Dakini managed to answer the question before she broke into sobs again. When she calmed, she gently nosed Audra back. Then she froze. A scar by her eyes. "Audra?" She inspected it further. "Where'd this come from?" That definitely hadn't been there before...

Audra backed up, shaking her hair back into her eyes like they normally were. "Nothing, Dakini. Its not important." She said softly, hiding the pain in her voice as best she could. She nuzzled Daki, leaning forward a bit more than she should have had to, had she been able to see the female. "You okay?" She asked softly.

Dakini pouted. "It is important 'cuz you're important," she mumbled. She noted the oddities in Audra's movements, frowning. She nodded slowly, nuzzling the mare back. "I-I guess..." She quietly inspected the mare for other scars or signs of injury. Had she gotten into a fight? She couldn't help feeling concerned and... protective of Audra. The mare was probably stronger than Dakini, but that was irrelevant at the moment.

Audra sighed as it seemed that Dakini wouldn't give the scar issue up. "Dakini.. Its nothing and I'm fine. I promise." She said, keeping her face facing the other mare as best she could, her ears flicking to pick up the slightest movement from her.

"It's not nothing," Dakini couldn't help arguing. "Your movements are odd." Or at the very least, different than they'd been when she'd last seen Audra. She sighed, grudgingly consenting despite her complaints. "But if you're fine, I guess that's ok..." She promised. And unlike Ruin or Demoni, she trusted Audra to keep it.

Audra sighed. "Dakini, lets go to a tree and lay down. You sound tired." She said softly, her ears flicking again as Dakini shifted.

Dakini nodded, nuzzling the mare again. "Let's go... somewhere quiet," she mumbled. She had too much noise in her head to deal with it around her as well. Somewhere quiet to clear her thoughts, to rest... with Audra, of course.

Audra nodded. "Lead the way, Dakini." She said softly, waiting to try and follow the other female, hoping she could make it without alerting Dakini anymore to Audra's blindness.

Lead the way? Wasn't Audra familiar with the land? This was the north, after all. Dakini would think on it later. She was drained and the sooner they got somewhere quiet and sheltered, the sooner she'd be able to respond properly to the warnings she was being given. She trotted along until they were hidden among the northern trees, being careful not to trip on the tree roots that hindered her path. She wasn't used to trees, but she'd gone on enough adventures with Roman in their youth to know that the ground was littered with unpleasant plantlife that would trip her at the wrong step.
"Here," she announced finally, settling below a large oak tree. She hadn't heard much besides crickets for a while... it was hopefully void of other Azrein.

Audra followed Dakini carefully, trying to feel the ground beneath her and step around the roots and foliage while also focusing on the sound of Dakini's hoofsteps, but it was hard to do both, and while trying to pick up Daki's sound again, Audra stumbled. She tried to recover herself quickly, before Daki noticed, but stood up a moment or so too late. "Sorry, I'm a little clumsy..." She said by way of excuse, allowing a small nervous smile.

Dakini waited for Audra to settle next to her before speaking. "That's not it, is it?" she asked softly, lightly running her maw along the warrioress's neck. Her own thoughts were jumbled at the moment, but she was at least aware enough to notice that.

Audra sighed and turned her head away, knowing that she wasn't going to get away from it now. She nosed at Daki before lowering herself carefully to the ground. "I can't see anymore." She said softly, her ears flicked back against her head.

Dakini tiredly snuggled against the other mare, sighing. "Nnn... I see..." She sighed, draping her neck across Audra's shoulders as she closed her eyes. "I guess I'll just... have to be your eyes, then..." To the demoness's frazzled brain, it didn't seem odd at all. If Audra couldn't see, Dakini would see things for her. Just as a tactician was supposed to do for a warrior: seeing dangers before they arrived...

Audra gave a small, sad smile. "Sleep, Daki." She said softly, laying next to her and waiting for her to fall asleep. When Dakini awoke, Audra wouldn't be there. In Audra's mind, Daki deserved better than a blind, broken warrioress.

Dakini's mind happily obeyed the gentle command. She would sleep contently. Audra was there, after all. She had her warrioress...
