"Not at all!" She said with a huff and a wave of her hand. "My older sisters are totally annoying. Worser yet is my twin. We are total opposites, you see. I'm cute and awesome, and she is arrogant and lousy! She's so full of herself because she can conjure desserts with cheese and I can't!" She felt bitter just admitting it. Cheesecake was her favorite food, and she would never be able to summon it. Make it, maybe, but without magical properties. She also decided not to reveal her pathetic attempts at summoning familiars. They always failed. "I hope you never meet her! She doesn't go to this school anyway."

Well that certainly caught Lou's attention. His brows raised as his head turned towards Amphi. Naughty? How? Not quite something the boil ever expected to hear from her mouth.
When she tugged, Lou followed without resistance, and practically bumped into her when she abruptly halted. What did he want to do? Lou puzzled over this sudden change in direction, considering he only left his room because she insisted.
The vampire was quiet for what seemed like years, the gears turning in his malfunctioning brain as he stared at her.
Lou supposed he finally understood the vulgar brilliance of lies now. Frankly, he didn't want to do anything. He wanted to crawl into a hole like some kind of larva and sleep for centuries until he finally became something. Until once again, all the problems were gone and good times were there to stay. What would that leave her, though? It wasn't hard to deduce that he did, in fact, care about what she wanted. That's why he was here.
Maybe nothing was only half-correct. His hand rested on her shoulder. "I want to do whatever will make you the happiest." She was, after all, the bird that had pulled the larva out of it's little hiding place. It was his duty to sustain her.

Helmut's ears drooped.
"Oh. Guess not." Her disappointment lasted for a fraction of a second before she tilted her head up at him. Or rather, at the twirling feather; she watched it fall, eyes moving right along with it. It landed on the ground and she stared at it a second more, and then back up at him.
"You're molting." She informed him helpfully, stooping to retrieve the fallen feather to offer it to him. "Is that normal? Are you sick?"

Mot left her alone. With Hel. That traitor!
The patchwork even extended a hand to try and stop him, but no words came out; at least, not the ones she intended. A rather unladylike sputter left her at Hel's rather loud declaration, followed by a long moment of stunned silence as she stared wide-eyed at the Reaper. Her lifted arm twitched, fngers curling as she didn't quite know what else to do.
"Y-you ARE NOT!" She cried out, horrified, mortified and completely caught off guard. Then she pointed at Hel, and took two very obvious steps back. "You can't just decide that! What if I already have a date?!"

“Oh, but I am!” Hel replied, rolling her shoulders. Her lips pulled up into a smirk, and the reaper made a very pointed show of looking around for Amrita’s said other date. She hummed thoughtfully. “That is most strange, screecheart…I do not see any other date around!” She rubbed her chin before she smiled. “But here I am! Because, you see, I did not forget what you said to me at our sleep over ~ !” You know, where poor Amrita never had a date who stuck around for an event, or put forth effort. Hel's effort...she definitely didn't go about it in a good way...but she was trying to do something nice and thoughtful. She was trying. “So I am going to be the best damn date you ever had at a school event!”

Xavier wilted slightly.
"Yes, er, well, it's, er, normal...ish," he said helplessly and not entirely helpfully watching as yet another feather made its way from his hair and landed on one of the ghoul's feet. "I seem to, er, be having a problem lately with keeping them...where they're supposed to be..."
He trailed off, flustered, and then blurted out abruptly, "What's your name?" before realizing that he had actually just initiated a part of a conversation. His shoulders drooped a little.

Amrita caught Hel's very obvious look around, but didn't quite know what to say to it until Hel put words to the gesture. "...Hey that's not fair! I-" Oh god, that was right; the sleepover. Where she spilled some disappointing beans. The ridiculously large bouquet was dropped and the patchwork tilted her head back, holding her face with both hands in frustration. Normally such gestures were avoided, but this was Hel. Subtlety was not in her lexicon, and so for now it wouldn't be in hers, either.
"I told you, I'm too busy anyway!" The event had only just started, and she was already exhausted. "Hel, please, I don't have time for a date, go...go put your energy towards someone else. Please."

Hel wasn’t surprised Amrita was frustrated. The ghoul knew she wasn’t exactly…hrm…fond of her, she supposed…but yet that didn’t stop her from trying. Hel was a glutton for punishment, and once she had her mind set on something, it was going to be done. Plus, Hel really did think Amrita deserved… the effort of someone trying. She really did… “That is alright!” Hel insisted with a grin. “I can cater to your pace, because that is what a good date does!” The reaper felt pretty qualified, especially after all the chick flicks she watched with Nina. The ghoul kept grinning. “But Amrita, if you are not my date…then I will not have one!”

Helmut watched the next feather fall, and stooped to pick that one up too. While she was down there she collected the few others that had fallen over the time they had talked, and when she stood again she had a little bouquet of black flowers between her tiny little claws.
"Where're they s'posed to be?" Her head tilted again, her ears perked with interest. His sudden question made her jump, clutching the feathers tightly with both hands. "Oh! ...Oh." She breathed out, after realizing that she hadn't introduced herself right away. Her Mama would be so mad! Helmut drew in a deep breath, cheeks puffing before blowing air up to muss with her bangs.
"My name is Helmut Purge. I am a first year and I hope we can be friends." She prattled off, blue eye rolling up and to the side as if reciting it from memory, her hands - and the feather bouquet - shifting to clutch behind her back. She waited an appropriate two seconds before hopping closer, hands clenched in front of her again, peeking up at the boil with expectant excitement.
"What's your's?!"

Trisha Didn't know where these mini pets were, but she found them when she went crashing through the crowd. perhaps it was just a 6th since, but more likely it was just the sounds of minis playing with each other. "So cute!" She stares at Death charm. It was a little on fire, but that was ok. The only other pet in the area was... questionable. "Why are there not very many?"

Amrita's expression fell. On one hand, she really, really didn't want Hel to be her date. Actually, she didn't want Hel anywhere near her. But on the other...if she didn't, Hel would be alone for her last scarentines. They both would be. The internal struggle was clear on her face, until she realized what was going on.
"NO-" Amrita wagged a finger in Hel's direction. "I will not let you guilt trip me this time!"

“What!? I do not guilt trip!” That was a lie. “It is true! I will not have a date if you are not my date! Besides, I did not forget what I said to you at the sleep over, that I would be your date for Scarentines! I always carry through with what I say I am going to do!” Hel had been scowling prior, though her postured relaxed and her lips quirked back up.
One hand left her hip to slide along the left lapel of her borrowed dress shirt, in a nonchalant gesture, and she pulled back the material a bit to reveal the heart-shaped scar on her chest. She lightly tapped the scarred tissue.
“I did not forget…did you?” She asked sweetly.

"Um," said Xavier brilliantly. He floundered for a moment, and then said, "They're, erm, well they're...a part of my hair, I suppose, but they won't...stay...where they're supposed to they're not supposed to fall out, really."His eyes strayed to the feathers clutched in her hands, his face flushing."X...Xavier Hollow," he croaked out, looking terribly ashamed of this fact, the color of his cheeks relative to the color of a mistletoe mixer. "Erm. I'm...I'm a first year t...oo..."

As Amrita was busy chatting with Mot and Hel, there was a looming shadow on the edges of their vision. The Igor watched intently, wary to approach, but still in the best suit he still owned from previous dances, patched and adjusted slightly to at least try to make them seem new- this time with bits of black leather stitched into the coat where he could fit the patches. Mot had taken his leave, but now Hel had swept in. It was not polite to interrupt. Lurk properly. Stay out of eyesight until summoned. He breathed in deep, trying to shake the usual Igorisms that defended him against most terrifying social instances, and crept forward until he loomed behind Amrita awkwardly.

"Xavier." Helmut repeated, puffing out her cheeks in thought. "I like it! S'all like, official an' stuff." She nodded, a dopey little grin on her mouth, just wide enough to show the rows of sharp teeth. The problem at hand wasn't their names though, it was her new friend's moulting. It did concern her that it was happening even if it wasn't supposed to, and she gave it some very serious thought.
Rather, she was supposed to be giving it some serious thought.
Truth be told she was too busy glancing at the boil's flushed face from under her bangs. She could feel the surge of heat from him because of it, and it was so very distracting.
"I...I can try to put these back? Maybe?" She showed him the feathers again, trying her best to be sneaky so he'd come down to her level.
