Why do they wish to follow her?: (just copying what I wrote for her contest): She was once a normal; prancing the fields and enjoying life to the fullest. Then she was captured by cruel cursed, kept and tortured for their amusement so long that not only did her mind snap, but she became cursed herself. Now she has forgotten her previous carefree life and has decided Martyr is the best way to start her new one -- she has no fear of suffering more herself, and wishes nothing more than to make everyone else go through what she went through, no matter who they are. Anything else? Nopers~

Why do they wish to follow her?:Suffering? I love spreading pain and suffering. Grinning broadly with a merciless glint in his uncovered eye.
He seeks only to please himself and take what he wants by whatever means necessary and enjoying it. In this case he seeks to be a part of the great Martyr's harem and create strong and equally merciless spawn to torment others. To this end he will gladly enter the ranks of the cursed.
Anything else?:Muuhahaha! >3

The Martyr listened to Krow and smirked a bit in response. "Yes... Go forth and bring the world the pain and suffering it deserves, Krow."

Why do they wish to follow her?: SB and her companion spent the war behind the scenes doing her best to hex and vex all combatants regardless of what side they were on. Using her meager magic to inflict bad luck upon the warriors, merely for the pure enjoyment of seeing them frustrated and suffering. Now that the war is over, it has occurred to SB it is time for her to choose a home of her own. Martyr is the one that she has decided would be the most likely to accept her and her companion after the malevolent interference she and Jagger have inflicted upon the army's of all sides. Anything else?: A Prelude RP between Jagger and SB deciding what to do after the war ended.
With a slight jingle of bells, Snakebite hopped from one rock spire to a lower one. Her head tilted from left to right as her black and white eyes peered through darkness as if it were lit in gray dawn light. "Jagggggger." The hexbeast hissed in calling to the one who had been her constant partner in adversity and misfortune. "Jagger. The entertainment is quitting the field." Her hand lifted and she flittered her fingers over the empty landscape. "Jagger. They are wandering away to their homes and places of belonging... I think it's time we sought out the same." "What, already?!" Jagger came swaggering into view, a big pout on his face. "We haven't had nearly enough fun yet....and where could we possibly go that would help us find more people to torment??" He sure didn't know of any place they really belonged. Snakebite hopped fromher perch and down to where the troll had strutted to. Landing in a slight crouched position, she tilted her head from left to right, then stood up. "Yes already. Dissappointing isn't it?" She commented as she took a few small steps over to her companion. Swaying her serpent headed tail behind her, she reached out to place a hand on the trolls shoulder, and pursed her fanged lips. "There will be always others to inflict misery and pain upon. Do not fret so over that my malefic paramour. What is the true question is...where do we go from here? The large powers that roamed the field were the leaders, and I have seen the prey we have played with have split off to follow them. I think we ought to pick one to do the same with." Jagger made a face. "I don't think I like the idea of following anyone! That would mean taking orders, and I don't do that very well. I don't like the idea of anyone lording it over me." He sheathes his jagged sword and crosses his arms over his chest with a huff. Snake lifted her hands to attempt and pinch Jaggers cheeks, none too gently at that, and smiled as she bared her fangs at him. "Oh are you so sure of that Jagger? Taking orders isn't always so bad. And if we follow a greater power, it might give us a higher purpose. Or at least some protection for when we get a little carried away doing what we oh so do best." Jagger didn't even blink at the hard pinch, just put a musing face on as he thought about what she said. "Do you really think there's some big power that'd let us harass whoever we want?" He honestly hadn't been paying attention to the gods on the field, as they'd both been pretty indiscriminate about who they caused misfortune to. Snake listed her head slightly to one side as she considered jaggers question. She, unlike her partner, had paid close attention to the beings who made the earth tremble in their passing. her snake headed tail curled up over her shoulder and hissed softly, as if echoing Jaggers question. "One was small and fluttery. She didn't seem vicious enough. One was a bit too..playful and happy. He didn't seem like he would appreciate our sort of antics. One seemed so...serious and violent. She might be a prospect...but I think our best bet would be to seek out the one that attacked her own kind. Coming in when victory was assured and then ripping away that sweet satisfying taste. That does seem more like us do you not think lover?" Jagger listened. Of course he'd seen a few of them around, it was easy enough to tell a god due to their size, mostly... but which was which, he let SB pay attention to that for the most part. Still, he took a stab. "Hmm...which one was that... the big dragon? I think I saw her flying around... she even LOOKED mean...." SB's head gave a few quick jerks up and down. The bells in her floppy ears swaying and jinling as she smiled in a rather pleased manner at her companion. "Yes. She did indeed look mean. I think that is the one we ought to seek out. She will know if our place should be amoung her tally, and if not..then we shall lurk and wait till we discover whom shall reward us for our talents." SB lifted one of her hands from Jaggers cheeks and purposefully tapped the fingertip to his horn hard enough to pierce the tip. Jagger nodded a bit with her. "Okay, we can try this dragon lady then, but if she doesn't want us, we'll just keep doing what we're doing!" He merely chuckled as she poked herself on his horn and reached out to pet her living snake tail. "It should be entertaining, either way!" The snakes head tilted to one side as it was petted, then attempted to bite the petting hand. SB took her now bleeding finger and in a impish moment attempted to swipe the drop of blood on the tip over Jaggers lips. "Exactly. Who knows, if she says no maybe she'll give us a parting kick to remember her by. It's a win win situation!" With a tilt of her head she nodded towards the tunnel leading to the surface. "Come on baby. Lets get going!"

Why do they wish to follow her?: Along with his partner in crime, Snakebite, Jagger was quite literally trolling those involved in the war. He'll gladly take credit for that rock you tripped on while backing up that you swore wasn't there a few minutes ago (he had nothing to do with that, honest) or any other instance where you swore your luck was just not with you that day. He lives for causing others pain; why else would he have the word tattooed on his arm? He has no aversion to pain or whatever inflicted upon him. Yes, he can feel it, but does he care? Nope. He'll just laugh and tell you to try a little harder next time. Anything else? Goes with the spoilered RP above in Akki's post XD they are attempting to join together and would come into her shrine at the same time.

With the war over and everyone leaving the battle field, Dervire nearly returned to the wretched ally he had been calling home ever since he stormed out of his family...ex-families house. He had refused to return for anything. Not even a spare change of cloths. He couldn't say he was too happy with living on the street like a bloody ally cat. But he was determined to make a point. Dervire found himself not heading to his cardboard box though. Instead he realized that his weary steps had taken him to Martyr's temple. For a few moments he stood outside the impressive structure. Nervously he ran his fingers through his hair, shaking out dust from his time in the underground realm. He entered the temple with a distinct difference to his first entry. His bold strutting is notably subdued, though he did not enter with his head down or ears back.
Approaching the alter, Dervire lowered himself to a kneeling position and stared at the floor as he folded his hands and considered exactly what he was going to say. Finally he merely shrugged to himself and spoke in a low voice. "Martyr. It's Dervire. I know your probably busy so I'm going to make this short. When I heard that you wanted your followers to go to war I didn't hesitate. I focused on attacking those that would impede the progress of the other cursed. I defeated three others and faltered only once. I don't know if any of this pleases you. I want it to but I know that none of this is about what I want, but what you want. So I'm going to go home now, and I'm going to keep looking for my own ways to fulfill your wishes. Thats all for now I guess. I'll get out of your temple before I get anymore dirt on the floor." He finished with a small nod of his head. For better or for worse, he couldn't keep quiet if he wanted to make it known where his loyalties laid, right?

The Martyr heard footsteps approaching the temple, they sounded exhausted, dragged, which perked her curiosity. From high up in the shadows she watched Dervire approach the alter and listened carefully to his words. The last she saw of him was prior to the events that occurred with his wretched family members. The desire to still cut them down lingered yet was beginning to subside. Due to their betrayal, Martyr had a very tough time trusting or believe anyone from such a lineage. "Are you sure you did not go to save your own skin?" she finally called out in response, choosing to remain up on higher ground.

Dervire's ears twitched when he heard Martyrs voice. The werecat paused and turned about in a half circle as he looked for the source of her voice. "If it were my skin I was concerned with preserving I would have found the furthest crevice to wedge myself into and hoped that I'd be forgotten." He stated as he searched the area level with him before turning his gaze upwards. When he finally found Martyr perched above, he resisted the urge to run his fingers through his hair or flicker his tail behind him. "I'm not weak like they are. I'm nothing like them. I know where I belong and I know that being quiet and hiding isn't any way to prove anything."

"Oh but how you'd suffer so..." Martyr laughed darkly before spreading her wings, swooping down to land before Dervire. "If it is praise you want, you shall not receive any. Perhaps a bit of redemption..." She crossed her arms as she watched him carefully. Martyr was not entirely sure what Dervire's intentions were. He might have shown strength yet he had a lot riding against him. If anything this would simply level his playing field and negate the damage his parents and siblings had done. Still she decided to humor him and listen to whatever he had to say.

He might have shown strength yet he had a lot riding against him. If anything this would simply level his playing field and negate the damage his parents and siblings had done. Still she decided to humor him and listen to whatever he had to say.
Dervire instinctively backed up a pair of steps when Martyr landed before him. He tilted his head up so he could look the great dragoness in the eyes when he responded. "I don't have to hide in a crevice like some worm of a coward to suffer." His head slowly shook from side to side, though not enough for him to lose his line of sight with Martyr's face. "Praise is a empty goal. It is just words. Words are easy to say. Praise me or berate me, it means all the same to me." Dervire formed a loose fist with one hand and curled his fingers over his heart as he spoke with a fervent voice. "I want to struggle. I want to suffer. I don't think you have to suffer and be miserable. There is joy in suffering. Happiness is just complacency. It gets you no where." Dervire made a small frustrated gesture with his hands, as if he were tossing something away. "When you suffer you know you are facing something stronger then you.The longer you endure it, the stronger you prove to be." He shook his head slightly from side to side, his felines ears pinned back against his skull as he continued. "Risk and Drake couldn't cut it. They couldn't see beyond their own selfish desire to live a fake happy life. I know I have a lot more to learn, but I'm not going to run away from any of this." Dervire turned his hand up and jabbed himself in the chest as he peered up at Martyr. "I can take anything you throw at me. I will not crumble and I will not give up. I will learn every lesson I need to. I am not here for myself alone though. I'm here for you, to do what you need me to, and I'll go through hell to prove it."

The Martyr's lips curled into a small smile, or perhaps a smirk? "You understand my concept well... How surprising." She reached out and placed her fingers under Dervire's chin, allowing her long nails to dig into his skin a bit in the process, lifting his gaze to meet her. "Bring me five followers of other Gods. Make them suffer so much they lose faith in their beloved Gods and fall prey to my whim. And then we shall see what happens next."
The Martyr has issued a task for Dervire. All role playing must be preformed in the guild -or- main shop thread in order to count towards his quest. Please keep records of any in-shop RP by either writing down page numbers where the RP occurs or transcribing it to a thread in the guild.
Task: * Seek out five followers from Gods. They should not all be from the same God nor owned all by the same people. * Make these five followers see that their God does not care about them enough to make them lose their faith and begin to loathe the Gods, turning them to Cursed. * Ensure they wish to see other suffer and have them seek out Martyr for guidance, thus becoming followers of Martyr. * Suffering is always good. Never not suffer.

It has been hours since dawn has broke. The Martyr is no where to be seen and has not responded to any prayers or calls that usually would summon her to her shrine. She has been defeated in battle and lays unconscious deep within an undisclosed forest. The only hints her followers might have is the notes scattered around her throne about the Carnival and the God known as Venezia. The lack of support, the disappearance of her other half, and the over all neglect on her part has lead to her defeat.
* To rescue the Martyr you may post in the battle thread of her follower(s) finding her and trying to wake her.

A small handful of followers made their way into the forest. They followed the path of battle and found their Goddess unconscious on the ground. Her injuries were not grave save for the dagger impaled deep within her eye. The followers decided on bringing the Goddess back to her shrine via air lift to begin tending her wounds and plotting their course of revenge. The Martyr has not woken yet nor shown signs of waking up in the immediate future.
