Kenny looked up to his other father. and nodded a bit"Yes" He said though he did not really feel it. He heard there was some type of test he had to take to get his wand. What did he have to do, what if he failed.

Aedan smiled and Put an arm around Kenny's shoulder. "o you wanna take the Knight Bus? Floo Powder? What?" he asked with a smile as he looked at his son. I do hope if he wants Floo Powder he ends up the right place? he thought with a worried look.

Kenny smiled a bit when his father put his arm around him and asked how he would rather travel."I would rather use Floo Powder."He said remembered his first less then nice trip on the Knight Bus and rather not do it again if he can help it. That and Floo powder made him feel a bit like a super hero stepping from one place to another.

spaceSiobhan sat in the family room of the estate, feeling rather nervous and more than a bit awkward. This... was not going to be an easy conversation. Her husband had been gone a long time, of course, and she was more than ready to try and move on. She couldn't be lonely forever after all, and as much as she loved his family, they were a fairly constant reminder that he was gone. And she loved her children, but they were growing up. Pru only had a couple more years until she was off to Hogwarts with her older brothers, and then they'd all be growing up and going off to live their own lives, and she would... she shoved that thought process away. It was one she'd found herself travelling down a bit too often of late, so Wesley's invitation for dinner had been more than welcome. He was a kind man, after all, and polite... and handsome. He looked nothing like Davin had, but then, perhaps that was a good thing? The only thing they had in common was that dark hair, something Davin had passed down to their two youngest. She sighed, unsure. How was she supposed to talk to them about this? She waited for the three of them to make their way into the room, trying all the while to come up with a way to say this that didn't make it sound like she was trying to replace their father.

Prudence was not an exceptionally clever girl, but she wasn't a dullard either, and she immediately sensed something was up. Her mother looked nervous, which immediately made her paranoid. After her father's death, she got a little bit wary whenever an adult wanted to sit her down to tell her something, especially if they looked uncomfortable about it. But at least she knew her mother and brothers were alright. They were home with her right now. Pru wasn't clingy but she was more... watchful. Vigilant, even. Didn't they see how easily someone could be snatched by Death? She felt like she had to know where everyone she cared about was, all the time, or it was impossible for her to settle down and relax. She entered the family room with a guarded look on her face. "Hi Mummy," she said immediately, not caring that she was nine and still called her mother as such. When you suddenly only had one parent, you stopped caring about looking cool in front of other kids. You held on to them for dear life, because you never really if one day they wouldn't come home, too. She sat down and continued to stare, trying not to look anxious. Nothing was wrong. Everyone was alright. They were all fine. This was probably something silly. Like that "birds and the bees" talk the other children giggled about.

An eagle owl flew into the home through an open window. Depositing his letter, he fluffed a few feathers before Donar took off through the window, his job complete. The letter lay on the kitchen counter, ready for its recipient to read it's contents.
Kenny
Hey Aunt Siobhan,
I figured I should write to let you guys know I'm all right, and that I'm sorry. I guess I should start at the beginning. I dunno when it started, but I've been feeling like no one cares for me at the house anymore. I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it's because I'm afraid that I'll be kicked out for doing something bad, or maybe it's because I feel like recently I've been ignored, but I've just been feeling that way. I'm sorry for making everyone worry about me. I really didn't mean to. It just happened, and I feel like maybe this was the best way to fix things, you know? Get my head on straight, or maybe figure out how to fix things I did wrong.
I know I'm not the best kid. Heck, I accidentally stole your necklace Aunt Siobhan. It was purely by reflex, something I learned back when I was a street kid, and now I dunno how to stop it. I sent it back with this letter, it should be in it anyway. That might make you want to send me back, the stuff I have stolen. Every time I think about giving the stuff back, I always get afraid, like something is going to be the final straw that causes you to hate me or something. I dunno. Maybe it's better this way. That way, Rhys and Caty don't get the idea to do the things I do. That way, they don't feel unwanted or something.
Say sorry to Ciaran and Aedan for me. I don't mean to make them worry, but I don't know what else to do. Also, give Rhys and Caty a hug from me. I'm pretty sure they are worried about their big brother, but I'll be alright. I've lived on the streets before, it's no big deal.
Sorry, Kenny
In an untidy scrawl across the bottom is a rather hastily written note.
Jer
Just letting you know, I'm making sure Kenny doesn't get into too much trouble. He's my brother, brothers do that. He just doesn't wanna come home yet, and I'll keep him safe.

spaceSiobhan was pacing back and forth in her kitchen, alternating between wringing her hands and attempting to do something productive, such as the dishes. But, she couldn't seem to focus on it for very long; one dish would be cleaned and she'd be pacing again. She was practically wearing a hole in the floor, she thought hysterically, but then, she could hardly be blamed. She hadn't been this upset since... well, since the night Davin had died. Honestly, she didn't even want to be home right now; she wanted to be at the train station, in the surrounding area, out in London, somewhere, looking for her nephew. In fact, the only thing preventing her from doing just that was Wesley, who sat nearby, watching her, expression anxious. He was worried, too, she knew, and she appreciated it, really she did, particularly since she didn't think he'd ever actually even met Kenny, but that gratitude was split with a feeling of annoyance. Of course, he had to be the practical one, the logical one. He had to be the one to remind her that she wouldn't know the first thing about tracking the child down, that the best thing to do when he didn't appear at the platform was to notify the proper authorities and tell them he was missing. Which had been done, of course, and now she felt completely and utterly useless. Her nephew was missing, dammit! He could be anywhere! He could have been kidnapped, murdered, any number of awful, horrible things! She did not want to be sitting (standing) about doing nothing!
spaceFrustrated, she went back to the dishes, actually managing to get two of them cleaned off before she was slamming her hands down on the counter, letting out a frustrated little growl. Wesley was on his feet then, coming to stand beside her, arms around her waist."They're out looking for him,"he told her reassuringly."They'll find him. I'm sure he's perfectly fine-"This statement was punctuated by the arrival of an owl, who deposited a letter on the counter and left without so much as a hoot. Wesley arched a brow, grabbing the letter. He looked at it for a moment, then handed it to Siobhan."It's addressed to you,"he told her, and she frowned, taking it. She recognized her nephew's handwriting easily enough and tore it open desperately.
spaceThe blonde had read the letter four times before she managed to find her voice."... He ran away,"she said dumbly, glancing at Wesley with wide eyes."He thinks he's not wanted and he ran away."The Slytherin winced at this, knowing that, to Siobhan, hearing that a member of her family felt unwanted was like a knife in the heart. There was nothing that mattered more to her than family. She turned back to the letter, swallowing hard. The note at the bottom, from someone who apparently considered Kenny a brother, was little comfort. She didn't know what to do. She'd tried to keep her nose out of Aedan and Ciaran's family as much as possible, didn't want to overstep her bounds as the Aunt and take over their family. It'd sort of happened with Rhys, she knew, the white-haired boy was rather attached to her, but his attachment had made her feel more an a little guilty. After all, he had two fathers. Kenny did as well; and he was older, and had always seemed like he wanted to be left alone... she hadn't wanted to smother the boy. She wondered if perhaps a bit of smothering would have been better... perhaps then he wouldn't have run away. She turned the envelope over in her hand, her rose necklace falling out. Wesley's eyes softened as he looked at it. They'd both known Kenny had taken it; Siobhan hadn't known how to broach the subject with the child, didn't know what to do to try and let him know it was okay. Now, apparently he thought that the fact that he'd taken it meant that they would, what get rid of him? Nothing would ever make them get rid of him. He was family. But, apparently he didn't know that. She rest her head on Wesley's shoulder, a tear sliding down her cheek."I wouldn't even know how to reply,"she said softly."If I wrote to him, I wouldn't know where to send it."She needed to show the letter to his fathers, she knew. They were both worried sick, as they should be. But... at least he'd only run away. That sounded bad, but when compared to the horrors she'd feared, it didn't seem so awful. And he wasn't alone... whoever this Jer person was, he thought of Kenny as family. Hopefully, that meant he'd make good on his promise to keep the boy safe. Hopefully, he'd talk Kenny into coming home. The authorities finding the child and bringing him back might actually make things worse, she thought sadly. Forcing him back into a home where he felt he wasn't wanted. Siobhan hated to think that he'd been driven to run away... when he did come home, she'd make it right. She had to.

Kenny scuffed his shoe along the walk up to his house, closely followed by Jer. It had been an interesting summer, at least, And Jer hadn't done anything really to be called illegal. Unless you counted the tattoo that now adorned his arm. Jer himself now had a new piercing in the middle of his face, though why the heck Jer would even decide to stick some holes in him was beyond the younger brother. Mutual pact, Jer had said, after he looked at his labret piercing. Kenny thought it was pretty lame, until Jer decided to get a tattoo himself to go with his piercing. He wasn't sure the guy was licensed, either, but then again, it was the East End, so Kenny didn't ask too many questions. Other than the tattoo, his summer had been spent with the other former orphans, his other family as he saw it. There weren't too many odd questions, at least from Jer's parents, but plenty from Jer himself. After all, how else could he explain the fact that Kenny had suddenly appeared right next to him when they were getting off the train?
Jer had been patient, and asked Kenny what was up. And everything came spewing out. The feeling of not exactly being wanted, the whole issues with his kleptomania, all of it Kenny felt as though it would be the final straw. Jer had Steffi talk to him, and well, she had swatted him. Repeatedly. And then told him he was being dumb and that if his family sent him back to the orphanage she would personally whoop their arses. Which Jer had echoed in his own sentiments, of course after making sure his brother had fun over the summer.
Now the two were at the doorstep, and Kenny wasn't sure if he should knock or open the door. Jer just rolled his eyes at the boy and reached forward, grabbing the doorknob before opening it up. The blond took a look around the place for a second, Kenny mostly attributing it to ingrained habits, before his brother opened his mouth."'Ey, anyone Pope in Rome? I 'ave yer currant ban Kenny wif me! Pretty bobby 'e wanted ter come 'ammer an' tack!"
Kenny clapped his hands over his ears, glaring at Jer for yelling. He was pretty sure if his da hadn't heard him, then Caty or Rhys had. Or heck, any of the rest of the family. His own crimson eyes roved around the room before punching Jer in the shoulder."You had to yell, didn't you Jer? Pretty sure that a couple of people a few blocks down missed it just now."Of course he grumbled, but inside, he was actually glad that Jer had broken the ice. Maybe. Now it was just a case of seeing what his family thought of their recalcitrant son.

→Ciaran had been reading listlessly in the living room while also keeping an eye on Caty as she tried out her new easy baker oven he and Aedan had bought for her. Any other day he would be right down there with her helping her mix and teasingly trying to sneak his finger into her brownie batch but ever since the beginning of summer with Kenny running away, he couldn't really do much of anything. When he had gone to the station to pick him up but saw no one he had been worried that maybe he had just missed the train, but then he had contacted the school who said he definitely got onto the express. He had literally been besides himself with anxiety ready to tear up half of England to look for his oldest son when Siobhan called him back saying they received a letter from him. At first he had been overjoyed that his son was alive and at least healthy enough to write, but soon the all imposing anger took him over that his son would just run away like this! It wasn't like they kept him locked in a tower for Circe's sake, he had plenty of free reign and they would never keep him away from his first family, he knew how much he loved them and vice versa! But then his anger had faded leaving him depressed and anguished that Kenny hadn't thought that they cared about him. That he didn't care! He'd admit that he did spend a bit of time with Caty, a tad more so than the other boys, but it was because they were both so independent he didn't want to stifle them or get in there way. He felt like he had just made a giant leap the other day when he made Rhys actually laugh without the form of tickling! And Kenny...he had been so use to either being in charge..he thought he had been doing right! Obviously he hadn't, and now he was paying for it. The next few nights Ciaran would find himself outside Kenny and Rhys' bedroom when he couldn't sleep and the few times that he did he slept in the hidey holes that his son believed he didn't know about after a good cry. He knew he didn't look his best; his normal curly do was scraggly at best, he had bags beneath his eyes that could hold ever shoe collection by Oscar De La Renta, and he was positive that he had lost at least three pounds. With a sigh, the father turned another page in the book he was decidedly not reading and gave a wan smile to his daughter when she turned towards him to show off her newest chocolaty creation. Just then he heard the door open and assumed it was either Siobhan, Aedan, or even just Pru when he heard a loud voice with a terrible accent talking about the...Pope? But then he heard the name Kenny and thought perhaps they knew where he was, then actually heard Kenny's voice and burst from his seat and ran over to the front door to see two teenage boys. One was obviously his son, who looked a bit taller than when he'd last seen him ('Christmas' he thought with a painful jolt), a bit on the skinny side but healthy from what he could see. The other boy looked to be the picture that ever mother showed their teen daughters on what a miscreant would look like, but he couldn't exactly pass judgement. He had piercings (none in his face, ow) and his style of clothing was almost just an updated version of what he used to wear, but that wasn't the point! The point was his baby was home! "K-Kenny!" Ciaran rasped through his dry mouth before he ran over and hugged his son with all his strength trying to decide whether he should sob or choke the boy. Or perhaps both. "Kenneth Blake-Lowery where the hell have you been?! Do you have any idea what you put this family through?! We went searching for your scrawny a** halfway to Finland before you sent that letter to Siobhan andandand that was it! Nothing else just a whambamthankyamam! I-argh! Do you know how hard it is seeing you and not wanting to cry in joy that your home but also strangle ya cos ya left?!" the man shouted at his son alerting Caty who ran from the living room to see her big brother was finally home. With a squeal she ran straight through her Da's long legs and wrapped her whole body around Kenny babbling on about how much she had missed him. Ciaran was still seething but even he could admit that this was a touching scene, but not right at that moment. "Caty luv, do ya mind goin' to ya room fer a bit while I talk to ya brother?" he asked the girl gently. Her bottom lip poked out and wobbled dangerously. "But whhhyy Daddy?" her Da sighed and just crouched low to murmur into her ear that there were important things he needed to talk about with Kenny but she could come back when he said she could. The little girl still didn't like it but she nodded and gave her brother's friend a wave and smile (it was the polite thing to do after all!) before leaving for her room. Ciaran was now standing straight back up with his arms crossed in front of him and his eyes set on his son. "I'm waintin'." was all he said.←

spaceSiobhan looked up from the stove at the sound of the front door opening, curious. Who on Earth... then she heard the shouting, and her eyebrows shot up. The blonde took a moment to check and make sure that nothing was in danger of burning or boiling over in the next couple of minutes, and then headed towards the entryway. Ciaran beat her there, of course, and was already yelling at Kenny when she got to the two boys. As soon as she laid eyes on her nephew, her shoulders sagged in relief, and she brushed past Ciaran, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder."Welcome home, mac dearthár,"she murmured in the middle of a long enough pause, and then she speared the blonde boy with a look, gesturing with a tilt of her head for him to follow her. She led the young man back to the kitchen, eyeing him carefully. This would be Jer, then, the one who'd scrawled his message at the bottom of Kenny's letter to try and relieve their worries. It hadn't worked, of course, but at least the boy had made an effort."Funny, I don't recall my nephew having a tattoo when we dropped him off after the Christmas holidays,"she said coolly, unable to keep the faintest of smiles from her lips. Honestly, if a bit of ink was all Kenny had to show for the Summer, she'd be grateful... even if it was a bit more than a bit of ink. Were the child a bit older, she'd not have even batted an eye at it, actually... and given the appearance of the young man before her, she supposed that her brothers-in-law should just be thankful it was just a tattoo and not that on top of piercings on top of more piercings. She pointed to a chair across the island from where she stood, clearly meaning for him to sit."Thank you for looking after him,"she told him. As far as she could tell, Kenny didn't look any worse for the wear... whether he would still look so good after his fathers were through with him was another matter altogether. But, from just her brief look at the child, she'd say he hadn't gotten himself into too much trouble over the break. She assumed she had Jer to thank for that. After all, she'd be willing to bet Kenny would have run away with or without his support. They were lucky that he'd had someone to look after him at all.

I know we got it good, but they got it made, And their grass is getting greener each day, I know things are looking up, but soon they'll take us down, Before anybody's knowing our name
Kenny finished shoving one of the last things in his room into his bag before he took a good look around. Between Aedan and Andrea, he didn't feel welcome anymore. Aedan had never even shown up when he came home after he ran away, and Andi had gotten it into her head that somehow getting married and settling down were the main reasons for a woman and dismissed the fact that it might just be insulting to the last children in the estate. He hadn't wanted to make a scene with Andi, and was thankful that his other aunt had taken care of that. Sighing, he ran a hand through his raven locks before he looked around one more time. Ever since he was nine, he had been living here. Ten actually, considering he started Hogwarts before he turned twelve. Sighing, he quickly waved his wand and cast a spell to summon anything he might have missed before he packed that away too.
He really couldn't do this. However, he couldn't stand living in a home where one parent seemed to just ignore everything while the other was trying to make a family work. Ciaran tried, he really did, but it was Aedan that really got Kenny wishing he had been just adopted by the curly-haired Irishman. He didn't know what it was, but Aedan just seemed more interested in his work than his own family. And certainly more interested in Ciaran than his children. He gripped his wand a bit, trying to reign in the feeling that he really wanted to deck the older male before he unclenched his fist. Sparks had flown out, and Kenny was afraid he'd have set something alight by accident. He didn't want to leave his home of seven years in that state, even if it felt as though he should have stayed at the orphanage. However, he wouldn't have met Siobhan, or Pru, or Ciaran had he not been adopted. His thoughts were so confusing on the whole subject that Kenny didn't know where to begin.
He zipped up his bag with a bit more force than necessary, having shrunk everything down before closing it up. His eyes then looked over to Rhys, who was seated on his bed. Tessa was also seated on the bed, curled up to her master with her head in his lap as Rhys looked to be reading. However, he could tell that the white-haired kid wasn't, as his eyes weren't moving and his mouth, which betrayed him when he was mentally sounding out new words, was still. The kid hadn't said much lately, hardly spoke at all, and Kenny recalled a time when Rhys would talk only to him. Now his younger brother had clammed up entirely, and Kenny wondered if Rhys also could feel the tension in the house. He couldn't tell for sure though. Sighing, he made his way over to Rhys and sat down with him."Hey, I'm not going to always be gone, you know. I mean, I'll still come over for holidays and visits to see you and Caty. I just won't live here is all."
Kenny watched as Rhys's fingers rose and he started signing something. Kenny didn't like that. He knew his baby brother was smart, but that he had been teaching himself sign language just made Kenny wince. What, was Rhys afraid that if he said something, someone would notice him? Though, Rhys had gone for a good long while at the orphanage without saying a word to almost everyone and rarely got noticed. He supposed it was a defence mechanism. One that Kenny really didn't like. Hugging his brother, Kenny sighed into Rhys's hair and rubbed his back."I'll be fine. So will you, Rhys. Just, keep an eye on Caty when I'm not here? I know you can do it."
Kenny took one look around his former room before he stepped out, slinging the bag over his shoulder. It clanked a bit and Kenny winced before he made his way to the kitchen. He saw Ciaran standing in there, working on something and bit his lip. He then knocked on the doorframe to get his da's attention, clearing his throat."Um, hey Da, I... I'm about to leave. I just figured I should let you know."Doing this was a lot harder than Kenny thought it could be, but he didn't want to drag it out. However, part of him was afraid this would be the straw that broke the camel's back, and that would be it. He didn't want to be hated by the man that raised him, after all.

→Ciaran was working in the kitchen with Caty simultaneously making a batch of new peppermint bark that practically exploded in your mouth and pinwheel holiday cookies because he couldn't say know to his daughter's pleading green eyes. Honestly he was happy for he distraction. When Kenny had come home for the holidays he hadn't put much thought into why he looked so troubled, he thought perhaps it was classes, studying for NEWT's (gods he didn't miss it) and had gone to his room that first night with a cup of everything included cocoa to hash out all his woes and had been given one instead. His son wanted to move out, and not just regular "teenage rebellion" move out but actually go and never return. He had of course asked if this was because of two summers ago and if there was anything he could do to change his mind but had just been given negatives. He was grateful it wasn't something he had done but devastated when he learned the true reason, and the horrible part was he couldn't blame him. The candy maker had also been feeling the absence of his husband lately and had tried to talk to him about being more involved in their children's lives but ever since the wedding last summer it had seemed to only get worse. And then to add to things his little gcáithnínísneachta had regressed to back when he had arrived from the orphanage. He completely stopped talking, he hid out in either the library or his bedroom and would only come out for food if he dragged him. He had even started using sign language! It was breaking his heart bit by bit to see his children this way, even his usual Peter Pan was looking as though Neverland wasn't as amazing as she thought it was. He knew he had to do something and he would. Will. For now, all he could do was hope it wasn't too late.
Ciaran let loose a sigh he hadn't thought he held in as he absentmindedly laid the still pliant chocolate on the wax paper to harden later in the frost box. He had just been about to compliment Caty on her excellent batch of pinwheels when he heard a throat clear and saw Kenny standing in the doorframe of the kitchen with a full pack on his shoulder. So it was time. His mouth dried as he tried to find the words to say and any semblance of normal thought left his mind. He didn't know if he could do this; just let his son walk out like this. But he had seen the stubborn look the teen gave him when talking about his plan, to his misguided amusement he even thought it looked a bit like himself when he was being stubborn as well, and knew nothing he could say would stop him. He offered him a small smile that he knew probably looked as weak as it felt and walked over to him with slightly unsteady legs and tugged him into a tight deep hug which might look slightly awkward considering he was much shorter than his still growing son but he didn't care. He took one short shuddering breath and pulled back a while later with water gathering behind his eyes that he was determined not to let fall. "Sen' me a little missive ta know you...you made it safe an' soun' alrigh'? Oh! Oh, an' I uh, I made ya a lil' basket of stuff ta take with ya ta Siobhan's. It's mainly fer you but I gotta lil' of everythin' fer the res' of the fam." he said with a heavy chuckle.
Caty, having watched the interaction between her Da and big brother, suddenly ran from her spot at the table colliding with Kenny's long legs with a not-so-quiet sob welling within her. She didn't want him to go again! "Don't leave Kenny! I'll never make you play Easy Baker if you don' wanna! An' an' I'll let you be Peter Pan all the time!" the little girl pleaded crying against the tall teen. Ciaran tried to pull her off but she clung even harder forcing him to give up when really all he wanted was to do the exact same thing.←

I know we got it good, but they got it made, And their grass is getting greener each day, I know things are looking up, but soon they'll take us down, Before anybody's knowing our name
Kenny clutched Ciaran back, trying to draw as much strength for this as he could while trying to simultaneously draw some for himself. Damn it, he was seventeen years old! By muggle standards, he wasn't an adult, but by wizarding ones he was. He buried his face into his da's shoulder, trying to feel like his world wasn't about to be upended. He was making the choice though. He was willingly leaving, and he couldn't. Maybe Aedan would finally wake up, maybe things would get better for Rhys and Caty. He wasn't going to stay away completely, he would visit to check on his siblings, and he refused to stay away from his da. He remembered a time he'd refused to go with Ciaran and Aedan, stating that he wouldn't leave without Rhys. He hadn't wanted to lose another brother like he thought he had lost Jer and Cain. Cain, he'd never returned, which was why he still clung so tightly to the family he had first. Would things had been different had he never gone with them? He didn't know, and it was basically useless to think on that considering that it happened. There were never takebacks in life.
He drew in a shuddering breath, ignoring the fact that he'd probably soaked a bit of Ciaran's shoulder and instead swallowed hard as Ciaran stepped back. He could see the tears in his da's eyes, but he couldn't think of what the hell he could do differently to make things better. Ciaran was trying, and he couldn't ask his da to try any more than he already was. This was something that he had to do."I'll send Gandalf. I think he's more than a little anxious to do a bit of flying since I came back for the holiday. and I'll make sure I tell aunt Siobhan that you sent her some things. I think she'll like that."He gave his da his own weak smile and small chuckle."And you'd also better write back, Da. I'm not going to leave you alone of you don't."
Kenny then nearly was bowled over by Caty when she crashed into his legs. Kneeling, he got down to her level to give her a proper hug. He squeezed for all it was worth, and then looked at Caty quietly."I'm not going to be gone forever Caty Cat. I'm still going to come over every now and then. It, just won't be all the time. You also don't have to make me Peter Pan all the time. I don't mind playing even just one of the Lost Boys with you. Just, you think you can help Da watch over Rhys? You know as well as I do that he needs to get out of the library more. And get him to eat his food like he's supposed to. Besides, siblings look out for each other. That's why I'm not going to stay away. I'm just not going to be here all the time."No, he was not going to break down at Caty's tears. He'd already cried when he hugged Ciaran, he didn't want to have another eruption.

→If Ciaran felt wetness against his shoulder as he held onto his son he didn't say, nor did he look at the wet stain now adorning his shirt. He snorted when Kenny agreed to his demand that he write saying that he'd send his newest owl (still amused at the name he had chosen) saying he wouldn't leave him be if he didn't reply. "Tha's the whole poin' of ya writin' in the firs' place innit?" he told him with a sad but amused look and smile. Caty was finally calming down now that her brother was hugging her back thinking maybe she had gotten through to him to stay. Her hopes were dashed immediately when instead he just told her he wouldn't be gone forever and that he'd still visit and even play with her. Then he asked her to help their Da look over Rhys since he wasn't doing so well anymore. She wasn't that oblivious, she knew her slightly older brother was usually quiet but not ever like this. She tried to make him play more, say more, but it was like walking through a taffy lake. Her green eyes steeled with determination however when Kenny told her that siblings looked out for each other and that's what she would have to do and why he wouldn't be gone forever. She gave little sniffs as she wiped away her tears getting more flower and sugar on her face than before but thankfully none in her eyes. "I p-promise Kenny. I'll look after Da an' Rhys for you." she told him with her words slightly muffled by her brother's shirt she was still clinging to. When she pulled back Ciaran quietly told her to go wash her hands and face before the flour and sugar made more of a sticky mess and she left for the washroom leaving just the two of them in the kitchen. I'm guessin' ye already said yer goodbyes ta Rhys, yeah?" the father said quietly and awkwardly. He didn't want this, he wanted to yell at him to not go to stop him and tie him down but that wouldn't help anything or anyone. "I love you Kenny, ye know tha' right?" he asked pleadingly. He might have been the one that was hesitant when the subject of kids came up all those years ago but he couldn't imagine his life without them. He didn't want to.←

Kenny nodded, a slight smile coming to his as he stood to give Ciaran one last hug. He might be a little selfish, but honestly he figured that he was allowed to be."I know. And yeah, I already said goodbye to Rhys. I... I love you too da. Just...."Kenny couldn't finish the words. They were lodged in his throat, and he swallowed hard. Giving Caty one last hug, he almost ran to the mantle, grabbing a handful of Floo powder to use for the trip. Taking a deep breath, he quickly threw in the powder and stated,"Edgeworth Estate!"before stepping into the emerald flames to travel.
