very carefully Ronan raised a hand and lifted Glen's from his shoulder. Just what he needed, more grease.
He shook his head at the question, running a hand through is oil stained hair.

"Long day."

He glanced sidelong at Lin and frowned, deciding it was best to keep a distance from that gremlin who was evidently as accident prone as his robotic companion.

He stared at Nero as he began to rant about bros and bro-terventions.

"Wait..." He interjected, moving to look at the phone screen. "You rated all the ghouls at Monster High?"

Who did that? Though now he found himself pondering how the points were allocated, his own mind swirling with a wide range of possibilities for ranking. He decided it had to be a complex algorithm and he was far too tired to really work it out right now.

He shook his head, found a seat and ate his food while Nero continued to scroll through photos and lecture Kai, who didn't look particularly happy about the situation.

"Cheer up!" Glen piped at Ronan. "The creepover has just begun!"

Glen then turned around and went for more screechza whn he saw Nero showing Kai something on his iCoffin. Glen levitated up so he was able to glance over Nero's shoulder to see what was so interesting.

"Ooo! Nice pic of my mom, Nero! How come you got that?"

"Heck yeah, minibro. Oh and thanks for inviting me to your place for grilling this summer, I'd never have gotten all these great pictures otherwise."

"Wait, what do you mean 'all t~"

"Check it out, here's one of Grimdy Clawford at my summer show! I love doing shows in Boo York, there's always tons of models."

Nero kept scrolling through pictures, rattling of names and events. His encycolpedic knoweldge of all things ghoul-related made one wonder why he kept barely passing math. On the other hand, it explained perfectly how he aced dragonomics.

"You've gotta take your own pictures, Rory. No real gentlemonster trades photos, that's just crude. Ooo! Here's a picture of Nefera getting kicked in the face by Glen's flying monkey while practicing her runway walk!"

Nero put his arm around Ronan and pulled him closer to the small group gathered around his phone. Ronan didn't seem to have a lot of luck with ghouls either and could benefit from Nero's wisdom.

"Nothing, Ron. They're like a record of all the ghouls I've met, I keep them because they remind of the brodacious times we had together. Like here, this ghoul is Heidi Gloom, she's a model I met from Grrrmany that Kai wouldn't talk to because she kept reminding him of his supposed ghoulfriend~"

"You've met her like 400 times!"

"~so I took her out onto the dance floor and we rocked it for hours, then we went to the Rocky Normie Picture show before ending up at Tim Gore-ton's. I took her to an early morning shoot before class could start and she promised to say hi to 'Demona,'" Nero continued, making air quotes, "if she ever saw her, and~"

"You took me to the airport to say good-bye!"

"~we still Skype sometimes. If she's ever back in New Salem we'll fang out again, too."

Ronan peered curiously at the picture of Ms. Gloom, sticking her tongue while dancing.

"I see. So, um, if they're just for you, why aren't you keeping them private?"

"They remind everyone else of the brodacious times I have too," Nero grinned.

"It's a thing of his. Out of sight, out of availability, out of mind." Kai replied. The screechza was rapidly vanishing. "'Mona's real, though. She's hexchange-studenting in Grrmany right now. And it doesn't really feel right going to a dance without her."

Kai stacked up empty, grease-infused boxes next to a staircase with a large sign marked 'Out of Order' on it. He'd toss them out later.

"Hey, you're nominated for tombcoming king too!" Kai informed Ronan. "You're going to the dance, right? Maybe you can take my nomination."

"Yeah, my friend Frankie just e-mauled me the nominations. I don't subscribe to the Ghostly Gossip so she's passing the info on to me." Kai thumb-scrolled through his phone. In the background, he could hear Nero talking more about some ghouls he'd taken pictures of.

"Here we go. You were nominated by...Ascreama Poweurgh." Kai turned his iCoffin so Ronan could see the nomination. "Isn't she one of the ghouls you're dating? Along with Atomica and Doriana?"

Kai was joking with Ronan a little bit. He gave Ronan a knowing, joking smile as he ribbed the selkie. He knew better than to buy what gossip said, and knew all-to-well that being tied to Atomica meant there was a LOT more going on than met the eye.

"Yeah, Vanissha is on a whole different plane than the rest of us. However, do you know what this means? You could be Tombcoming Scream King. And Ascreama could be your Scream Queen." Kai pointed out.

Leaving Ronan to ruminate on that, Kai scrolled down on his iCoffin again. "Hey, Rory, you got nominated too! Congratulations, man."
