Glen almost sighed, she wasn't that bad it seemed. Discreetly, he began to move them away from the dog. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Your fine too." He scowled. He wasn't very good at this, comforting people thing, but she had apologized, even if it wasn't really her fault, so he'd try. He actually did sigh this time.
He pointed to the coffee shop. " We can go in, and you can see if anythings messed up? And maybe I'll get us drinks." Oh god this was awkward, so awkward. But, it did get him the chance to possibly try a seasonal drink, and someone to talk to who may not be that bad. Maybe.

“Oh, please. You should know by now that when a chance to look good crops up, I’ll never say no,” Lune admitted readily, glancing down to check his own outfit. And hey, if he had dressed well enough that Michael noticed, that was definitely a bonus. It’d been said teasingly, sure… but if it’d been completely unimpressive, Lune didn’t think he’d even get that sort of reaction. He smiled a bit to himself, despite everything, and took another drink of his beer.
“I don’t know how, but you somehow make jeans and a T-shirt look good. Consider me envious.” Too nice? Lune wasn’t sure. But considering Michael wasn’t throwing a fit over his drinking, Lune wasn’t going to stir up too much s**t tonight. Besides that, after their last little… encounter… he wasn’t feeling particularly bitchy. Towards Michael, anyway.
Finding out someone risked their a** for the city on a regular basis really changed the way you viewed a person. b*****d pretended he didn’t even care! Well, the jig was up. Lune at least had that much figured out.
“Bad past experiences, then?” Lune asked lightly, glancing out among the crowd. He had heard some of the… questionable experiences people had been through in Destiny City, but he’d previously discredited them. Now? He wasn’t so sure. And with Michael’s paranoia, Lune didn’t think he wanted to discredit them at all anymore.
He laughed a bit at the comment of enjoying himself.
“Hey, a boy’s got to let go of it all sometimes. I can’t help it if Kor didn’t guard his cooler more carefully,” he rebutted lightly, waving the beer a bit while he spoke. “Besides that, one beer never really hurt anyone.”
He paused here, and gave a glance over to Michael.
“…Though I might take back that last statement. Should you really be drinking, after what happened? Aren’t you on some sort of pain medication?” …s**t. That sounded too concerned- especially for Lune. He took another drink of the beer, and shrugged.
“I mean. Not that I have any control over what you do, but. I don’t think the doctors want to see either of us again for some time.”
quote If anyone wants to come harass Lune, they are welcome to do so! emotion_kirakira I can't promise friendliness, though.

Trinity moved away from the dog, guided by Glen, still keeping a wary eye on the little flea-bag. She blinked at him, he sounded... Oh. She didn't know... grumpy. But he was offering to take her into the coffee shop and inspect for puppy tooth damaged... and get her a drink? Oh well an invitation for coffee was not something she was unaccustomed to. Maybe he just wasnt used to asking girls out a date.
Because in Trinity's mind, that is exactly what he had just done.
So she suddenly decided that his peculiar brand of grumpy awkwardness was charming. He was fairly cute, and didn't seem TO irritated she had practically pounced him to avoid the tiny monster terrier.
"You know, I think I will take you up on that offer, Darling " She said, a grin slipping across her face. Maybe this forced outing would end up being a good thing after all.Kaname Kyoto Oh you poor boy, now your on a date. xd

It had thus far gone unnoticed that the flower shop had more than just human visitors, and said visitor(s) were making a nuisance of themselves... at least up until a small body hurled itself into Orah's legs and latched onto the trailing edge of her sari. It was lucky she hadn't been carrying a tray of drinks, or the people around her would have been wearing them...
The teen felt the tugging on her sari loosing the tuck about her waist and she grabbed for the cloth before it could come undone, casting about for whatever she'd gotten caught on...
"Horatio!" Orah laughed as she looked down, setting her empty tray on a free table as she bent down to untangle the cream cat from her clothing and cuddle her in one arm. "What are you doing here, silly?" She said as she picked up her tray and made her way to the back of the shop again. She offered her father a wave as she went and he gave her a frown back.
"I know, don't worry! I'm just going to give Horatio some food to keep her occupied and then I'll get back to work!" She called as she made her way back into the shop. Thankfully her Da was used to her seemingly taking in strays... since guardians seemed to drop by and a talking cat was hard to explain.Quicksilver the Archangel

Quicksilver the Archangel Zach's ego deflated pretty quickly when some random blonde guy who was hotter than him showed up and started trash-talking Penelope's costume. When the boy wasn't sure what else to do aside from attempt to fight for the brunette's affections he turned and spotted a lovely blonde with bouncing curls. Christa felt her phone vibrate and sighed, opening it, reading it over. She tried to dull her reaction to it. She hadn't seen Paris since her utter embarrassing outburst of tears and ridiculousness and now that she was better-in-the-head, hadn't formulated an apology yet. "Christa, you didn't tell me you hung out with so many hot babes!" cried the boy, eyes plastered all over poor Paris, Penelope now forgotten as a lost trophy for him. His sister sighed, momentarily dragged out of her flustering to smack him. "That hot babe has a name, Zach. That's Paris and we're staying here and he's taken by someone much bigger and more muscular than you. So don't even try it." Zach didn't seem phased. "Yeah well I'm hotter, so." SMACK went the hand to cover the boy's face before Chris came over, heard about the uncouth behavior coming from the boy and decided to rearrange it. In her head, her interaction with Paris would have gone thusly: "Ah, Paris, yes, hi... Zach, excuse us for a moment and don't do anything stupid. Just stand there and breathe but don't hit on anyone, don't drink and for heaven's sake, keep your hands to yourself!" With an exasperated sigh, Christa turned to try and have a private conversation with the blonde she kind of... blew up all over because she was weird and couldn't handle emotions other than pissed off and stoic. Everything else proved to be incredibly difficult. "Paris... I want to apologize for being really, really stupid. I would blame it on DNA because Zach's a total moron sometimes but... I have no excuse. But I thought a great deal about what you said... did some soul searching." She lifted brown eyes to the sky, venturing a guess at where her moon might be in the sea of stars. "So you don't have to worry about me, and I apologize if I worried you. I just... I suck with feels. I hope you're alright? Is Chris alright?" Christa leaned in to whisper in Paris' ear for a moment. "He's free to kill Zach too, if the need arises."... ...too bad it probably wouldn't come to fruition. (( NOTE TO GUINE: I'm a moron, you know what I meant by this post, I am so sorry for messing it up. ))

Anandi spent her time arranging, then rearranging, then re-re-rearranging the food and utensils until they couldn't possibly end up in any more combinations and then spent the rest of the time bouncing around like a loon. When Gwen appeared on the horizon, her girlfriend bobbed and flailed like a salmon on the rocks, waving her arms crazily to and fro. "GWEN! Gwen I am so very happy to see you! I made soup and sandwiches and there's supposed to be contests and look at the stars! So lovely! I brought a camera too and Mama said to take lots of pictures! It is a perfect day for a picnic! There's music too! I saw a band down in the streets! So many neat things to dooooo!" Clearly this was borderline too much for Anandi, who seemed near ready to burst from the excitement.

The nudge from Zac's shoulder was, indeed, almost enough to knock Ever over; definitely enough to make him stumble sideways, to loosen his grip. It meant that when Adira approached, they were separated some, it meant he was laughing as he offered over the flask into Zac's hand, nose and ears just a touch pink. Maybe he had drank enough already. Enough pre-gaming. Oh well. He attempted to sober up some as the girl used Zac's name, turning his laugh to a cough and struggling to control his expression. He utterly failed. She was subjected to his grin.

Truth be told, he had not expected for anyone to even notice him, let alone talk to him. Magiore tilted his head slowly in the girl's direction, as though trying to determine if she was some sort of figment of his imagination; after all, the streaks of color in her hair were nearly identical in color to his own, and the peacock feather earrings matched the feather in his cap when he was Aurostibite.
Maybe he'd just imagined a female version of himself out of boredom.
When he had determined that she was quite real, however, Magiore slanted his gaze downwards to look at the book tucked under his arm, almost as though he had forgotten it was there. He flicked his gaze back up to the girl and gave her the minutest of smiles, a vague sort of curiosity passing across his face.
"It's a very good book," he agreed. A flash of familiar blue hair made him turn his head, and Magiore could see Zac a short distance away, next to a pale haired young man that Magiore did not recognize. He had an inkling to go and greet Zac, but confidence failed him, and Magiore turned back to the young woman in front of him.
He held out a hand.
"My name's Magiore," he said lightly.

Delicate fingers found their way to the offered hand and gave a gentle squeeze and a shake. "Magoire, I'm Habibi." She smiled, and it was polite and friendly, though that uneasy tightness still remained around dark eyes. The girl was trying though, reaching out, talking someone unfamiliar. It was not something she would normally do, but then even choosing to attend this city wide party was unusual. A flick of her eyes took in the still empty stretch of bench, and vaguely she wondered if perhaps he hadn't noticed her silent invitation. He had glanced off in another direction, attention drawn elsewhere by something in the crowd. It wasn't unlikely that he'd missed it. The internal musings of the introvert. Second guessing every action, every word, and every reaction from those around her. Chewing the inside of her lips, she returned those darkly liquid eyes up to him, and tried for another smile. "Are you enjoying the party?" Was the book something he'd picked up at one of the many open shops, or something he'd brought to entertain himself? Perhaps he was meeting friends, and walked alone for now only to kill time? Or perhaps they were more similar then just the colorful streaks that decorated their hair.

Horatio valiantly tried to cling to her newly captured prey, but the wonderfully vibrant cloth slipped through her paws as its demanding wearer hefted her up into an even better prize: cuddles. The Guardian wriggled as close to Orah as she could, breathing in the scent of the flowers and the tea and the hot chocolate and the people and thinking that all and all, this was a pretty good way for the pranking spree to end. She certainly hadn't intended any harm to one of her favoritest friends and it didn't cross her mind that what she was doing could be construed as such. The fluffy cat was happy, content, and warm, and positioned herself so that she could nuzzle her cheek against the sari-clad girl's and mew quietly as they went towards the back of the shop, "I came to see the moon because it's supposed to be this big eclipse thingie, I heard about it on the news while Grammy was brushing my fur and I really want to make sure I see it because those are supposed to be pretty cool and hey, I'm never one to stay away from a fun time and... I like your purple thingie, can I have one?"

The pony drank at a decent clip, easily either spilling or lapping up about half the cup in a matter of moments. It was almost fascinating, were he not more interested in directing the pony's ambient flow toward the concrete rather than his jeans. A curious creature it was, but his attention was easily drawn to Porsha as she took a seat beside him. The horse would likely leave when he had nothing more to offer; Porsha, however, would stay for quite some time - especially considering the previous events he'd instigated.
Alois conceded that the pony was, indeed, a surprise. However, her acknowledgement of its existence confirmed that he hadn't quite lost everything upstairs yet. Perhaps there was another, greater realization for that down the road somewhere. Maybe once he moved into the vast plains of the Rift.
Her touch brought another confirmation.
Alois breathed a sigh, and watched its last dregs whisper against the pony's mane. Maybe it was the wind, but the leaves woven into its hair seemed to move of their own accord. "Visually... It's not quite as easy to enjoy as a lunar eclipse, for reasons apparent. However, I cannot help but wonder if it's an omen." He dropped his voice to a low grumble. "For ze moon to overtake ze sun... What of zat might rally ze White Moon Court? Perhaps more pressing zan zat, does it gif' zem strengs'?" He would've continued with his concerns over the event, but a young woman with dusty brown hair and unique garb presented herself to the two.
She exclaimed her worry, her regret, and her intent to pay them back, but it did not sway the typically stoic expression on the misanthrope's face. Ponies he could tolerate - for beasts knew more of themselves than humans every would - but some girl assailing him and apologizing for her pet, who knew full well what it was dong? It coaxed a sigh through his nose and a glance toward the equestrian in question. "I would say he wanted somesing sweet." However, his gaze shifted toward her as she tried, desperately, to pull the pony away.
It didn't care. It was almost comical.
"I cannot speak for Porsha, but when I buy somesing, I trade money for an experience. It's a simple prospect - I could'f settled for water, but I bought lemonade for ze taste. However," he eyed the girl sharply, as if to dispel her misplaced apologies, "ze fact zat a pony, somesing I haf' never seen in person, came to me because of it, I find zat a better use of coin zan a simple taste." He tapped the claw adorning his index finger to the cup for a moment. "I am curious zough - how in ze hell do you haf' a horse?"
The question seemed a proper tradeoff - though he had to deal with a stranger who made assumptions of him, he might glean a little insight about his hoofed visitor in exchange.

The pony was a distracting thing, but Porsha found herself watching the young man and the equine in equal turn. A curious smile lingering on full lips as Alois attempted to steer the thirsty beast so messy lapping didn't spill over dark jeans. It wasn't something she suspected she'd every be privy to again, so she sat quietly, sipping at her drink, and for once did very little to draw Alois attention to her. Her foot bounced, painted nail tapping in quiet percussion against her plastic cup. "Or darkness consuming the light," she offered softly, gun metal eyes flicking up to the young woman as she approached them, apologizing for the pony. Now the teen leaned in against the dark clad young man beside her, the arm that had rested across the back of the bench now draped across Alois' shoulders as she watched the brunette tugging on the pony to little effect. It made her smirk, breath leaving in an amused hum. The b***h peeking through before features were schooled and softened. "My drinks untouched, but I didn't pay for it to begin with." She flashed a grin. "Though I think I agree with Alois, it's not every day a tiny horse walks randomly up to you." A tip of her head let her glance up at golden eyes, watching him again before turning her attention to the brunette. Fingertips trailing over a dark clad shoulder as he asked his question. She didn't share his same curiosity, but she wouldn't interfere. Instead she sipped her drink, quiet, considering.

Harmony was at this party strictly as a cute representative for Espresso Yourself. Her boss set up the booth and kept her brewing coffee and keeping the dispensers full. There was a chill in the air and a lot of people seemed to appreciate free coffee. She liked the mingling with people, charming them as she did in the shop. She was dressed warmly but cutely behind her apron with the company logo emblazoned on it. All this advertising would likely mean more business for the shop and with her recent promotion that was good for her.
"Step on up! Free coffee! Get it while it's hot!"
She handed a cup of imported Italian roast to a man in a black bowler hat, smiling as she did and explaining a little about its origin and their shop philosophy. Supporting artists and true flavor, that's what she liked to say and her boss never complained. He saw his choices as quality and people could judge that for themselves. True espresso - that's what he loved.
"Harmony, number 5!"
Mr. Santini was bent over a percolator and the mint haired girl saw that, indeed, the Venetian blend was out. The woman at the dispenser looked disappointed. She rushed over and took the empty put down and put up another that was waiting below the table. She got a grateful smile for her trouble and went back to arranging displays of the beans for sale. Cash only tonight but good coffee.

Delilah picked her head up the moment she heard her named being screamed. Smiling as she realized the source, the teenager rolled her eyes. Typical Hannah. "Still stuck in the boxes from the move?" She couldn't imagine still living in boxes but a move did take time to organize and get settled from. Besides, it wasn't like they moved back into her childhood home or anything.
Shrugging her bag back onto her shoulder, Delilah turned towards the 'chaos' caused by the event. "Why don't we take a look around? I brought you snacks for later but I hear there are some treats made just for the event. Want to see if we can find any?" Chuckling to herself, Delilah put the extra blanket into her bag. "And I could really go for a hot drink. If we are going to be out into the night, we both need to get something warm into us. Anything in the mood for?" She looked over at her friend and smirked.
"How is the new house? I miss being able to just walk down the street to you."Shanyume Sorry for the delay...been insane

Gwen was lucky enough to tuck the paperwork under her arms in enough time to avoid them being scattered all over the place from her girlfriend's flailing, and while others may have felt embarrassed to be around someone so excited, it only seemed to make Gwen even more proud to have such girlfriend. "The first thing we NEED to do is get some food in my stomach! I'm running on empty here and I don't think you'd want a hungry tiger on your hand..."She paid little attention to the people around them, dropping the paperwork onto the checkered blanket and immediately ensnaring Anandi with a hug. "You're so happy, but is it to see the eclipse or me? It's me, right? Right?"
