This... wasn't real right? The ghoul willed herself to summon an icy spark into the air, but nothing happened.

It took a while for her to register the words floating over her head. FrozenFlower. Was that her nickname now? How embarrassing.
The ghoul took her first few steps through the woods, and immediately sensed that something was off-balance -- she had wings? When- To add on to the confusion, a spontaneous flourish of her hand had somehow summoned a giant polearm of sorts.
Now, she had lived this long knowing for a fact that she was not a reaper. So this had to be a dream. Whether or not it was a bad one, she'd find out for certain.
...Though with this get up for a change, she may actually get to hit things and not be called out for being unladylike.

Somehow, she arrived back at the grumpy tree. Still, there was no way that she was going to approach it, especially considering the fact that it was still shouting warnings at everyone who was getting a little too close.

9: You reach a tree with a lot of signs on it. The signs read "This, Way, To, Nowhere, And, Everywhere." They are in separate signs, and the "And" is a separate sign of its own. This is a very informative tree!
Ch33p made a point to follow each sign a little ways further into the forest, to see if they should lead anywhere particularly interesting, but each time she found herself too curious to investigate another before she got too far. Eventually she lost interest in the signs and decided to go find another tree to talk to.

To be fair, one couldn't exactly blame Nightbloom for being a little wary to have a tree suddenly request that she grab it and shake it. It definitely wasn't something that she faced everyday, after all, but...goodness, why not? This place was already so odd that a talking striped tree asking to be shook seemed to be one of the least weird things here.
At least it was polite.
Moving forward, she gently took hold of its branches and proceeded to fulfill its request, her lips spreading into a little grin upon hearing it laugh. Oh, that was actually kind of cute!
She stopped only when it abruptly dropped some sort of object for her. Stooping down to pick it up, she examined it curiously before offering the tree a quiet thank you, wishing it a good day as she proceeded back to the signpost to turn in the quest.

He didn't have to go far when the tree asked him again, what it had in it's mouth.
"A piece of this?" He pointed, "You have more?" And then it spit one again. He frowned and took it, looking around. I suppose I shall take this then.

The ghoul found herself drawn towards a rather conspicuous signpost that told her to examine some of the trees around the woods. She could interact with them, apparently.
It didn't take long for her to find one that was sniffling away, its branches bending downwards towards its face.
<Sure I'll help you!> she replied, not having the heart to see the tree cry.
It might be a long search in these woods ... she mused.

"Thank you, oh my goodness, thank you indeed. Here, have this." It gives you a fragment and insists on giving you a hug, but the hug is very prickly and not very nice at all. +1 Fragment.

UT was looking for trees, she hadn't expected them to be tiny, she nearly tripped over a tiny tree. Luckily she flung her hands out and kept from falling on it. She stared down at the tiny tree with it's smiling teeth and felt her own lips quirk into a matching grin. "Guess what I'm hiding!" "Ooh a guessing game! Hmm, Fruit?"
"I'm hiding something in my mouth!" "In your mouth? Then I guess...OH!"
She watched as the tiny tree opened it's mouth to reveal a fragment, her hand reached out and she snatched it up quickly. Sadly moving so fast made her lose her balance and she landed in the dirt. She laughed and stood slowly brushing herself off and grinning as she examined her fragment and then hastily tucked it away and went in search of more trees. +1 Fragment

the0racle stumbled upon a new tree, and this one seemed to be in a much better mood. In fact, it would be rather normal if it wasn't talking to her, but that didn't seem all that strange in the the long run. "Wait, what?" she asked, trying to get the tree to repeat the question for her, because she had no idea what it was rambling on about. Obligingly, it repeated the question.
She was still confused. the0racle pondered over the question for a few more minutes and then, feeling even more frustrated, stomped off to find a tree that was more interesting, or would say more than one silly question to her.

7: You reach a tree stump and it isn't able to talk because it is a tree stump. It makes a great item for sitting though.
Despite being surrounded by trees, Ch33p was finding it difficult to locate another one that spoke. She found a tree stump and clambered on top of it, hoping that a higher view point might garner better results, but alas her efforts were without merit. Sighing dejectedly, she flopped down onto the splintered wood to rest for a moment before picking another direction to head off in.

Her gaze traveled over her outfit and unusual environment. 'What a strange place...' She thought to herself as she trekked forward just enough to see past the trees to get a better understanding of her surroundings. Nothing like home but... It intrigued her in a way a small child found a new room. New, unknown and ready to be sought out of every nook and cranny.
And Aureole was ready to tackle this place. Her wings had stayed, thankfully and she had to admit. This was a pretty sweet outfit. Light and airy, just how to liked her outfits!
The AI she had conversed with had pointed her into this direction and it seemed a task was needing to be completed. "Hmm... Wondering if these trees could possibly drop anything worth keeping?"

Flighty with a spring in her step, Aureole isn't one to stay still. Don't let that cute face fool you, she's ready to fight and is willing to jump when she needs to, even if it does end up messing up her auburn locks. Her black and red, light-weighted armor helps with her jumps and makes her easier to move when necessary.
Honestly, Chris wasn't particularly fazed by the weird spin his dream took. He'd have preferred more happy endings and less hypnotic spinning and falling, but he wasn't going to be picky about what happening the few hours of sleep that he got.
His new surroundings were a little surprising. It had been a while since he'd sat down to really play a game, though he missed it. But it was like greeting an old friend as he went through every decision with the AI. Games never really changed that much. Username, class, stats. Basic info about gameplay. Mindless and familiar.
He paused for a second to think over his username and cackled quietly to himself as he chose something suitably dumb.
TotallyAllan was born.
He peered around the area as he finished up the process and noticed that it seemed to be the classic newbie starting point. Everyone was dropped into the same place to learn the ropes and wander aimlessly. There was noise everywhere and chaos as quests began and ended. He could see some other players just finishing up their set up like he was, seemingly weird and frozen. It was kind of nostalgic.
He passed by most people and went straight for the giant yellow exclamation point.

She could see that there was no just stating a fact that would answer this riddle. "I don't know."
She leveled a gaze at the tree, eyes squinting as she rounded the tree to continue on her way.

It appeared that Jack had found herself in another weird a** situation, though how and why she had ended up here she hadn't the foggiest idea. Somehow she had fallen down a hole, and after making a name of herself (or a alias in her case), she was now in front of a talking sign wearing some very classy new clothes.
She had to pause and admire her large captain hat with his feathery boa, then put it back on to listen to the talking sign. Oh yeah, she forgot that this forest was crazy as heck. But the sign post had mentioned going on quests and leveling up. She liked leveling up, because that meant she got stronger. And with the hint that there would be monsters to fight and treasure to gain, she was completely sold and ready to fight all the things.
But first, she had to go talk to some trees.
