True dat, Playa. I love God. Also, his son Jesus is my saviour. Stfu If you want to trash my religion, people, because I don't trash yours (unless your in a freaky cult or some s**t).

So you're saying cults are wrong? That's mightily un-Christian of you, to not be accepting of the faith-based beliefs of all others.
Christians are suppose to be loving and tolerant

Although I was corrected, the point still stands. She was still being contradictory to her own belief. She showed intolerance... simple as that.
Um militant Muslims are intolerant, and people who try and smother others voices are intolerant. She sidnt say she wouldnt talk to peoples in cults or something or shun them or kill them she just said they were freaky maybe bias but NOT intolerant.

I don't see what militant Muslims have to do with this girl. You pulled that one out of your a**~

Last I checked, a bias was a form of intolerancy. Although milder than blatant intolerancy, it's still a form of it.

By the way, I do believe there is a God, but it's totally different for me. I have my own personal faith which I believe to be unique.

I don't wanna summarize it right now, but a good summary of it is on the last few pages of the topic called "Chirstanity" (not "Christianity").

One of the things I find interesting about religious debates is that the people who want others to listen to their beliefs, rarely want to listen to other's beliefs. This includes Christianity, other religions, and atheists, as well.

First off, I'm finding it somewhat ironic that certain people are coming onto a thread like this and yelling about Christians shoving God down their throat.

So, is the creator of the thread standing behind you with a knife at your throat, forcing you to read it?

Do you not have the ability to make the decision to skip this thread and read something else instead?

If you hate the thought of God, then why are you here? The subject header should have been enough to warn you what kind of debate this is, so if you're here, of your own free will, who else can you blame but yourself for choosing to read it? The creator is not shoving anything down your throat. Seems to me you're gulping it down willingly just by participating in this discussion.

Unless, of course, certain people are just deliberately attempting to pick a fight. stare

If you (and by "you" I mean general, not specific) come here and start accusing people of forcing their opinions on you, and claiming that they don't have the right to do so, are you not guilty of the same thing you're accusing them of?

Why do you have the right to express your disbelief of God, and yet they don't have the right to express their belief of God? Isn't that being as intolerant of their beliefs as you claim they are being of yours?

You know what that's called? Hypocrisy.

As for there being definite proof of God's existence, well, wouldn't having proof sort of undermine the idea of having faith that he exsists, even without proof? That's the entire basis of Christianity, to know and believe with your entire heart that God exists, even when the rest of the world would do its best to disprove it.

And I've got a headache at the moment, so I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead before I start making even less sense than normal. xp

Somehow I don't think using the Bible is the best way to convinve atheists to believe in God.... Hmm.

And I should care why?

I always thought that an atheist, had to know all the religions and respect them and understand how they work, and in so doing, they discover that no realigion is better suited for themselves, so they become atheist. I can see that you don't think that way. It's kind of obvious that your rather closeminded and you don't believe in a god so therefore you don't have a religion. The fact that you don't have morals (as it says in your signature) is appaling. Any person without morals, is without truth. If you have no sense of what's right, how are you going to care abut your life and what your value is to yourself? I don't understand people like you and i never will.

Just a simple fact, people that believe in 'God' tend to be more closedminded.

The way I see it, if God wanted me to believe in them then they would have done something about it.

I seriously dont get you people saying God is so loving and forgiving. But in the same breath you're like "You can only get into heaven if you believe in him. Athiests burn in hell." So let me get this straight. This random dude decided to create us and call us his children and says he loves us. Then he's like "Okay I'm gunna give you guys some hints to my existance but will never fully reveal myself so you have to figure out if I do exist or not. If you decide I dont exist you will burn in hell where your soul will be torn apart for eternity. Okay? Go!" Seriously, I just dont buy that.
lol, good point....

Wrong. Totally and uterly WRONG.

God created us because He was lonely (or something like that) Angels were made to be servants of Him we were made to be more like His children and friends, hence the spiritual relationship stressed by many Baptist and Protestants.

When Satan rebeled against God he was sent unto Earth which at that time was simply a large ball of water and later after he created Adam and Eve and told them the simple rules not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and then they did anyway because of temptatin and then were corrupted by the evil and were made also to die as punsihment as God fulfilled His promise/threat but instead of having them die on the spot he let them just have a limited life and feel pain throughout as punishment. Yet after this He still made a way for them to be with Him after death, though their sin seperated them from Him during life.

God is merciful even after promising to kill them He let them live and still merciful enough to let them be able to be with Him after death and not only this but forgave us for all our sins and sent His son to die on the cross and rose again so we praise a living God.

As you can see it originally wasn't a guuessing game but our sin has seperated us from Him.
huh?

Wrong. YOU FAIL.
Can you prove that there was an Adam and Eve, without being a Bible thumper?
I shall prove there wasn't by using logic. Adam + Eve = Two sons. Two sons + ? = Entire human race. Bullshit. And if you try and use that weak excuse that there was another woman. 'God' created Adam and Eve, and only Adam and Eve. That just proved your entire statement false, along with parts of the Bible.

Stupidity Simplified: The more general a prophecy the higher the chance of it being realized. The Bible gives no timeframe nor any specific names, and so over time the chances will play out and those that are not yet realized are given until the end of time to be so. Another doing is that they give you a malleable shell for you to later on fill it in with the details of reality: prophecies are templates; which means it wasn't designed for the event in any actuality, but for the possibility of such an event.
