Thetis had gone high with the face, the chubby manx went low, claws extended to swipe at the legs.

Choice A - Strange dude
The man's eyes had been unbroken in their gaze as the shining stone cradled in his hands. It was as if he was in a supernatural awe of what he was looking at, but his attention snapped immediately outward as a voice called to him.
Cat...? The small pack of cats watching him was unsettling and weird. And had one of them talked to him? Maybe it was just a trick and there was someone else around. He leaned subconciously backwards, his hands starting to close over the stone protectively.
"Get away. Leave me alone!"
Choice B - youma
Damage done - 43
They came from so many directions the youma hardly had time to react. Multiple cats came straight at it's face, to which it simply opened it's jaws wider, hoping to grab one of them in the process. Fortunately for it's assailants claws to the eyes and sensitive facial parts was pretty distracting. And stepping back wasn't really an option as pin like teeth sunk into it's hind leg, pressure and claws careening as well into his front legs.
The youma stumbled, crying out in the pain before it popped up again, giving a hard shake to try and throw all it's opponents off of it. Jaws snapping furiously, claws raking out wildly in a berserker-like fashion.
The battle continues!

Lyssa was about to plant another sodden pink tongue on Cora's face when Rhys comment caught her attention. She hadn't see the man herself having been fixated on the cream guardian but now as Rhy's spoke out to the human she felt her fur begin to stand on end. It was like a cold wind had suddenly swept the warmth from her body and the voices that were a constant background noise in her mind turned into a frenzy of yelling and screaming. Something wasn't right, and not Lyssa "not right" but really not right! Like right but...wrong! She had to tell the others, but the chattering in her mind was deafening and instead of speaking she began to whimper, her tail becoming bushy and rigid the more she fought to speak aloud. Liryn was appreciative of the fluffy white cat's (Snowball) offer to help him help out Ash, but although he wanted to now wasn't the time for either thanks or introductions- not with the youma there and violent and tearing up the place, though he did make a note to thank the other guardian cat once the youma was finally dealt with.
He managed to sink his teeth into the thing's leg, although not as hard as he'd have liked, although it seemed other cats had come and had jumped into the fray. He couldn't see all the newcomers, but one, a silvery grey furred cat (*********> seemed to have had the same idea to go for the legs - and it seemed to be working, the thing definitely seeming to be weakening even as it lashed out in a flurry of claws and needle sharp teeth.
Liryn did his best to try and avoid both claw and tooth as he went for the hind legs again trying to rake the youma with his own claws. Failing that he could always try biting again - sometimes there was no help for it and bad things needed a hard bite or two.
Snowball ended up tucking into a roll away from the dog before stopping on his feet. Shaking out his fur from the grass and few leaves that stuck he looked at his fur and then to the mutt.
Still fluffed he ran as fast as he could and aimed for the youma's back hoping to rip his claws down it's fur and bull ride it. "Taste Claws Dog!" He shouted, the white cat might have been waiting for a moment to use that line.

"*********..." He whispered as he landed after his first attack and witnessed ********* attack as well.
Thetis was pleased with himself and less pleased with his efforts to protect *********. It might have been all out war against this canine youma but Thetis wanted to be the man. He wanted it to be like one of those overly dramatic romance movies where the man saves the day and the girl just swoons in his arms. He wanted to feel like that, even if ********* was totally a thief.
He didn't have growing feelings for *********, nor did he adore the way she stuffed cake into her face. No, nothing like that. He just wanted to feel strong, and manly, and witness her cute, fat face thank him for all his hard work. Was that so much to ask for? Okay, maybe he could see why Psyche liked ********* so much... not that he was going to admit it! How dare his emotions get so conflicted! He was only going to make sure nothing happened to ********* for Psyche's sake! Nothing else!
Down on the ground next to ********* now, glanced at her briefly, a strange look in his eyes. He wanted to say something. He wanted to tell her that she should be more careful. He wanted to insist that she let him, the man, protect her. He had so much to prove and she wasn't making it easy. He found himself unable to say anything though, his thoughts pulled back to his previous confession and how she still attacked the canine as well. Could he protect her while she also helped? Sure he could! Did he see it that way? He sure didn't!
Rejection.
She didn't want nor need his help! No one did!
He wouldn't give up though! He wasn't going to have ********* go back to Psyche and tell her what a coward he was, or how easily he gave up. Once again, he found himself standing between ********* and the canine, this time going for the canine's front legs or chest area.
Once the legs had been attacked, the manx had swiftly moved herself out of the beast's reach so she couldn't be attacked in retaliation. She might have been in the form of a feline, but she was experienced in the ways of fighting like this.
The other cats seemed to also be doing well, and the youma seemed to be having trouble holding its own. These were all good signs, causing the chubby manx to smile and giggle a bit.
She didn't catch Thetis' eyes upon her. She instead seemed to watch as a fluffy cat (Snowball) and Ash struck again. It was only when her companion went back in for round two that she did the same.
He went for the legs like she had earlier, which made it more difficult to go for that spot. However, most animals had a soft spot known as the belly. Puffing in a huge breath of air into her little lungs, the tailless Mauvian dove in to attempt dipping under the beast's belly to give it a quick swipe before scrambling back out again.
