Frost laughed. "Ladies of the court? Does that mean I should be addressing you as Lady Amarus and Lady Siobhan? Perhaps I should be more mindful as to not tarnish your reputations. A canine for a King? Could be quite scandalous." The wolfos teased them both. He thought of the only crown he could see his kind wearing- And only the goddess's chosen wore a crown, not even the green one had a crown. For the better- the dark king though.... A tiny shiver went up Frost's spine. The dark king was in a court the ghost wanted no part in.


Ears kept forward, Frost sniffed the air as Willow entered the room. Cat. Big cat. CAT.

"A motto and mascot- we shouldn't rush them Amrita. It is a big decision." Frost just eyed Willow again.

Cat.

The clarification of Libertas in Obitum had Reese regretting her own flippant suggestion. The idea that her current existence was a freedom from something terrible resonated with Reese down to the very core of her being. Yes, it had been startling to suddenly exist, drifting without memory or identity, with no home or belongings. And it was galling to be helpless, to have to rely to completely on others for information and a place in the world. Then there was the heaviness that clung to her like an oppressive shadow whenever her mood slipped or when she wasn't paying attention and just drifting along on her own thoughts.

Her existence wasn't exactly ideal.

But there was a firm certainty, without any discernible cause or reason, that it was better. From what, she couldn't say. But despite the weight of the air around her, there was the sense of a burden that had been lifted and left behind.

With sudden decisiveness, Reese picked up the paper she'd placed by the ballot box and struck out the trite BOO in a single, firm stroke. Pursing her lips around the phrase, the ghoul braced herself to speak aloud, "LIBERTAS IN OBITUM." She gave a small, sternly glaring nod of approval.

"So you would call me a lady of the court, would you? I cannot imagine anyone has been so generous to me recently," Amarus said, amused. After all, she'd been called a trap by Tseng at the prom before last.

"A canine for a king, I see no particular problem with that, though... I have this strange feeling that I have a king," she said, her eyes cast downwards suddenly, as if focused on some distant point.

She utterly ignored Amrita's warning to behave, as well as ignoring Amrita herself. Amarus was not entirely familiar with this ghoul save on a handful of occassions, but she could not remember the ghoul ever acting so coldly. As a result, she largely dismissed whatever Amrita had to say this time.

She did, however, turn to correct a strange assertion from one of the other dorm residents. "I would hardly call elementals spirits, exactly. They are usually the embodiment of their sphere-- I have known frost elementals, for example."

With a faint oath not appropriate for "civilized" company, Blake was unable to maintain his "innocent vase act" any longer and, with an odd popping sound, sprang back into his natural form.
"Ah, sket." He muttered, the sullen expression melting away rapidly into a rather toothsome and impish grin. "S'all th' same t' me, marm. Jes' know they tend t' be lumped t'gether wiff us lot, ye ken?" Blake tried his best to be "respectable" since the ghoul he was speaking to seemed to be one of those in charge. He really ought to pay attention more...
Tugging on his wristband, he tried, really hard, to not mangle the idea he had for a motto with his abominable accent. "Ain't vurreh accurate, but 'tis close, an' mayhaps'll work fer us, but..." Clearing his throat (and wondering what possessed him to get attention called to himself), he wrestled the next few words out with painful slowness. "Our bodies may die, but our spirits will live on."

Tail twitches. Frost stared at the tiny flicks of movement with fascination. Cats were cats were chaseable were cats. Amarus made his attention shift, for the better.

"Hrm- ah yes. Well you are a fine lady Amarus. If no one has been so generous then as a gentleman I cannot help but feel offended. You are one of the most amazing ladies I know, passionate and yet also very skilled in your various arts. And you do have a King, but rather just as a friend." He winked at her, only jesting.

Amrita's call to order had Frost chuckling into the back of his hand. "Alas, we ghosts rather are a... group that goes with the flow in some ways." A tiny hop, he floated in the air, swaying back and forth. "Herding cats in a way."
