Rosaline smiled softly at Adrian when it was mentioned that Lillian had offered him some money. She knew that her husband wouldn't like any of that, but it happened whether it was to his liking or not. "Envy her? Is it because of the money or something else?" she asked with concern lacing her tone. She did not know this boy's situation, though she, like Lillian, wanted to help him in any way that she could, at least as much as was within reason.

Adrian took a deep breath. "The latter, mainly because she has something I never really had, and for the short time I did.... well, it didn't last long," he said quietly as he bowed his head for a moment. "They died in a car accident... and I was thrown from the vehicle into a nearby river... I heard the car explode before..." he murmured before he shrugged slightly. He was fairly sure she'd manage to put it together that his adoptive parents who'd chosen him at the age of seven and a half had been killed not three months after they'd taken him into their home.

Rosaline frowned as she heard Adrian speaking. "You poor boy... I'm so sorry to hear that... I know that there's nothing that I could do to help about that, though you could come around to visit Lillian any time that you want and if her father says anythign to you, just let Lillie or I know and we'll set him straight." she said in a very kindly, caring voice that she normally used when speaking to her younger patients. "I'll send Lillie in whenever you feel ready to talk to her." she added, putting the money back into her wallet, though she did let him know taht she was going to have Lillian take him out to get him some things, if he'd accept them and he would not have to worry about repaying them. Though she did joke about giving Lillian cooking lessons as payment.

Adrian tilted his head. "If you want, I can show you where I've been staying; I have different fruits, berries, roots, and a few recipes you might be interested in, I'm sure," he said with a small smile, nodding at her offer about her daughter. He personally didn't mind going out, since to him it was more exploration he'd had yet to do. "Besides, you never did tell me your name, ma'am," he said quietly.

"I think that would be nice, though I can imagine that if Lillie goes she's not going to want her mom tagging along when she's with friends." Rosaline said smiling. She was surprised at how polite this boy was and she said, "You sure are polite and my name is Rolsaline Stacy, though you can just call me Rosaline. however, if you're in the house visiting, please, for the sake of my husband call me Mrs. Stacy or he may get angry with your lack of formality... he thinks he's all high and mighty just because he's high up the corperate ladder..." she said sighing and shaking her head by the end of her sentence.

Adrian tilted his head thoughtfully. "Trust me, it may be a good idea, as the trail does tend to get rugged in places, and I doubt Lillian would be too amused if she nearly fell into the same river I did even though I do have a way to get over it," he said with a slight shrug. "I'll remember that, though," he said with amusement when she introduced herself. He shrugged at her words about him being polite since he'd learned to do so for good reason. He was much more intelligent than he usually came off as at times.

"Well, if you ask her if she'd like to go hiking with you she'd probably be more than happy to go. And I think that she'd trust a friend of hers to not let anything happen." Roosaline said with a kind smile on her face. She then said taht since he was given all the shots and treatment that she felt was needed, for now, he could get redressed and he could go with Lillian to get some new clothes or whatever he felt the need to get.
"Oh, I should mention, if you haven't already been told, Lillie prefers swimming over hiking. But she will go hiking with you if you ask. She tends to put her friends before herself and that's not always the best thing... I know she means well, though she doesn't always look out for herself." Rosaline said in a concerned tone, as she thought of how her daughter treated her friends.
Lillian was pacing outside the room, almost tempted to go in, though she thought better of it because she wasn't sure they were finished or not. She didn't want to just go in and end up embarrassing everyone in there, so she just leaned against the wall, nibbling on a candy bar that she had gotten for herself.

Adrian chuckled. "She isn't the first person I've met like that, trust me; Naru is just like her, though Naru's extremely skilled with pranks... her personality, however, is very similar to Lillian's," he said with amusement. He wasn't going to tell Rosaline that he and Naru were like siblings though they were in no way related as he had tanned skin and dark bluish black hair while Naru was slightly pale with bright golden blond hair and cerulean eyes. He shifted so that he was standing and picked up the sole of the ruined sneaker. "I do know the first thing I plan on getting: decent sneakers or shoes... these things, no pun intended, are falling short on the job," he said with a small smile. He took the ruined and tattered sneakers off of his feet, glad that he had the more flexible and tough sandals in his backpack that he almost always had with him. He tied them on, not really realizing that they looked more like something a Spartan would wear.
He pulled the door open, his gaze shifting before he spotted Lillian leaning against the wall.

Rosaline nodded in understanding before saying, "I can imagine that Lillie's getting impatient out there waiting. She'll probably want to see if you're all right and everything like that." she said chuckling to herself before heading out of the room. She noticed that Lillian was nibbling a candy bar and said, "I'll let your father know that you're going to be out with a friend and that you may be home late. Just please don't come home too late or your father will not be happy at all about it." After she finished speaking she headed down the hall and made her way out of the hospital.
Lillian heard someone coming out of the room and she looked to see if it was Adrian, though the first to come out was her mother. Lillian sighed at this and nodded as her mother spoke; thankful when she walked away. When she saw Adrian she stopped eating her candy, stopped leaning on the wall and then said, "So, did you want to head to the mall or somewhere to get some new things for you? I don't mind taking friends places to get them things, so get whatever you feel that you need. You can even buy things that you don't need, if you want?" she said, not thinking that she just got thinks because she wanted them, not needing them due to her the money she got from her father.

Adrian tilted his head as he watched Rosaline leave. "Sure, though I don't really care where we go, so it's up to you," he said, unaware that most guys would have never said something like that to a girl, especially a rich one. He wondered if Rosaline had noticed that he'd slipped his herbal remedy into her jacket pocket when he'd slid off the examination table. He had slid the soda and chocolate that Lillian had left for him into his backpack, though whether she'd noticed it or not was up to her.

Lillian tilted her head as she listened to Adrian before saying, "All right," she led him out to her car, grabbing his hand not even thinking about it. Once she saw the car she had brought she pulled out her keys and opened both the passanger and driver's sides. "Well, I was thinking that we could hit the mall first, though maybe we could get you something somewhere else, then you could change out of those clothes you have on now." She said while climbing into the car, then she said, "If that's all right with you, or we could just go to the mall right now?" She looked at his clothes and sighed to herself, thinking that if anyone saw him they may tease him; because she knew that some of her friends from school would be there at the mall that night, due to the movie that they were all going to see in the small cinema there. She didn't want to have her friends, some of which she should have not been friends with, taunting Adrian if his clothes weren't to their liking. One bad habit that Lillian had was not being able to tell who was trying to take advantage of her and were only her friends to get her to buy them whatever they wanted without having her think twice before saying yes.

Adrian chuckled. "That's fine with me, so I don't mind at all how we do it," he said with a small smile. He tilted his head with a faint half smile. "Besides, to be honest, I had some clothes almost finished, but they weren't ready for me to wear so I wore some of my.. well..." he said with a shrug.

Lillian smiled and started up the car. She knew of one store that she could get Adrian a nice set of clothes that would be perfect for one that goes outdoors a lot or even one that lives outdoors. The store seemed to be something of a sporting goods store, though they had regular clothing there too. While she drove she wanted to start a conversation, though she coudln't think of anything to say because she tended to focus more on driving than on talking when in her car. When she finally got them there she pulled into the parking lot and said, "Here we are, and I'm sorry that I didn't say anything... I don't normally talk a lot while driving... Not since I hit that poor deer because I wasn't concentrating on the road..." she had to turn her head because she wasn't sure if she could keep from letting tears fall or not. The deer hadn't died when it was hit and that had made it worse, although the fact that her father had to shoot the animal to put it out of it's misery made it even harder for her to deal with the situation. She collected herself rather quickly, though when she tried explaining what happened she just choked up again; it was actually very embarrassing for her, but she wasn't all that good with keeping calm once she started.

Adrian looked at the store with some surprise, having never seen anything like it before. "It's okay; just because you remain focused doesn't mean that it's going to bother me. Trust me, I don't mind at all," he said with amusement. "I can say that I've never been to this part of the city, though... well, not very often; I know parts of the city like the back of my hand, but this one I haven't visited in a long time," he said with a small smile.

Lillian stopped her sniveling the best she could and listened to Adrian, since he came first right in that moment. "All right... I could try talking, though if I see any sort of movement on the road I'll probably stop... I wouldn't want to make it seem like I'm ignoring you." she said before replying to the second thing that was said by Adrian. "I could take you almost anywhere you want. I mean since I have a car I can go just about anywhere, well not downtown, though that's because it's not safe or so my dad says and I wouldn't want to make him angry by disobeying him. Anyhow, let's get you in here and get you some new clothes before we go to the mall, if you want?" As she finished speaking she started walking slowly towards the front doors of the building.
