Rose lightly nodded his head following the conversation. He understood being something of a perfectionist when it came to his work. "He sounds like an awesome guy. Can't wait to come down there and meet the staff as well then. They sound like a good group. Plus it would do me good to start going out again."

He remembered the bartenders questions and his answer about the mint drinks. "Yeah, I love mint. A chocolate mint mojito sounds wonderful. Then again my brother is the one that's the one crazy about chocolate..." Chocolate Orchid lived up to his name, making chocolate flowers. Any chocolate drinks that Fruit could make would certainly be loved by him.

"'Different strokes for different folks,' dude," Roc laughed. "I'm not entirely sure this is a good place for overly serious guys. That Reaper guy looked like he wanted to kill us all. Not sure that's the kinda attitude that'll land you any kind of date."

Roc inspected the wine glass before taking a rather generous swig from it.

"If you write a play like that, I'd go see it," he laughed. "Nah, I think I'd only go out with like... you or somethin', man. I already know you and we had some fun as kids. Dunno what you're into these day, though, besides the obvious."

Larry nodded in agreement about the overly serious phonies. Frankly the large dark Pegasus had made him more than a little nervous with his behavior. He seemed rather....violent.

At Roc's admission of his willingness to go on a date with him Larry did have something of a shocked look. He hadn't imagined the rocker to think of him as dating material given his old fashion ways. But he was flattered all the same and gave him a winning smile, "We did have quite a bit of fun as colts. I distinctly remember the "Evil Cherpumple" we created."

He thought for a moment as he took another sip of wine then turned to Roc, "Roc N Rolls, would you do me the honor of being my date this coming Saturday night? I know of a small outdoor bistro that is adjacent to a park and a "Battle of the Bands" is scheduled to be performing the park. Hence why there were ample reservations at the bistro. We could enjoy a good meal and some of the music you like."

"It's like you know me or somethin', man," Roc laughed. "That sounds like a killer date, to me. If it turns out the bands really suck we can go to this local college theatre place I found. I hear they're big on Hamlet and Shakespeare and junk. Trust me, sometimes the bands can really suck."

Roc didn't mind a compromise. Theatre was good for culture and stuff. So his friends had told him.

"If you're into DnD or card games, I've got some kits I've been putting together, too. You ever played any of that?"

Candy looked up, excitement evident in her eyes. "That sounds great!" she said, glad that he was ok with the idea. "How about two days from now, will that work?" Oh she would have to find that foal she hired part time to help her make sure the shop was looking neat and clean!

Honey smiled at the reaction the mare had to his trick. Most mares liked it, a flower was usually a good way to break the ice in any situation. So she truly was new, and not another phony he had yet to meet wiling the days away in his shop and garden. He chuckled and tucked the rose carefully into her hair with his magic, "Well being a unicorn has it's advantages. Mine specialty is growing flowers; as my name and a few of my questions may have given away."

He gave a glance to her saddle when she mentioned it, admiring the detail and decoration. "It is quite lovely, I have yet to meet a Carousel phony until today. And it is worth the wait, you are beautiful," he smiled down at her. Once again Honey had no clue what he was saying would make most mares swoon given his deep baritone and large size. His son joked he should pose for the romance novels he read so much. He was naturally humble so he rarely noticed the glances he got.

As soon as the questioning was over Reaper made his way towards the door, uncomfortable in such a crowded space. To his knowledge that had been the end of the event and he found it quite annoying to spot Rose already chatting up some stallion. He wanted to leave, not get stuck here. He tapped a hoof impatiently against the floor, looking around for the other carousel mare. Ultimately he considered this little escapade a failure, having expected something else to come of this little excursion.

He groaned inwardly, hoping they wouldn't be stuck here for much longer. Perhaps he should go interrupt Rose's chat with some girly longhaired stallion who was apparently giving her flowers to tell him to buzz off. Then she could help look for Valk and they could get out of here.
